He reminds me of Bowie as well. That's who my walls were covered with as a teenager. My taste hasn't changed much. But there are others that come to mind Iggy Pop, Nick Cave, Eddie Vedder, Peter Murphy. No one person is a close fit. He is an original but, the people he periodically reminds me of are people I really like.

I agree with the looks of Tom Petty and David Bowie, but his eyes, cheekbones, STRONG jawline and his vocals make him unique. You've definitely got IT Marty!

Marty reminds me of this ULTRA-FABULOUS performer that I had watched over and over again this summer on television. This person was sooo unique, so intense, that I had never experienced anything like it before, He was definately a one-of-a-kind entertainer. Anybody know his name? he was on RockStar/INXS???

I have to agree with stiletto. I think he's not comparable to any because he's so unique. I can see why all the others remind you of him but he's really in a class all his own. Still love to watch "Creep" video because he does own the room and everyone in it! |

Marty Casey is unique. He puts all his energy into everything he does. I just can't seem to get enough of him. Can't wait to see him in concert.

I agree that Marty does have similar characteristics to all those guys everyone mentioned, but for me Marty doesn’t remind me of a particular person----instead he represents all those awesome tall, slender, long (mostly blonde) haired, extremely talented guy Rockers of the 80’s (but Marty brings it all into the 2000’s….. up-to-date and HOT). As far as his voice, it is one of a kind. In carpentary there is a saying 'Nail It!'  Totaly agree with statement of Marty represents of all those Awesome tall, slender, long haired extremely talented Rockers. 2000's Hot, one of a kind Excited to be witness of Marty's RockStardom |

I do not feel the need to compare Marty to anyone...... Marty Xavier Casey (MXC) is an anomaly.....he leaves his audience on the edge of their seats......craning their necks to see him perform.......he mesmerizes his audience with his voice and his stage presence.......he ""IS"" the song he performs........and that is so rare...........it's a gift that he has always had but we are just beginning to catch glimpses of....... I had my mother-in-law watch Martys videos and she thought he looked like David Bowie singing creep and also thought he looked like Lucius Malfoy from Harry Potter /COS.

I see the David Bowie thing too. I've been a Bowie fan since I was a kid. He also reminds me of a much younger Julian Sands. (Who was in a movie called "Warlock", I think -- no offense to anyone.)
P.S. Julian Sands was Anne Rice's first choice to play Lestat in "Interview with a Vampire".

Marty has the unique quirkiness that is Bowie and Iggy pop ( my two faves) . HE has that individualistic quality that sets him apart from the rest. He's extrovert and yet introvert at the same time. He seems wild and untamed and disinplined in what he does all at once.
He has a touch of Kurt Cobain in his style but above all he has the style of Marty. He has the ability to be aloof and alluring at the same time. He is so appealing with his contradictory personality and that will be what keeps us all so interested in him.
I just love his voice and his dazzling eyes as he sings. What a talent he is.
