I'm always curious about how people pick their screen names, so here's a thread to explain what yours means! Enjoy!

Mine is the line in a poem I wrote when I first started writing poems as a hobby. The subject was not fearing death, and it reminds me of how far I've come in my writing, and also as a person.

Okay I'll bite. My husband gave me the nickname Shucky when we started dating - started with him saying "oh, shucky darn" or something like that. Anyhow, I am all about keeping my chakras in tune, so Shuckra is a combo of Shucky and chakra, and I think it makes for a cool superhero name - NEVER FEAR, SHUCKRA IS HERE! Okay, next!

Mine isn't as obvious as it looks. (Jack) Ayesa is actually the name of a character from a novella I wrote a few years back. 86 is a reference to the phrase "86 'em" which roughly translates to "kill 'em". And that's about it. Sorry to disappoint everyone who thought it was a Miggy reference

I took my two nicknames from a couple of years ago and put them together plus I'm normally a very grumpy person and I use to wear a lot of t-shirts with Grumpy from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The pirate thing came about when Pirates of the Caribbean first came out and i was obsessed with it.

I'm so glad this thread got started! I've definitely been wondering about some you.
Isa - that's lovely.
When I registered here I thought I would at most make 50 posts in a year - lol. I was on another board for an actor/musician that I am a huge fan of and it took me 3 years to get about 150 posts.
So not thinking it was a big deal. I chose "radioclash" which is a reference to my favorite band of all time The Clash and one of their songs.
I like it and hate it at the same time. It is pretty memorable, but I dunno it sounds kind of impersonal.

I'm enjoying reading how others chose their screennames so much more creativity and thought than mine.
I was brain dead the day I decided to create one. So I used my initials--CJ and added the abbreviation for the city I live in. South Pasadena. Cjspas was born.
Then after about a week I realized that s.pas. became spas and I laughed because it looked like I was I was selling spa equipment or something. Oh well--it could have been worse.

This is great Fly, thanks for starting it! My name means an obsession with islands. In my case, the San Juan Islands of Washington state. It was a term from a great book I read several years ago.
