I just got my mail and in it was a thank you note from Paula's family for the card I sent. I could not believe that with all that they are going through that they took the time to write thank you notes. This act of kindness just shows how wonderful Paula must have been. Her children are so thoughtful and kind to write these notes to total strangers. I know that Paula is proud of her kids for their kindness--what mom would not be!!

Sam definitely is her mother's daughter. From what I have heard about Paula, Sam is following closely in her footsteps as a wonderfully kindhearted, warm, giving, and spiritual person. I couldn't believe it, but I actually received an thank you card and a personal notecard addressing a letter I had written to Paula. Unfortunately, Paula passed away the day I sent the letter. Sam's note was so touching and understanding. I am amazed at the strength that she has. She also sent me a pink bracelet which I treasure. I don't know if many others do this, but I have written Paula's name on the inside with a sharpie to keep her memory close. I also have written my best friend's mom's name in it. She is the reason I felt the need to write to Paula in the first place. I sincerely wish Sam and her family the best!

Same here. When I received the thank you note I was very touched. It is amazing that they invested time and energy in doing that while going through such a difficult time. Receiving it made me feel even more connected to them and to all of you here at MC.org. I think she might have had a chance to read the letter I sent her. I mailed it really early on. I hope she did and that it brought a smile to her face cause it was really funny and I did some parts in Spanish for her to laugh at and realize what a diverse group of people she had rooting for her and wishing her the best. My heart goes out to her family and friends

I got a lovely thankyou card also, how thoughtful to be thinking of others when they are going through such a hard time.

I rec'd one too -- unbelievable that they could take time to figure out international postage. A great family, I am so happy to have had even a small connection with them.
