Wouldn't they (the TV station) want a squeeing crowd out there cheering on the band?? Wish I watched the program, but I'm always on my way to work at this time. I'll try to watch this week though. I was thinking we would hold up Happy Birthday signs anyway, but also some "Welcome to St. Louis" signs, and some other obnoxious LH stuff. It would really suck if we couldn't get "in" or get close!!  Do you think there is anything the band could do about it? However, assuming we can get in, CJ and I are still planning on doing ST organizing at our office in Maryville (IL) on Wednesday evening. We can hang out, play RSINXS videos, LH music, eat, drink, make posters, pool ST items, etc., etc. I'm planning on going to the TV station on Thursday morning, but I do have to work part of Thursday, so will be leaving after the festivities at KSDK. Well, I watched the show this morning, and while they didn't have a "performance" during the 6 a.m. hour today, they did do the weather from the plaza, and there were about 3 groups there that were introduced--all not-for-profit groups that got about 30 seconds each. It all looks very controlled. So, I'm not sure how this will work--maybe the band automatically gets a group? Hopefully, these are questions that Stephanie333 can get answered if/when KSDK calls her back. If not, one of us needs to call the station at a different number and find out, or maybe someone actually representing the band can find out.

Linda, I also found an email address for specifically for the morning show it is todayinstlouis@ksdk.com - I sent them an email as well. I will let you know if I hear anything.

I actually just got a call back from ksdk and they said that their window groups were full for the day but they had received another call about this so they were going to check with the producer. Then I asked her if we were not able to be one of the groups shown on tv could we at least come down and watch the performance. They said yes, so they put us down. She asked how many of us there would be and I told that I really didn't know but I guessed maybe 15. I am bringing my kids, and I know Nancy and her kids wanted to be there and Linda and CJ so there is room for a few extra. If anyone else is planning to go and our group is going to be bigger we probably need to let them know. So as of now we can be there , we may or may not be shown on camera that hasn't been decided yet. I guess we need someone to come up with something to say and a volunteer to speak in case they do put us on. I think the window groups are given 30 seconds to say something about thier cause. Also, we need to be there by 5:50 am.

I'm pretty sure Taxe and her daughter are going to be there. Don't know if Scary will be. I thought there was someone else too that posted on the other board. You might see if they can let 25-30 of you all in.

I'm the person who started this and asked Ceeje to help spread the word. I was given the info by the band's publicist/mgmt.
I've talked to the coordinator of this at the TV station and she is supposed to be calling me back with more information. I'll keep y'all posted!

Thanks, Amy! I'm thinking there might be a few more than 15--hope so, anyway. I also heard from StephD, who said she might be coming, as well as Treebee. These are maybes, but still.....There might also be a couple more with my group, but I'm not sure about that. One thing, I SURE don't care if I'm shown on TV or not!!!  |

We will definitely be there!!! Thanks Amy for checking this all out for us!! Holy sh**!! This will be a long day for some of us! For those of us who can't make it to St. Louis, I just checked www.ksdk.com and it appears you will be able to see the broadcast live Thursday morning. Get up early tomorrow. Like I've been able to sleep for the past 3 days anyhow.....I'm there.... How lame is the cookies?...Cookies, coffee, and the Lovehammers....OH MY.....Linda says to bring the cookies, Natasha says to leave them, Daniel says he wants to eat them all, and Nicole says to bring them.....Democracy rules?..... Nancy definitely bring the cookies. Everyone needs a little sugar rush with their morning coffee. Tell Billy they are birthday cookies one day early. I'm sure the guys will need some sugary sweetness to get the day going.
