It's been at least a couple of months since this happened. I'm wondering if there are others who can't log onto the site and don't know that Mozilla will work, which is how I get on now. It happened at about the same time as the "More Smilies" update to the site. Hope someone can figure it out, since Explorer is probably how most people would try to access it.

I lock on with Firefox and have no problem. I've also used MS Exployer with no problem.

I can log in with both IE and Firefox. Never had any problems.
Do you have some odd cookie settings?

Hi Amy-- It's the only site I can't log onto with Explorer. I had been on the site the night before, then the site update took place to add the extra smilies and the next morning I couldn't log in. I am using version 6.0.2800.1106 of Explorer. This is what happens: I click on the message boards link, then click login, then type my username and password and the little Runtime Error box pops up saying. Line 886 'postBox.value' is null or not an object On Mozilla, I log right in with no problems.

Ok, I clicked on the debugger and this is the section where it shows the error. It is not too much further down than the numbered list of smilies. // show smilies in posts function showSmilies() { var posting = document.getElementsByTagName('input'); for(p=0; p<posting.length; p++) { if(posting .type=='submit') { posting .onmousedown=function() { post=postBox.value; for(t=0; t<smCode.length; t++) { post = post.replace(new RegExp(smCode[t],"g"),'[img src="'+smilie[t]+'"]'); } postBox.value = post; } } } } showSmilies();

Sorry Amy. I don't know anything about the smilies code. I have emailed Ceeje about this with a support forum post on proboards about it.

Thanks Cindy.. I know I'd asked you about this when I first couldn't get on the message boards and panicked. When I decided to try Mozilla Firefox, it worked, so I just let the issue sit on the back burner.... When I tried Explorer again several days ago, the message boards login still had the bug, and I wondered if the problem could be keeping people off that used to be here, because how could they post their problem if they couldn't get on the boards? It's a puzzle for sure... hope you, Amy and Ceeje find the answer!
