I'm glad someone is sticking up for Marty over on the SN boards. I haven't been over there, but any anti-Marty comment would have sent me over the top!! Do those people not know he's on tour? Jerks! As far as creep goes, Radiohead is one of my favorite bands so I was a bit nervous when Marty tackled it. No one, NO ONE, could have done it better. I've heard others try, but they bombed! I love Magni, but he bombed; Lukas was eh. ..so so. . . Yup, Vicki had said earlier about retiring the song. I agree. It's been done perfectly twice - let it go!

This is the first time I have responded to any songs from either RS show. I personally don't like Lukas - he makes my skin crawl. But no one can hold a candle to Marty's Creep. Magni did a respectable job of the song. But when Lukas sang it - almost ruined the song for me. I had to listen to MC to get the other versions cleared out of my head.

Personally, I think that Radiohead did "Creep" best. Just saying.

Personally, I think that Radiohead did "Creep" best. Just saying. THANK YOU! I have been waiting for SOMEONE to say that for a long bloody time! When it all boils down to it, no one, but no one can do the song better than the original singer. It may not sound the best to the listener's ears, but that doesn't f**king matter. What really matters is that it follows the songwriter's true intentions, in which case, comparing Marty, Lukas, or Magni to Thom Yorke is like comparing apples to oranges. It's not proper or right.

I said earlier, " Since I didn't see Radiohead play Creep LIVE, I'm going out on a limb to say that I liked Marty's rendition over the Pablo Honey CD release... Sorry if this sounds disrespectful to the Radiohead fans!!!!" Sorry FlyintoOblivion, Ayesa and other Radiohead FANS, I STAND corrected! Someone from RS:SN referred me to the YouTUBE link to see Thom Yorke and Radiohead perform CREEP LIVE at various concerts and no one will ever match their intensity, pain, awkwardness and raw power and emotion (as if Thom was reliving the moment) as it was originally intended... Thanks however to Marty for re-introducing this song to me and leading me back to the original!
