8pm according to Marty's myspace page. Don't know if that includes an opening band or not....I will try to call Monday if I can.

I'm trying to find info on this too. The number listed on his myspace is not correct. I called information to get the right number but no one answers and it goes to an answering machine that is full. There are two myspaces for Marly's, no one has logged into one since June but the other one looks active so I sent them a message. I'll let you know if I hear anything. Really hoping that this is still happening!!

Thanks Cindy! I did get a message back tonight. They said they open at 4pm and bands usually start between 9 & 10 but that is up to the artist. They also said that they thought he was the only one playing. See you girls there!

Very weird coincidence, but I'll be in Springfield tomorrow for a meeting. My only drawback is I have an all-day presentation back in Belleville on Friday--an hour-and-a-half drive home. Do I want to dead-tired with bags under my eyes in front of a whole room full of people? Then again, I haven't seen Marty or any of you guys since Hammercruise!!

It does sound like a blast. I would love for my co-worker to join me, but I wouldn't mind going alone if she won't. I'm going to call her now and let her think about it. I'll let you guys know later. Also, I have to get to work finalizing this presentation or I won't have much of a choice--I'll have to be able to do it in my sleep!!   |

I already wrote this and it disappeared, but I'll do it again. The show was great, as usual! I was already in S'field for a meeting for the day, so there was no way I wasn't going. Turns out Stephanie333 and Susie were going and invited me to stay with them, so I took them up on it. I will definitely hate myself in the morning, as it is 3 a.m. and I have a 90 min. drive to work and need to be there a 8 a.m.!! We got there early and nabbed the seats at the bar closest to the stage. We were also joined by StephD. NancyBBE and her husband were there as well and I really enjoyed talking to her for quite a while! Sitting next to us was a young woman named Erin, her husband and a female friend. Erin was a complete HOOT, and I wish we had thought to give the web address. She is a nurse at one of the S'field hospitals. She said she has been a fan of Marty's since Rockstar INXS, however she did not know anything about his career since then. She was THRILLED to learn he was playing in town!! I do have some pics and video, which I'll try to post--not sure it's any good--but fortunately it DOES NOT include one of my trademark clutz moves!! Somehow, I got coerced onto the stage while Marty was singing trees, which was fine. However, when exiting the stage, I fell from grace onto the floor!! It's bad! :   I have a huge lump on my forehead, one bloody knee, and one bruised knee!! Tomorrow, I'm responsible for an inservice at my agency in which I have to present information for an hour and a half. I'll have to get up at 5 a.m. and drive 90 min to work. What a freaking nightmare!! The presentation is on child and adolescent mental health disorders, and I'll look like a poster child for domestic violence!!  |
