Wow ~ I've been trying to find some time to post about the CD "Marty Casey & Lovehammers" for a couple of ... months now. I know the "Marty Casey &" part is a total compromise on Marty's part ... the label wanted him, he wanted the "whole band" ... what a loyal guy!
This CD is FABULOUS!
I've been so HAMMERED since I got it at their show in St. Charles, MO ... WOW ~ of course, I'd heard a lot of their stuff on their (at the time "their" site, it's now Epic's) ... not being from Chicago (or cool) I'd never heard of these guys before ... but I'm a huge rock//new rock//alternative rock// nut.
I can't believe I missed out on these guys while they were still playing "local venues" ... 'course I don't live in Chicago ... but how could such a GREAT band be undiscovered for this long ... I listen to a lot of new music, and NOTHING has got me going like Lovehammers!
I thank RS:INSX for bringing LOVEHAMMERS into the ... what ... brains of those wishing for better rock? 'cause these guys are so ROCKING ... with a cool, funny, sweet, satirical, sexy edge ... who can resist?
