It's due east of Los Angeles, off I-10 in San Bernardino County. A little too far from me .

I plan on going, though I have a job the next day in Santa Barbara, LOL. But oh well....it has to be done. :-)

It's been a million years since I've posted a concert review on any band - but someone on another board asked me a question, and this was my response, and it hit me I should probably share it here also!
There were technical difficulties - they kept blowing fuses - but it was still a totally satisfying show.
And Wish You Were Here was the best I've ever seen it - since I saw it live, during Rock Star. Marty had a low slung, super cool white guitar, and it was just about the sexiest thing I've ever seen. Low slung guitars are just the only way to go! And then he started to play it, and he played with the phrasing a bit - not the vocals, the instrumentation. I almost started to cry it was so beautiful - and I'm not talking about the words, or the meaning of the song, I'm talking about the sound - his guitar, Tracii's guitar looping around it, and then the vocal sound. Just almost too much to bear, it was so beautiful.
So yeah, that's the shortest review ever, but if you haven't been able to see a show lately, it might be just the thing you're aching to hear!

Where is Mentone? And who is going? Good question! I actually live about 45 minutes away from Mentone, and I had never ever heard of it. I thought it might be in the Bay Area, when I first heard about this show. Thank heaven I decided to Google it, just in case it was within driving distance!

Thanks for the review, Cheryl! I hope I get a chance to see a performance this summer.
I wonder if anyone videotaped it? However, I'm sure it wouldn't have the quality necessary to really show what it sounded like in person.

So, I decided this was too far for me to make, I am trying to be responsible with my funds. After reading this review, I literally feel sick with regret! I cannot...believe... there were not One but Two shows in my State and I missed them both. And I call myself a Marty fan. I may not recover. Janell

Don't be so hard on yourself Janell, California is a big state. LOL. With the exception of a show in Redding, I think they've only played in Southern California. A nice alternative to a lengthy road trip is a quick flight on Southwest. Their rates are pretty good.
