Ok, today, my 3 yr old daughter was just playing in her own little pretend world (you know, the one where unicorns are real and toys walk and talk?). When she's playing, she sings everything from church songs to her own little made-up songs. Today, she was singing "Yeah-eh, yeah-eh, yeah-eh, yeah-yeah, yeah!" Can anyone name that tune? I swear I'm going to record her singing "Trees" and send it to the boys just for laughs. She can't enter the karaoke contest, but she has good taste.

I love it when kids sing. It is always so spontaneous and without reservation. Ya gotta sing when the spirit says sing..sing when the spirit says sing........

She is the youngest of four and sings more than any of them did! She even makes up her own songs! She was singing a "Don't break my heart" song the other day. If I record her, I'll have to record her brother too. He's 4 (will be 5 in 2 months )and "plays" guitar and sings. They put on quite a show! lol Heck we might have a whole band here. My 9 yr old plays drums and my 11 yr old plays the trumpet and is learning the guitar. I really think I will record her singing her songs. That would be something to have when she's all grown up.

I'm going to have to make them some Lh shirts. Hmmm...Will wears his home-made Lh shirt to school; his teachers ask who Lh is; I give them all Lh business cards... Is it bad to use your kids for STing? lol Tulsa (he's 9) is my STing buddy. He helps put up flyers and does the CD shuffle at Walmart for me. That's his "job."

Yesterday I walked into my dining room and my 4 year old was singing "my eyes can't see, what is wrong with me..." over and over. I bet there are a lot of little Hammerfans out there, I know all of my kids love them.

My 6 year old daughter has changed the words a bit to Call of Distress. She swears Marty is singing:
Call of distress... mayonnaise, mayonnaise
She's seen the lyrics and knows its wrong, but thinks mayonnaise is so funny that she sings it really loud and then cracks up.

My three kids are as crazy for the guys as I am ! My little girl who is 3 years old as well ask me everyday when she is going to get to see "her Marty and Billy" . My 9 year old was told by Marty to start playing the guitar and now he will not stop asking for one! My six year old thinks that Bobby rocks(he and everyone else) and know whats Santa to bring him a drum set for Christmas. ! I have to say that I am glad they look up to these guys instead of some of the other performers out there right know!!

Yeah, Nicole, at least these are decent guys. We were eating supper last night, and Will (4) says, "Sissy wants to be Marty Casey." And they both break into hysterical laughter. My husband looks at me and says, "So...you've corrupted my children too?" LOL ;D ;D ;D

My three year old plays "rockstar", bellowing the lyrics to Trees (which she knows by heart) and Our Town ("I wanna hear ya hear ya). When her show is over, she throws her "mic" (a spoon) on the floor and says, "Show's over!" The ego of those rockstars, really!

All these stories are great, I love reading about all our crazy kiddies. I could tell a few myself, but I have one that is my fav. My family was at a wedding where they were offering karaoke at the end of the reception (don't ask) and from across the room I hear my two girls, 5 and 10 over the mic. To my surprise they were belting out Mr. Brightside (my 5 yr olds fav. song by Marty Casey Killers as she calls it). I wasn't sure whether to be proud of them for getting up in front of everyone and do karaoke or to be embarrassed that they knew every word to Mr. Brightside lol. It really was hilarious. ;D

OK, I'll share a little.
My six year old will request me to play up the video here at .org where "Marty thinks he's a creep. But he really isn't, Mama!" LOL!
And she loves to dance around to "Trees." She'll say, "When is Marty coming? I want to hear him sing "Trees" and show him my dance." Oh yeah, like I can just have Marty drop in ...
Kids are so great, though. Their enthusiasm is just infectious!

you all have such talented children. I hope that some of you were at the show at the end of June in Chicago. It was an all ages show, and Marty was saying that they love to do all ages shows and wish they could do more. So Marty was saying that the kids are the future of the music business. And to everyone's surprise he brought up every one 18 and under to sing trees with him. He brought around the microphone and all the kids sang. Dino even let the kids play his bass and he showed them the right notes. He even helped him play the solo. I can wait until there's a new singer out there and their asked how did you start singing and they reply " well when i was younger i was at a lovehammers show and i got to go on stage and sing trees and since then i knew that was what i wanted to do " i have a video of it, but i have no idea how to show it. but if you know how and want to see it feel free to ask me.
