It's a decent DVD. Unfortunately for those of us conditioned to seeing seering Marty closeups (oh those eyes) there are very few of those. Also, some of the quality of the camera work is a bit dodgy. You can tell this was definately an indie production.
It's great for getting a decent Marty/singing fix though. You get to hear a lot of decent songs and some of the inspirations behind them. I enjoy it, but just be forewarned the visual quality is not up to what we are used to watching Rockstar.
Shallow note? Marty's hair isn't as nice as it was on Rockstar either. Hey, I warned you it was going to be a shallow note.

At least at one of the shows featured. The acoustic show at Shubas Marty had long hair and kept tucking it behind his ears. I believe this show was quite a few years ago. On a "non-shallow" note, I was very impressed by this performance.
I did/do like his hair shorter like in the other show, when he was wearing the white leather jacket. Matter of fact I like it better than it was on a couple of episodes of RS:I.

Yes, it was the Shubas hair that I was referring to. I also agree that, while he had unfortunate hair, it was the best set on the DVD. That's the one I replay over and over.

...while he had unfortunate hair... I have unfortunate hair everyday. My life is one giant bad hair day.... I hope to see the DVD soon.

Someone from one of the other boards I am on said that most of the items are backordered thru mid-Oct.
I ordered my stuff back in August & it took 2 weeks to get (L'Strange was out-of-stock). I can just imagine insane it is to fill all the orders.

Ordered my DVD last week too, directly from the LH site. I noticed that you can also order it from Barnes & Noble's website. Not sure if they'd be any quicker, though...

I work at Barnes and Noble and if you try to order through the store, (at least at our store), we can't get it....I would order through the Lovehammers site (I did) because even online they should get copies before Barnes and Noble would.

I heard from several people that the quality of the video is not great, so I decided to pass on it, foreseeing that if the LH sign with a major there will be better things coming our way visually...maybe it is worth to capture the essential sound of the band before they hit the big time, but then I'd prefer a live CD.

I heard from several people that the quality of the video is not great, so I decided to pass on it. I dunno.... I just received my DVD and would say it's a must-see (Quick shipping too, BTW!!) First of all, it's GREAT to see Marty in his original element, getting crazy on stage, dropping the f-bomb here and there, having a beer... The acoustic set is fantastic, and I don't think the hair was unfortunate at all. I really kinda liked how he kept pulling it back from his face (sorry, had to squee a little). It was great to hear the meaning behind so many of the songs - I had no idea Call of Distress was actually about suicide. I just thought it was about a breakup... Okay, just one more squee, and I promise I'll stop. It was completely hot to see Marty in that tight "13" t-shirt during the Double Doors(?) set. He was all sweaty and and it was just SO different than what we were used to seeing on RS. Yes, the lighting and videography could've been better, but I thought it was really worth it. It's like a "history" of Marty and the Lovehammers, and I'm really glad I bought it..

Wow! You almost got me convinced...I have a couple of amateur videos I bought of Hole and Type O and they were absolutely not worth the money, the sound was bad, the camera was fixed so that you always saw the same scene, no different angles...So when I read that the video quality was not great I thought, I don't want another one of those! But I trust another fan telling me to GFIT!!!!

OK, I bought it. I thought if it's good, I have something good to watch, and if it's bad, I supported the LH!

Yep. Easter egg is a goody. I am a huge geek about Easter Eggs....
I always go online and google my new DVD's to see what EE might be out there.
Sorry I am modifying this to tell more. I am at work and had to go answer a call.
The Easter Egg can be accessed from the main title menu.
You have to move through the chapter titles and then click down to the credits. On the credits don't push enter, push the right arrow over one and then enter. With a little luck the easter egg will popup. This was not easy to manuever on my dvd player...but much easier to do once I popped the DVD into my laptop and used the arrows on the keyboard.
