Marty,

I just wanted to tell you that you are a GREAT song writer and singer. Not winning that INXS contest was a blessing for you. I say this because your gifts and talents would have been shut down because they were not willing expand who they were. It really sucks that you don't get more radio play because your Lovehammers music is way better than a whole lot of what IS GETTING played. Have you tried the alternative stations? I live in las Vegas and the station 107.5 would be perfect for you.

I appreciate your message. Rockstar was a long time ago. For a period of time I wondered what it would have been like if I had won Rockstar. There were moments that I was beside myself because I did not go there to lose and it was difficult to be on tour as the opening act. Over time, I realized that I needed to turn my perspective aorund (like the little girl in the Exorcist) and set my sights in the right direction. It might have made for an easier 2006 and 2007 if I had caught a ride on the big machine but it's not what I was given. I did what I always knew how to do and that was put a goal in my head and work to attain it. When it came time to write the new record "Heavy Crown" I had alot of new experiences and personalities surrounding me that let me focus the lyrics in a new direction. I had hoped that they would dig a little deeper into the listeners skin. Tried to tell it like it is instead of disguising the feeling with cleaver innuendo. I am really proud of the Hammers and how hard they pushed themselves to bring the music up to a new level. All in all I think it's a proud accomplishment for the band.

This is the first album that we have gotten a fair push to radio and it is exciting to see a good number of stations across the country adding the single. I am also anxiously anticipating the completion of the video for Guns that is being produced by Monkey Wrench Productions. We shot this in Novemeber and an UNBELIEVABLE amount of CGI work has been completed and we are (hopefully) nearing the completion. It will be worth the wait to see Bobby, Dino, Billys' and Myself in animation. Hopefully we look more like Avatar's and less like Smurfs!
