Ok.... Rockstar Supernova has just updated their website.... www.intothesupernova.com/And I have to say as a web designer/owner of a web design firm: that site kicks serious ass! What a cool friggin site! Wonder how it works for folks on dial up though?? I love it! WOW! It looks incredible! And how sexy was Lukas' voice? My housemate said, "Now I'm glad you convinced me to go with you to Portland."

Updates on RS SN world: 1) you can hear full songs from CD here entertainment1.sympatico.msn.ca/Music/Artists/Articles/rockstarsupernovaI likey the CAN'T BRING MYSELF TO LIGHT THIS FUSE song a whole whole whole lot! Valentine is cool too. Of course we had already heard Its All Love, Be Yourself and Headspin. The first time I heard this version of Headsping I wasn't as excited by it as I wanted to be as I thought the production took away for the the raw edgy emotional quality of the song. But now after listening carefully to it several times... I think it is growing on me. 2) Billboard review really liked our man Lukas....not so kind to the rest of the band or some of the songs. All and all not a stinker review...but could have certainly been better. They really seemed to be impressed with Lukas's vocals though: billboard.com/bbcom/reviews/album_review_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=10034092943) Some fans have already started receiving their pre-ordered CD's I got a notice that mine had shipped Friday...so I expect to have it Monday....

I think there are alot of good songs on this CD including CBMTLTF. As for the review, I never really let that influence my thoughts on any CD.

Hey guys...I got my RS:SN CD today. It arrived with the mail. I couldn't play it until I got home...but since I had been able to hear all the songs through the preview last ... I knew what was waiting. But yeah!! I am a happy Rossi Posse member tonight.

Got mine today too! I have to listen to it a few more times to truely judge, but my intitial judgement stands true. Lukas is better off with his own band/s. I hope his stint with Supernova is short and sweet and he can go back to his original band/s and really shine. He seems really confined here. Just like if Marty had won INXS!! I don't disllike Supernova, it's just that they seem stuck in MELLOW and in the 80's. I was truly hoping for sometning more "dirty" like they kept talking about!!! It's just too tame! But okay. I am glad I got tickets though, because Lukas ROCKS!!

Hey Lukas Fans
Kimberly 87, Jodieca and I went to the Jimmy Kimmel taping last night.
RS Supernova performed an outdoor concert. It was great. Jodie and K87 are the Lukas fans of our group (I was the lone Toby fan - hee hee) but I really enjoyed the show. It was sad not to see Jason up there, but the band seems to be working well together.
Lukas's stage performance was exciting and I loved it. At one point, he jumped up on the drum platform which rose up about 10 feet during the song. He looked so cute sitting there - I hope they show that part tonight.
I think the Jimmy Kimmel show airs at 11:30 tonight - check it out!

Yummy! Thanks 4reeds! I will be tuning into Kimmel tonight. Did anyone get any special moments with our sweet boy? What songs did they do?

Cindy, They performed: Be Yourself Leave the Lights On Its all Love Shine On There was rumor of an autograph signing but we had to dash over to the Troub to make it to the M & G with Juke Kartel Tommy Lee and Lukas did show up at the Troub later, but only stayed for a few songs of Juke Kartel I'm sure they would have gotten mobbed if they stayed around So, no special moments or pics. The more famous they become, the harded it gets

I saw that Amy. This is the US sales. But I also saw where they did really well in in Canada and ended up I think #3 on the charts there for the week. I will see if I can find those numbers too and maybe come up with a total for all sales.
Also, Dave Navarro has written about this and how it bodes badly for Epic artists:
"I just went to iTunes and noticed that there isn't even one comment up. Now, I have been complaining about the state of the music industry for a long time... About how major record labels don't stand behind their bands anymore but this is ridiculous. This is a new band that is full of platinum selling artists and the final winning singer from a high rated, network talent search summer series that cost millions to produce. CBS and MBP basically put together one of the most expensive ramp ups in album release history and so far, I haven't seen a single add or alert about this album. Now, the band will be fine. They are going out on a huge tour and will gain plenty of momentum I am sure. My point is, if this is the way Epic is going to treat these guys, how do we expect any major to really get behind a band that is new, fresh and totally unknown?"
Me thinks he might have a point. Sad to say.

I agree Cindy. It's so mind-boggling how these record labels operate . Not Lukas related but Chris Daughtry's new release is #2 on Billboard and my rock station here is playing alot of it. His record label is RCA.

Rockfan,
And that CD to me does not have a hook or distinctive single at all. The mind does boggle! None of the Rock star folks have come close to generating the attention or sales that these American Idol amateurs do. Go figure! It's depressing. What is wrong with the general public?

Wake up people, lol. I listened to the sample tracks of his (Chris's) CD and none of them excited me. But Marty and Lukas sure do. It's so unfair.

I do not think it is the general public, I think it is the record labels. I have seen more of Kelly Pickller in the past couple of months than one could ever imagine. And Chris Daughtery was on Good Morning America this week. The PR machine is running full tilt for these AI guys. EPIC does not seem to do alot of investment in their artists. They need to show up on TV, not red carpets.
I gave the MCLH CD to my 13 year old niece and she loved it but wanted to know why the band was invisible. Good question.

I hope this isn't going too "off topic", but also, the American Idol contestants quite often get a bit of press in the UK, I've had to search for anything on both series of RS. I don't understand it, people here moan that all the music is the same, but then when there's something a bit more real there is no promotion for it.

I can only echo what has already been said, and quite strongly by Mr. Navarro. It is very sad to watch. I too was shocked to see all the Daughtry promotion, reviews in People magazine, Tv appearances....I heard the CD the other day and---> Frustrating frustrating frustrating. And very very sad.
