Outlet: KSDK-TV Morning News (NBC Affiliate)
Date: July 27, 2006
Location: 1000 Market St. - St. Louis
Details: Performance would be out on their plaza, which is similar to what the Today show has but smaller. They feature it throughout their 6-7am hour.
We need to get the word out on this to as many people as possible so that they can show up! We need a crowd there.
We need people there w/banners & flyers, & tons of ST stuff. Who can be there?

I would love to go, but I am too far away (1.5 hours) and I have to work. Uh, the best way to do a banner is probably with solid color sheets and spray paint unless you have time to do something professional. I doubt that though. Most printers need more than a week. This is too cool!!! So early in the morning, it's too bad someone couldn't bring cookies in a heart shape with the LH initials on them to hand out to the crowd. Maybe some bakery could give you a deal. I'm going to tell all my STL friends about it and hopefully some will show up.

If anyone can be there, drag a ton of friends with you! I know it's early in the morning, but bribe them! The guys would be so happy and surprised if we had a huge crowd there.

This is FABULOUS!!!! I will be there!! I'm thinking maybe we can organize something the night before to get some ST stuff together!! CJ and I have a private practice together in Maryville. It's actually a house, so has a kitchen and we have lots of room to do whatever we need to. What do you think?? Nancy, when are you and the kids getting into town??

Wow, I'm sitting here laughing at myself because this all seems so normal to me--getting up early, driving to the TV station, etc., etc. I told a family member about it, and I got a definite tone of voice that said "oh my god, this is ridiculous" (and not in a good way). And I said to her, "You know, I'm having fun. What is wrong with that? God knows, I'm not having that much fun with anything else in my life. What is it hurting?" She couldn't really argue with that, but then again, I could tell in her tone of voice that she thinks it's stupid. This is one of the people I'm bringing with me to the concert. I also had a ticket for her daughter, who is the same age as my daughter (who is going), and I thought they'd have fun together. But she said her daughter doesn't have any interest in going because she wasn't impressed with the CD (which I bought for them). I said, "Oh, that's OK, I just needed to know so I could give the ticket to someone else." I really felt like telling her she doesn't have to go either. I mean, I don't want to force her!!
Anyway, I just wanted to say again that for whoever wants to, mine and CJ's place in Maryville (a short 15 interstate miles from the TV station) can be Hammer HQ for Wed/Thur. It's a house with a kitchen, basement, lots of room, couches, and blow-up beds, bathroom, shower! We can put together ST stuff, we can sleep there and drive in to the station Thurs a.m.--whatever!! We just want to offer!!
This truly sucks, but I have to be in Peoria, IL (about a 3 + hour drive) on Friday morning for work!!! I can't believe it!! I had the same situation with Mokena. Thank god the Blue Note concert in Columbia, MO is on a Saturday! Hopefully there will be no work conflicts!!

Oh Good Lord Linda, I'm glad your ok...I've heard of that storm all day, several people actually got killed, tragic storm....St. Louis in many parts is still without power. I know come next Thursday, the Lovehammers will be like a breathe of that "fresh" air, that every great city, or town, or village needs after such tragic events like that storm....And we are going to be there to help breathe those "fresh" breathes to every person that I bump into.... I'll PM you about that time that we'll be in town. Looking forward to seeing ya again, BRING COFFEE..... This is so EXCITING...Ok, sorry, but another WOOOOHOOOO....Sorry, can't contain myself....Later..>Nancy

Nancy I'm looking forward to meeting you too. There's not many things that will get me out of bed at 4:30 am but I wouldn't miss this for anything. I'm trying to convince people to come with me but not much luck so far.

Just wanted to let everyone know that it looks like you have to have tickets to get into the area where they do the show. On the ksdk website it said that the window area is generally reserved for non for profit organizations, school groups or people with special birthday or anniversary messages. This is what I found. I did call the number but we'll see if anyone calls back.
If you or your group would like to visit our window during Today in St. Louis, please call our hotline at 314-444-5129. This number is a recording and on that line, you may leave a list of dates during which it would be convenient to come. You or your group will receive a return phone call to book a date. We ask our groups to be in place at 5:50 a.m. You should be prepared to stay until 7:10 a.m
Someone told me that Thursday is Billy's birthday. If we all hold Happy Birthday Billy signs maybe we'll qualify. LOL!
