Thanks for all the wonderful birthday wishes, they were AWESOME

I actually had a really bad day on my birthday with chronic migraine which lasted 3 days and meant a short stay in hospital, crap happens, as they say

I follow St Kilda, The Mighty SAINTS in Aussie Rules football and we have made it to the last 4 amd the prelim finals this week. If we win on Saturday night and beat the Bulldogs we get into the Grand Final. In our over 100 year history we have only ever won one Grand Final in 1966 so we are so excited to maybe have a chance of getting to another Grand Final and winning. Please everyone, keep all your fingers, toes etc crossed for the SAINTS.

Helen, Faaaaaaaaantastic news Saturday night St. Kilda Saints blew away the Bulldogs 13.10 (88) to 8.16 (64) to make it to the Finals.

WooHoo as Den just posted above the Mighty SAINTS beat the Bulldogs by 24 points and have made it into the 2010 AFL Grand Final against the most hated team in the league, Collingwood (unless you follow them). The Saints have only ever won one GF and that was in 1966 and we beat Collingwood by 1 point. Our 2 teams have a huge rivalry and the SAINTS will definitely be the underdogs but they will give it their all.

It is gonna be a huge week of partying up til the grand final with watching SAINTS training sessions, the grand final parade and so much more, I just hope we have good weather.

It is gonna be a stressful, exciting week, and I am hoping we (the SAINTS) can pull off a miracle next Saturday.
What a party it will be then if it happens

Hey everyone,

Well Mick, his brother & cousin, my 2 sisters & nephew all managed to get Grand Final tickets in really good seats so they are absolutely stoked
The ground holds 100,000 people but the tickets never actually made it on sale to the public as social club members from all 16 football clubs get first go via ballot and they were all snapped up by lunchtime on Sunday. This game is gonna be HUGE

The poor SAINTS are gonna have to come out and match it with Collingwood from the first bounce or we wont have a chance, we certainly are underdogs but I am not ruling my boys out. I have my red balloons and streamers out, the front fence is decorated and the car has ribbons flying from the aerial. I am starting to get nervous already and I am not even going to the game, which is a shame but with my health at present that is an impossibility, I will go to my parents place and we will all watch it together. Hopefully we will be celebrating long into the night.
If we win I will definitely be going down to the club grounds on the Sunday and celebrating with all the other supporters and the team. I am desperate for this win to happen. I almost want this win more than I want to walk again, that is how desperate us SAINTS supporters are, we are a very devoted bunch!

less than 4 hours til kick off and I am so nervous

Mick is in a shocking mood, if the SAINTS don't win it isn't going to be pleasant tonight all around Australia unless you support Collingwood ( the most hated team in the league). We have finished decorating the front fence, front door and the car and Mick has gone to the footy, it is so nerve wracking.

Anyway, a couple of pics for ya to look at, Ruby certainly is a big girl now and here she is relaxing on the couch and the other two of the front fence, no streamers as they forecast rain and Mick didn't want the dye ruining the wood!! So the streamers are all in the house

Dawn, forgot to add that JD is back fronting INXS, he signed another 1 year contract as they have been playing gigs around Australia for the past 6 months or so at big functions like car races and other sporting events etc.
It will be good to hear how he is sounding today, my friend works for the company that supplies some of the big screens and lighting etc and he was at sound check yesterday and said he sounded really good along with the other bands that were playing so I am looking forward to hearing them.

Den and Jet,

What a game, nobody expected it to be a drawn match and for both teams to have to be back again this Saturday. I was exhausted all day Sunday as well after watching that match. Total numbness as no outcome and especially not winning but it is better than losing!

Have just been online and bought Mick and Co. their tickets for the replay and that is anther $1000 gone out of the bank account we didn't expect. Don't mind tho if we win!

Great Youtube video Den, we want to be kicking plenty of those goals on Saturday and the weather forecast is looking really good for us so far. Can't wait ti to be singing "When the Saints go Marching In" on Saturday night.
