This was a fun evening! Marty gave an interesting interview (sorry I don't have a video camera!), and afterward T.J gave away a trip to Jamaica. (Darn--not to me!)
I did take some photos during the interview. I'll try to remember more details of it when my brain wakes up--ha ha!
One thing that stands out is that Marty said his original plan when he started college was to be a high school math teacher! He said once he took some of the classes for it, he realized that wasn't what he really wanted to do. He switched to finance because that was another way to use math, which he really likes. T.J. asked him why he didn't study music, and he said that he thought it would work better to get a degree in something else and then work on his music, than to work on music first, then try to go back later for a degree.
What's especially interesting about his interest in both math and music is that there is a strong correlation between the two subjects. Very cool!
It was a good time! Marty was enjoying hanging out with everyone there, and by the end of the evening, he was dancing on the bar with the bartenders!!! ;D
We had a laugh with him about that before we left, and I told him "There are photos....."
He said he was glad there was, so expect a little treat later!
