Overall, I still don't think this year compares to last year. I agree. Just out of curiosity...how many of you are voting this year?

I’m not voting either...which is why I’m really surprised to hear that they have been getting a record number of votes over the past few weeks. Maybe it’s because the voting window is open for longer this year. It wasn’t 4 hours last year, was it?

I usually vote. But not last night. I was too tired. I suppose when it gets down to the finals I'll be more inspired. Right now, I just cast a few votes for those that don't majorly suck. Dilana, Toby, Storm, Magni and Phil gets most of my votes. I can't see hours voting like last year. Just not the same.........

I have to admit, I'm not voting this year either. I thought Dilana's version of Time After Time was excellent! I think I'm rooting for her to win right now. Dana has also gotten alot better. Toby is so cute and he is not so bad. Storm was very good too! I really disliked Zayra's performance. I think shes going home tonight. And what was up with her outfit??? LOL

Hey Pdhva, Dilana is a beautiful person. If I had to pick a roomate out of one of them I'd pick her. She seems so sweet and straight forward. As far as the Rolling Stones, didn't Paul say that Gilby was one of the biggest RS fan on the planet. That might be why they play so much of it. Damn those girls are so good! I'm a closet head banger and I don't believe I've ever completely rocked out with a chick like I did with Storm during tonight's encore! Except maybe when last year when Marty sang "I alone" and the subsequent "Don't change" for INXS... awesome...

What an idiot! The worst part is that he didn't even have to audition (as it says in the article). Unfortunately, he got exposure. Everyone knows how AWFUL he is.... good for Supernova canning him before he got any more "exposure" on their dime...

Yeah, not only is Phil talentless, he's stupid, too. As last year's contestants were told before the Meet the Press clinic, everything you say may show up in print, so watch your mouth!

Well, I don't know if I'd be quite that harsh on Phil. Certainly that interview was not the smartest move, for sure. He was too blatant about his motivations. But realistically, there can be only one winner, so gaining national and international exposure has to be a huge, driving force for all of them and one of the biggest, if not the biggest, reason to go on the show.
Plus, I think this year is different from last year for a number of reasons. I won't go into them all, but one very glaring difference is that Supernova, as a band, has no history. The people who got on the show didn't really know what the band was going to sound like before they were selected. It's actually not that hard for me to believe that the people on the show were excited about the idea of playing with icons like Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted and Gilby Clarke, but then were disappointed with the music when they actually heard the direction those guys wanted to go in. It's possible Phil realized he wouldn't be happy with that kind of music once he realized what it was going to be and he consciously or subconsciously sabotaged himself.
Obviously, I don't know though. Just thinking out loud.

Phil's exit interview has changed. It no longer references the article that got him in trouble.

I am also a Phil fan..........I'm not certain if he'll reap the benefits of his exposure but i do like the fact that he was honest with his comments and I admire his loyalty to his bandmates.
I still can't believe they let him go over Zayra and I think if it was anyone but Phil in the bottom three.........she would be gone.........(at least I hope so)............
Some of you may not be too happy with the show but you have to admit............the drama keeps you watching and interested........
And the performances are getting better...........Dilana really impressed me...........I'd say she 'pulled a Marty' with her version of Time after Time.............

Stil - you're definitely right the drama keeps you coming back. I'd almost made up my mind I wasn't going to follow it this time around, but they are keeping the fur flying...and no one would watch if everyone got along and did nothing but kumbaya'd (is that a verb now? ;D) the whole 12 weeks.... The performances are getting more "roit" for SN - hopefully they're trying to listen to the loud and clear performance comments. SN may have to have a "2 fer" week to let 2 at a time go. This could have been one of those weeks - Phil and Zayra. But maybe Josh, too... just can't see him fronting this particular band. I still stand by what I said in my Roxy review 2 weeks ago. They ALL saw MCLH and how any of them can just stand still and sing with literally no emotion after seeing how Marty and the guys tore the house down - is waaay beyond me. Marty may be better suited to SN than INXS, but BEST suited for the Lovehammers. He will always be one of a kind - quite obviously they threw away the mold after him...
