I think it is important that the band be on the cover..........just the band.........no instruments......... The album would sell more copies if they were on the cover.......... I think you'd agree.....right girls!? I agree with you, stiletto-man ;D — the guys should be on the cover. (I see the instruments issue differently, but overall we're in the same chapter if not on the same page!) Here's what I wrote when I submitted my first title/cover-art idea: ... even though it's not a live album, maybe a stylized treatment of an especially powerful performance photo. Why? My gut tells me the band's live energy is what's sure to set LH miles apart from the rest. People will love LH music when the band tours with INXS, but experiencing LH music at the shows will be what really burns Lovehammers into their brains — fans and media alike. A cover that subtly evokes a live experience could link the music itself to the band's outstanding performance "personality" in the minds of the buying public. That's my 2 cents, anyway. So, tell me why you cast your vote for no instruments. I'm interested!

Well this suck's! I tried to send in my ideas for a cover and title but when I clicked on send it wouldnt let me. Says I have to subscribe to outlook express since I have hotmail. I was gonna do it when I got back from picking up my son from basketball practice but (sigh) it's to late! Well Im gonna go ahead and tell you what my idea was anyways.
Since the Lovehammers are from Chicago, The "Windy City" and their becoming more well known to new fans worldwide thank's to Rockstar INXS.Things are moving at a fast pace for them. Their gathering strength as a band, their on a whirlwind, and their in the eye of the storm right now. This also describes the wind. It caresses you, you feel it, you can hear it, you can see it. It surrounds you. Just like Lovehammer's music.
It would be nice to see the band on the cover in the forground, outside, with the wind blowing all around them (at night of course) with the skylights of the windy city (Chicago) in the background. Simple but it relates to their true background. My title would be "Perpetual Motion". Relating to the wind and the Lovehammers . Another title was "Whirlwind".
I had another idea to but will save that for later.

I like that one too, Penny.
I only came up with one -- Overcome. It just really resonated with me on many levels. -- What the band has overcome to get where they are; what the mind has to overcome to create great music; how fans feel when they listen to LH music -- Overcome.
I like the idea of a live shot of the band. I've never seen them live, but just seeing photos and video clips of them in action is intoxicating. They are so energetic and raw. I think the album cover photo should convey that kind of energy.
P.S. I also like 'Suck It. Spit It Out.' -- my favourite line from "Over and Out". I think they'd work together or separately. That idea would probably be more appropriate for an independent album, though. I doubt they'd go with something like that now that they have a record label.

I wanted to see them all on the front cover as well, in a performance shot. And the Lovehammers are ALL about the Energy . . . heck, I'M all about their Energy ;D And also . . . I think some of the suggestions people have sent in are just fabulous . . . if the Lovehammers are seriously considering them then they are going to have some great stuff to work with. My own suggestion was "CHARGED" because that's what they are right now - they are hot and seriously electric and I get totally charged from them.

"Hiding in Plain Sight" is really good too. Oh man, everybody has such fantastic ideas! Y'know, I think they'll quite an ideas file to work from for their future albums! Stop at just one with a major label?! HAH!

Awwww.....I wanted to think up something spectacular to submit, but you guys have had some truly kickass ideas! (oops, washing mouth out with soap) Oh well, the [glow=red,2,300]Lovehammers[/glow] will just have to produce all the CDs to go with the titles.

Why no instruments..........no reason really...I just think the pic should be of the guys...nothing more.......I was thinking more of the pose I suppose...lol I would like the album to be jet black...with nothing more than the title above the pic of the guys.....nothing more.......just the guys..........posing for the ladies.........and I would like to see the band name in the bottom right in Lovehammer font..and color........ I would call the album 'HammerHead'.......just seems right to me since LH is asking all of us fans to play a part.......... Probably too corny....... Here is what I sent them as my explanation..... "The album concept needs to be simple....understated....powerful...and convey the control you guys have over your future.........."

Think JD might be compensating for something? You could put JD's face in the megaphone ...And then name the ablum "Suck it" Tooks IMHO not "Suck It" for the name of the album. Thinking it would be appropriate to call the album ELEBBEN!!! or maybe "Suck It Ellebben Times" ;D

Shiny black cover with Lh logo. Didn't give an explanation. Then I added comment of having a small Tree in green or white, on top of the L or in the h I was thinking about the time factor for getting the album cover together too Looking at all of the above suggestions makes this suggestion seem Lame though. Oh well just a suggestion ;D I do like "Hidden in Plain Sight"

OMG, Juliana how does one even begin to follow you...I have to pick myself up off the keyboard and regroup my brain cells everytime you post! I threw an idea out to Amy for the cover a couple days ago... FUSION (Cover art - montage - early band pic and now - maybe Metro.) Sort of 21st centuryish.....to show the evolution of the Hammers til now with some new (as in RS) Marty...not that there was a thing wrong with the "old" Marty, of course.
