Okay, everyone use that link!!! We need to just bomb them with Marty requests!!!!! YAY!!! Cheza officially started this but I am naming it the "GET MARTY ON OPRAH CAMPAIGN!!!"
Here is what I wrote, that way we can all just support each other's Marty lovin'! Beware, you have to keep it under 2000 characters, which sucked because I had about 3000 words of Marty lovin' LOL
The Reality TV Star who should be on the show lives in Chicago, Illinois. His name is Marty Casey on a show called Rockstar INXS in 2005. The show was a contest where contestants competed to become the lead vocalist for the Australian rock band INXS, which was left without a frontman after the death of Michael Hutchence. Those of us tuned into the show had no idea our hearts would be won over by some of the most amazing undiscovered talent in the music business. Amongst this talent was a skinny, blue eyed, sort of quiet/shy, musician by the name of Marty Casey. At least we thought he was quiet until he took the stage. Timid Marty appeared in full rockstar mode and exploded with the energy that most had only previously been seen in front men like Mick Jagger, Meatloaf, Steven Tyler, and other rare performers known for their charismatic ways of bringing music to life on stage. Marty maintained a support group that brought him to the runner up position but he has since returned to his hometown of Chicago and brought his new fan base with him, inviting us to shows where he fronts his own band, Lovehammers, who he has been with for over 18 years now. The band really goes above and beyond for those who travel many miles to see them. The most amazing thing about Marty and his band is that they give so much to charity with fundraisers for our military veterans including Christmas box campaigns every year where they call on us fans to send in gifts for our vets. Marty recently did an event for Alzheimer’s to help raise money, and he has a jewelry collection where the proceeds plant trees. Marty is one of the kindest, gentlest, spirits I have ever met and nobody I know deserves to appear on your show more than he does! He would do anything for his fans, and I would LOVE to see him get to sit on that stage with you. I would think that would at least make him know how much we appreciate all he does for us and for the veterans, and other charities throughout the year!
