Sharon!!
Sure wish I could spend NYE with you again this year!! Alas! Not to be! My GOD, I want to be there so much!! Ashley has a new baby (Xavier) and I can't leave them--not to mention that Ash's bday (25) is NYD--so I just can't! But I will be thinking about all of you and the fun we all had two years ago!! Please, when you are hugging one another, remember some of them (the hugs) are from me, and I wish I was there!! I will be half a state away in Vandalia IL with my grandbabydaddy's band. I'll give you a cellcert if you give me one...6182257652................
Ah..............I'll miss you all...............

We're waiting another week to book our tix because of our babysitter, but should have them soon. I was able to convince my hubby quite easily because I'm a workaholic, so when I said he could have 36 straight hours with me, although he'd have to share some of it with Marty and my friends here at the ORG, he happily agreed. I however, did have to agree not to talk about Marty, the ORG or the Lovehammers on the 5 hour trip to chicago and through dinner. After Dinner, I'm free to have a Marty Party and then he gets to pick something for us to do on the 1st before we come back to Bloomington. We have 2 year old and 4 year old daughters so a night away is a huge treat. This is our christmas present to each other and from my parents....otherwise it would not have been possible. I love it when things work out. I look forward to seeing you all there.
Lynn, or anyone else who has been there before....how do they divide the venue as far as the tickets go. Are there actual seats? Are there still decent vantage points for taking pics during the show if you don't have VIP tix?

That's great, Adrienne. It will be great to see you and your hubby. There are no seats - standing only. The crowd around the stage is generally moving all the time - but dedicated Hammerheads usually are up front. I'm usually a couple of rows back for pics and I move around. I don't stay up front because I try to spend time with hubby. Now, if we can introduce them to each other - they will have company and you and I can work our way down front.

Adrienne I'm so glad that you guys are getting to do this. My hubby will be there, too. He usually is all over the place, but I try to get up front and stay put. He'll be happy to know there's another hammerhubby there as his usual crew doesn't seem to be coming. Lyn, I think our hubbies have always been at opposite shows so they'll have to meet this time. They're both such troopers.

hey jupiter jane, congrats on the great gift from the parents! as far as i can tell from this thread, here are the attendees: you + hubby, willev7, JS, IWOmusic, chifan, ndavis021410, (perhaps RJ?) and me i've booked a room with double beds. so if anyone wants to take the extra bed and split the cost of the room ($229 / 2 = $114.50 before tax), please send me a pm. i may be a stranger to you, but i'm clean and i'm considerate i went ahead and booked the VIP ticket, but we'll see if there is any real benefit... there's always the risk of hype. maybe save some moolah to use towards silver elements gear instead? cheers! Thanks for including me above. I did mention that I wanted to be there and I still do. But... I'm moving on Jan 2nd and I still have to rent my condo where I'm living now -- soooooo, it's doubtful I'll be able to pull this off. Bummer. Crossing my fingers for a show in early '09...

Me and my hubby (Paul) are going! He already met Larry (Lyn's hubby) and would like to meet the whole gang already I would probably cruise a bit, don't like to be planted in one spot for the whole night, so no VIP tickets for us. Looking forward to seeing everybody

I'm so excited. Hammerhubbies unite.....I'm planning on staying at the hotel and I think Rachael you are too, so we'll have to introduce the hubbies early in the night....then we don't have to feel so guilty when we hang out with our other guys! ;-) We'll probably opt out of the VIP tix from what I'm hearing....although we are thinking of eating dinner at the hotel....less hassle. Look forward to seeing everyone!

We're staying at the hotel too. Not sure what time we're getting there, or if we'll eat dinner there or not. We didn't buy the dinner package or VIP.
Maybe we can figure out a place in the hotel to meet up.

sounds like a plan Lyn. I'm not familiar with the hotel, so we'll have to swap numbers and such and more concrete plans as the date draws near. I think $70 is a bit steep for dinner, but figuring that we'd have to hail a cab or pay to park somewhere else, the convenience is nice. We are going to aim for dinner at 6pm there at the hotel if that is still an option.....I think you can add the dinner package on pretty easy. I'm holding off just a couple more days. My friend's (who is keeping my kids) mother is going in for brain surgery tomorrow to remove a tumor, so please keep them in your prayers.

It is hysterical reading about all the 'hammerhubbies'....I need to get mine on board. Maybe after a few more shows. I don't suppose it would be too much to wish for a birthday show in February??? Not sure if Marty will be back in the States by then but a girl can wish, can't she?? Everyone have a fantastic time! I'll post a message after we return from the Burr Ridge Holiday Stroll. Hopefully I'll have some good pictures to share and stories to tell! My boys have their Guitar Hero t-shirts ready and their sharpies packed!

hee hee. Mine embraces it Judy. He really loves how LH has brought so many of us together and is looking forward to meeting some new HHs. IWO, I think our hubbies met at the pre-party last year. We are staying at the hotel, too. Not sure what dinner plans are. Normally, I don't eat until after the show. Maybe a late lunch instead. I'm usually too anxious to sit still that long. lol
