Hey girls - Jet, hiding out here sounds great, especially with that girt big red pillow! I'm thinking girt means something different here - we use it as a Bristolian phrase - things are gert 'uge - generally meaning large! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I'll try to find a link to the Bristolian dictionary - it should give some of you a giggle.

G'day gals, Hey Jet, fricken AWESOME job mate with those picces for LH Aussie myspace page, but you do need a Melbourne flavoured one, maybe at the 'G' at the footy? That would be noice ;D ;D Oh, Den, those voting days are back again, don't tell anyone but I now have 3 different alias' over at Rockbandlounge to sneak in a few extra MARTY votes No way that JD is gonn beat MARTY this time round. I have just voted and the standings are: Marty 64% JD 36% But it is very early yet, wish it was Aussie time, there would only be an hour left to vote I just love DRIVING BLIND and that filmclip they have over there at RBL is beautiful I play it over and over, Mick even yelled out, WHO IS THAT? That's a really good song! Well, of course I let him have it verbally, he should know by now which songs are Lovehammers, its not like they gather dust sitting on the CD rack at my place! OK, it's getting late, another bloody hot day tomorrow, the count down is now on bigtime for my 2 HUGE February events and I am nervous about both of them. Surgeon/Specialist appointment February 7thMarty/Glenene Clarity first BIG horse show February 16th (record entries, would have to be for his first time out wouldn't it) Off to bed, have a great day all, and don't forget to VOTE Cheers, Helen & Mick

Hellooooooooooooo everybody, we were just having tornado warnings so I'm not sure if I'll be keeping up with the vote tallys tonight. Hopefully, the worst is over. The power has already gone out once. We had 80mph wind gusts. Fingers crossed for Marty tonight....and for everyone here in the line of the storms. Helen, I voted early as well (5am). Then I went over to Myspace and was phished after reposting the bulletin that everyone is talking about over at the RBL thread here at the org. I deleted the bulletin, then of course I had my usual "Den Moment". I wasn't sure if I could trust Tom's link on changing my password, so I tried to figure it out on my own. Bad idea. I noticed while looking around that you could change your Country. Mine was set on Australia (go figure ) so I thought I ought to change it to U.S.A. so I did.....only it was not U.S.A English. It was U.S.A. hispanic. My Myspace page was entirely in Spanish.. .....ugh. I finally just went back to the link Tom provided and was able to change my password and my country. What a goober. ;D ;D ;D It's almost Feb. and Little Marty will be strutting his stuff. Helen, I hope you get lots of pics and hope your therapy helps. I know its been waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long. Dawn, girt means BIG? :I'm not goin' there. Cheers all. Goooooooooooo Marty!!!! Gooooooooooooooo Team!!!!! Den

Hi everyone, Just a quick drop in to wish you all a great weekend with whatever you have planned It's gonna be another bloody stinking HOT one here in country Melbourne. Little Marty, who by the way, isn't so little anymore! is coming along very well with his lessons for his BIG horse show in 2 weeks from today, I am getting very excited about being out showing again, and especially with him as he is such a character and we get on really well together, he can be quite naughty but he also has that 'look at me, I'm gorgeous' presence about him and he will be noticed by the judges. I am determined to compete with him myself and am hoping my leg will stand up to the test on the day, if not I have a friend who will show him for me but I have extra strong pain killers to take with me so I am hoping to struggle thru myself. I practice a little at home each day and it is a BIG painful struggle but hopefully on the day the adrenalin will kick in and all will be OK, I am stubborn and determined to do it myself, fingers crossed all goes to plan. Just hoping the weather isn't to hot that weekend. Anyway, take care all and have a terrific weekend with whatever you have planned. Love to all, cheers, Helen.

Hello to all! Helen, your comment:
he can be quite naughty but he also has that 'look at me, I'm gorgeous' presence about him and he will be noticed by the judges
about "little" Marty made me think, he's not so different than "our" mmmmMarty is he?!
Prayers and positive waves that you will be able to show him yourself! And I think we need photos of him too ...
To all, have a beautiful day!

Hi all, Well today is THE day. I am off to my specialist in about 20 minutes, this doc is my last hope to help me with my leg injury. I am really anxious about this appointment and have been all week. The outcome of this appointment will have a big impact on what lies ahead in my future Will let you know later on today if the news is good or bad, please say a prayer and send it my way that the outcome is what i want to hear even if it means more surgery I don't mind, as long as can walk & run again without being in total agony every step. Bye for now, Helen

Hi everyone, Jet, gorgeous puppy, not fair, now you have 2 gorgeous puppies!! Just wanna cuddle him so much. BIG thank you to everyone for sending those positive prayers and vibes my way, I think they may have worked or will in the long run at least! This is the first specialist/doc appointment in nearly 2 years I have come out of with some hope that I may finally get the help I need to get the majority of my nerve damage pain under control. It is going to be a tough 6-8 months of procedures and hospital stays but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Dr Taverner is such a likeable person and really makes you feel very comfortable and he listens to what you (the patient) wants and you can talk to him so freely that explaining what you are and have been going through is very important to him and he wants to understand every aspect of your pain and he doesn’t hurry you at all, my appointment was supposed to be 45 minutes, I was in there nearly 1 ½ hours. Even though we have done nothing yet to relieve the pain you can’t imagine how much better I feel already just knowing that finally I have found someone that can help me get through this instead of always having doors closed in my face, it is such a huge relief. Anyway, I go back to see him again on March 3rd and we discuss what the first procedure will be and map out all the operations and procedures over the next 6-8 months. Most of them will be just be one day stays in hospital but there is one that requires a 7 day treatment in hospital. Also another that is surgery where they implant a nerve stimulator deep into the worst affected area and this sends a pulse to the nerve. (Not quite sure how it works). He and his 2 other docs he works with meet at the end of each week and with every new patient and every complex patient (me), they discuss between them the best way to go about treatments and then they map out the best way to proceed. I have a really good feeling about Dr Taverner, I am sure he is just what I have been looking for. OK, so, have a great weekend everyone, Marty and I are doing some more work towards our big show next Saturday, which I am getting very excited about. The long range weather forecast is for very warm weather but not stinking hot so that’s not too bad. Have a great day everyone, lots of love to all, Helen.
