MCLH Gets Airtime in Manila!

I'm de-lurking today to share something wonderful that has happened!

I am a total MCLH fanatic (need I even say that? ;D) and I guess I've drawn my 4-year old daughter into their music as well. Last night, she was playing with her Dad's mp3 player that came with a radio. She had the earphones plugged in and suddenly, she offered me one of the earphones and said something like (I'm translating to English) .. "Mama, take this, it's for you". I was quite busy and tried to shrug her off but she stood up, came over to me and said, "Mama, it's Marty". I took it and whaddayaknow... it IS MCLH with TREES! What surprised me to death and made me so ecstatic was that, she wasn't listening to stored media!!! She was listening to the radio!!! She was on 103.5 (an alternative rock station here in Manila, God knows how she got there!!) and I just couldn't believe they were playing TREES! I screamed and little daughter screamed with me and we happily jumped around while hubby looked on with a patronizing grin.

It gets sweeter!!! This morning, I tuned in again to the same station on my way to work and TREES is on the airrrr!!! I was literally jumping in my seat with joy!!! Oh, I'm still so ecstatic!

Which brings me to giving a shout out to MIA... thank you for all the work you've done. MCLH is getting aired, you've done so well!! I've read recently that you're not 100%, hope you get better soon!

I'm better, thanks! Yes, Trees is also being played in Cebu at Y101FM. Invaded that radio station too! LOL.
Gave the CD to Klite last Thursday and had an interview with them as well.

Wow! This is good news! I hardly have time to listen to the radio, but I am happy that they are playing Trees here in Manila...

TREES went up 5 spots from #32 to #27!!!!

I used 3 cellphones to text in my votes during the Weds. Weekly Tally. The station was bombarded by my votes and said I was so in love with the band on the radio. Whatever. I wanted them to win! But yeah, I love their music so very much!

Only in its 3rd week on Klite 103.5FM Manila's New Alternative station,
Trees is progressively climbing up their Weekly Tally Charts
every week. From #27 last week to #23 this week, Trees is making its mark
on Manila's rock music scene as a strong contender to reach the top.
Once Marty Casey and the Lovehammers get to Manila, a special event
by Klite awaits the kings of rock and roll--Marty, Billy, Dino, and Bobby.


On it's 4th week on Y101FM The Rhythm Station Cebu, Trees
has never failed to move up the stations Weekend Top 20.
Last week it was #10 and now #5 and will soon rise above
the rest. Trees will be #1!

NU Rock 107 Manila will also feature a song from the new album.
Frank Brew, the station's program director is deciding which
song to plug in on their playlist and it won't be Trees. He wants
to feature a different song from the album--a song that's louder,
hard-driven, and gritty which NU 107 Rock is known for playing.
RX 93.1 Monster Radio and 88.3 The Jam are two other stations in Manila
reviewing the CD. Will let you all know what the scoop is soon.
When the video of Trees is done, be sure to wait for its grand
debut on MTV Philippines.
