Ok.....HERE ARE THE STEPS if you haven't read them yet! Let's jump on this quickly ladies and gents.....This is an IMPORTANT campaign, and very very much needed for our Troops!

SHOEBOX OF LOVEHAMMERS LOVE

STEP ONE:

Get an empty shoebox.

1. The U.S. Postal Service offers FREE BOXES for Priority Mail. You can also order free boxes from the USPS online store (for use with Priority Mail shipping only). The RECOMMENDED SIZE is the #4 or #7 box. Or call 1-800-222-1811.

2. Go to your local VFW. They are giving these SHOEBOXES away for free!

3. Go to your local church. Many churches are contributing to this effort if you do not have a local VFW in your town.

STEP TWO:

FILL IT:

This is a list of "approved" items to put in the SHOEBOX OF LOVEHAMMERS LOVE.

CANDY:

Post Cards are also great to send in the packages. You can pre-address the postcards to yourself or your organization (THE LOVEHAMMERS) with a note asking the service member to please let you know if they received the package.
You do NOT have to put a stamp on the post cards. The service member can mail them for free back to the states.

This campaign for Shoebox of Lovehammers Love, must contain ONE CD.

Please do not expect or require a reply from a soldier. Many times these men and women have other things on their minds. Your best chance to receive a response from the soldier who receives your box is to include a self-addressed stamped envelope with writing paper inside your box. This will make it easier for the soldier to send you a note.

(OPTIONAL)

Decorate it Lovehammers Style.

1. Get a crayon, marker, small paint brush, pen, pencil.

2. Decorate the INSIDE of the box lid, or inside of the box with Lovehammers Logo's, lyrics, or just whatever!

(RECOMMENDED)

Wrap items well when packing soap/toiletries in the same package as food items. In warm weather, it's best not to include these in the same packages!

1. Send it to me by February 25th. Please allow at least 4 to 5 days for delivery time. So, by February 21st the boxes should be sent!

Go ahead and look around you at this very minute! What do you see? A computer? Pictures on your walls? A car in the driveway? Your kids outside playing? Your dogs running around? Your mailman delivering your mail? Cars honking? People jogging on the sidewalk? LIFE is what you are seeing at this exact moment! Your LIFE is what is being protected, served, made safe, so that yes your car can sit safely in that driveway while your kids play in the front lawn. LIFE is being LOST, KILLED, and seriously injured at this exact moment! People are dying for you, for me, for all of us. I'm doing it now, for my fellow American over there fighting, protecting, and serving this country! Damn, I should run for office!.....

Each Shoebox that is sent to me, NEEDS a LOVEHAMMERS CD in it. OK, that's 15 bucks. Can you add a toothbrush and toothpaste, another 5 bucks. Can you add notebook paper and a pen, another 3 bucks. Can you add a note of thanks for protecting my family note, FREE OF CHARGE. Can you add a box of throat lozenges, another 2 bucks. OK, we have now spent 25 American dollars for this support! Is that much for your life? For your safety? For your support of these men and women that is serving YOU at this exact moment IN WAR. Not much!

Pictures will be taken of all the shoeboxes that are sent to me. My local VFW has alerted the MEDIA, they will be there to do a report on the SHOEBOX OF LOVEHAMMERS LOVE campaign. I'm expecting, I'm wanting hundreds and hundreds of boxes to give away that day! I'm wanting to WOW the media, to SHOW this moment of support that US FANS, friends, family, schools, can and WILL do for our troops and our band the LOVEHAMMERS, and our COUNTRY. I think I answered your question just now on the phone but I'll answer it here too for everyone to see.

Yes. And No.

The "recommended" size of the shoebox should be a #4 or #7 size box. You get these boxes free from the Post Office, or at your local VFW. (Step One)

For this campaign, I'd like it to remain these size boxes if possible. If you have more than one box that you want to send, or special circumstances that you want to contribute, please PM me here or at LHstore.com. Nancy - this idea is genius!! Wonderful for our troops and great promo for the guys!! Whoo Hooo for you. I would put in some cheerleaders but for some reason I have no smilies. I''m really looking forward (1-10-07) TO STARTING MY SHOEBOX ASSEMBLY. I llove to buy presents for people, this is right up my alley - and I'm very thrifty so think I can do two shoeboxes.

You can make as many shoeboxes as you want! Make one this week, one next week. We ALSO have an Empty Box sitting there. Sort of like a community hat. This Empty Box is for CASH DONATIONS only. In doing this, people want to contribute more to this idea, this program by giving that extra cash that is laying around. Can't make 400 boxes by February 21st, then send in the money, I can!

I AM requesting that all shoeboxes be sent to me by February 21st! On February 25th, the VFW and I are having us a party! I bet they have good snacks there huh?
