I think everyone liked Zayra because she didn't get to screw up someone else's song. This was by far her best performance because she isn't a rock singer and isn't right for Supernova. I hated her hair extensions and her outfit. I agree that Zayra didn't sound bad last night, but I'm really getting tired of her trying to out-do herself with each consecutive crazy outfit. This week she looked like one of those cakes with the doll rammed into the middle.

I have been liking Dilana, but last night she started getting to me. I like her voice but now I wonder if I could listen to her sing song after song after song.
Her attitude is starting to grate on me all of a sudden too. She getting a bit too cocky with her comments. Anybody else notice the attitude build up or is it just me?

Has anybody else here been playing the Rock Star Go Home game? Is it not working today?

I thought it was cool when they mentioned Marty as well.
Ryan's done a great job for the past three weeks, although the pressure seems to be showing on his face. He looks like one big nerve ending, ready to SNAP!!!!! LOL. Members of Supernova asked him in the past if he was enjoying the experience at all. So, obviously, they've noticed it too. He needs to loosen up or this could be his downfall.
Lucas really puts on a great performance, although he tends to pick songs that are alternative, dark and melancholy. Not sure if this is Supernova’s style.
Magni's been doing great. I think he has a very good chance.
Storm had one bad week. She should be around for a while.
I think Dilana is going to win it. She's a straightforward rocker with a great voice and stage presence. We've only heard short tracks of Supernova's music, but I really believe that her style would fit best for Supernova.
If a guy wins again this season, female singers may be less inclined to tryout next year. Rockstar may have a problem finding good female talent.

I agree with you on both counts. Her voice is powerful and she has great range, but it only has one "texture." It seems to me that they are all getting cockier. Unlike last year, when I genuinely liked Mig, Jordis, and Deanna as people (and of course, Marty! Otherwise, I wouldn't be hanging out here), I haven't really warmed up to anyone in this group, both in terms of their talent and their personality.

haha. I said last night that there seems to be some relationship between Brook and Zayra's wardrobes. The less Z wears the more Brooke does. My daughter suggested that there is only enough fabric for one dress and they need to share it between them.
pregnant? hmmmm that would be inconvenient since she just split with hubby....

There isn't one of them this season that I like 100%. It's like picking the best of the worst.
Zayra - By singing in Spanish she has now assured me she is there only to showcase herself
Toby - Like him, but he doesn't seem real secure about himself
Magni - I think I like him best, but he needs to UP his stage presence
Ryan - Too serious, and I think he strains his voice sometimes like Lukas. And he always looks pained for some reason.
Dilana - I don't care for her voice - Just my own personal taste I guess
Patrice - Her voice is OK, smiles too much and not too engaging
Storm - Her performances mostly seem contrived
Lukas - I DON'T care for his voice

That was definately an interesting show last night! I was not very thrilled with the performances... Magni - BLAH! I'm sorry but he does nothing for me. Sure, he can sing. I will give him that. But he really bores me when he's on stage. I want to see him ROCK man. Ryan - Wow! I was really, really impressed with his performance last night. I thought his was the best performance of the evening. Personally, I think he sang the song better than the original version. I got chills while listening to him. He was great. Toby - Voice sounded amazing, as always. And he looked cute as ever hehe. I really love his eyebrow ring... sorry.... I'm getting off topic. Anywho, I thought his performance was pretty good. I liked the drum thing he did. That was really fun. But the performance was not a "wow" performance for me. Dilana - Yup, shes definately got alot of talent. I am not crazy about her but I do think she is an amazing performer. Last night, when SN said her performance was the best one of the night... I thought that was wrong... I personally thought Ryan's was! But she will definately be in the top 3. Patrice - Go home already... yes, I know, I'm harsh. But ya know... I really don't like her singing. Zayra - No comment.... Storm - I think SN was being a little harsh when they pretty much said she sucked last night. What was she supposed to do with that STUPID song they gave her to sing? Why would SN even pick that song for one of the rockers to sing.... I think it's a really horrible song. I think she did an "okay" job. And Lukas - I'm just not a fan of his. Don't like his singing.

• If Dilana sounded more like Stevie Nicks, I would like her no matter what she looked like. I don't enjoy listening to her, though.
• Josh was the only one that made me smile when I watched.
• I think Magni is the best fit for the band.
• I would go see Josh, Phil or Toby if they came to town.

I am finally relieved that Zayira is gone but I feel for her somewhat, I mean she is a hispanic chica trying to make it in an American Rocker band. Thats just not heard of in ol' USA . More power to her and her endevours. I think that theres been a lot of hoopla about people sounding the same every week. SO WHAT! Thats why we listen to who we like on the radio and our CD's they always have the sound we have grown to love and know Whether it be Marty Casey, Janis Joplin, Mariah Carey or MnM. Thats okay to sound like yourself over and over. If Marty started sounding like Barry Manilow to "shake things up" he would be yesterdays news, right? so give the Rockers a break. Tonight Magni gave me an "AH Ha" moment. I finally see whats missing from this years Rockstar. Its Passion!! Marty made you believe what he was singing was for real for him, he wasn't just performing. It was as if he had a person and face in mind for every song!! Tonight I got the chills from Magni's Creep rendition cause he so felt it and it came in as my second performance after Marty's for the best version. You may not agree but thats cool, I can handle it 1000% percent Storm has inspired me to toughen up :-) I look forward to the weeks left I know that they will be awesome as they get chances to perform with the Band. INXS should've done the same thing and then we know whose records we'd all be buying right? love and Peace

I am kinda surprised they kept Patrice around. Z should have been gone in week 2, but after so many weeks of her weirdness, screeching, and odd song choices, it got kind of amusing to see her. Patrice hasn't been amusing or entertaining yet.
BTW, I really liked Magni's Creep, (better than Lukas', sorry, Amy.) but I really don't understand this arrangement that has now been performed 3x. One verse and then launch into She Runnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. There's no emotional build up.
Have begun re-watching RS:INXS to remember why I cared so much last year. Contestants who were entertaining and nice to each other, lots more Dave in the reality show and performance show, INXS treating the contestants with respect and kindness. That was must-see TV.

Am I the only one who thinks Brooke should be wearing an eye patch and have a parrot on her shoulder? ;D Arrrrgh! I was thinking that too. ;D What did ya'll think of the Supernova song? It seemed a bit dated to me and the dancing girls were an odd addition. Dilana held her own but it just felt uncomfortable to watch her in all that mess. I wonder how many times they did it because it looked pieced together or something. I'm glad they offed Z and hope next week it's Patrice, she just seems to be done with it all. I loved Magni's Creep! It was emotional and you could feel it from him. Finally some passion. Funny thing, when he got up to sing and we saw his tree shirt the Mister yells "He's gonna sing Trees!" I was rolling on the floor laughing! Could you imagine someone doing Marty's song on that show?

Remember last year when INXS did their first song Us (aka Ass by all the fans!)... well, we weren't too fond of it either. That SN song last night was completley unmemorable...I couldn't today tell you one thing about it except they had some bizarre dancing girls running all around...

You are probably right, Cindy. Supernova doesn't want to introduce it's first single until they know who will be singing it. I'm sure there are better songs to come - or at least I hope. Ryan rocks!

Here are my thoughts on last night's show: Oh WAIT A MINUTE. I was STUCK ON THE TRAIN FOR TWO HOURS AND MISSED IT. How could I forget? Well, I did have a very nice someone keeping me company on the phone who put the show on and told me what I was missing.

So was the title of the new song "Been There, Done That"? After all the buildup, that was the new sound? Big f'ing deal.
It sounded like Rolling Stones wannabes to me. The dancing girls were gratuitous fluff, which was also ironic after Gilby said he didn't like Jill's bump and grind. This was mediocre rock and roll, Las Vegas style. And I think Dilana got lost in all the theatrics.
