As anyone who looks at the Aussie and Asia threads knows, I have been wearing my wristband and MCLH t-shirts absolutely everywhere. Of course, I previously only took pix of me in the shirt. Now that I can concentrate on just the wristband, I won't be so picky about the pic-ies. So to start off, here is the Wristband at/on the Star Ferry, a true symbol of Hong Kong: This one is real proof that I am in China. Beware of Slopping!

In all of these I am wearing the Wristband, even if you can't see it: At the Coldplay concert, July 2006 Hong Kong lots of ST-ing there as it was sponsored by Star TV, which broadcasts RS:Supernova in Asia. The band played Ring of Fire, but not nearly as well as you know who. In Sydney, waiting for the ferry: In Taipei, Taiwan. That's the tallest building in Asia, Taipei 101, behind me

Okay, I'm still in Hong Kong, but I had to take a pic of this-- a hammerhead shark swallowing the wristband. This was taken at Ocean Park, Hong Kong. I do have some travels planned, besides HJ, that is - so hopefully we will add the wristband in Japan, Thailand (or Malaysia), and China in the coming months... gotta rack up those frequent flyer miles for the next tour!

Hey there boys and girls, it's time for another episode of "where on earth is chk?" Here's a hint: It's been called the Paris of the East. Here's another: they model their new buildings after episodes of The Jetsons (I kid)Okay, last hint.... do you know this flag? That's right. It's Shanghai. i just spent the long weekend there along with about 3 million of my closest friends. It turned out that it was not only national day (hence the lights) but also the beginning of the nation's weeklong holiday, and the Grand Prix weekend. LOTS of people everywhere. I took this from my hotel room wndow:Here's the wristband: On the Bund: On Nanjing Rd East:

We also took a side trip to Zhouzhang, an ancient canal town. These became super famous recently as they were featured in MI:III (you know at the end when Tommy C goes off to rescue the missus..) Here are some pix: I'll upload a few more later. Until next time, same batty woman, same batty wanderlust...

Okay, so obviously Chicago was my most recent stop. I didn't take too many wristband pix since Chi-town has so many fans. But there were a couple of things I found funny. Like the Lego store on Michigan Ave that has a 6 1/2' tall Darth Vadar made of Legos and an R2-D2 as well. Here they are with the wristband: The other really cool thing was that Bono was in town on Thursday to tape an Oprah episode and to launch the Red brand at various stores. For those not familiar with it, many companies (Gap, Armani, Motorola, Apple, Converse...) have agreed to make collections under the Red label, with a portion of profits going to help AIDS charities, etc. At the Gap, swarms of people were buying the stuff (it's all cool) but the most amazing things were the T-shirts. They featured words such as Desi(red), Inspi(red) etc --all of which have the word Red in them. Of all things, they also has "Hamme(red)". I had to have it. This is what I wore to the show and when I met MC, who told me he liked my shirt!

Okay, I truly have the weirdest life of anyone I know, barring Marty Casey maybe, who cannot go to lunch without people staring at him... So, I have been up since 2 a.m., feeling a little jet lagged. By 2 pm I am thinking of taking a nap. I hear the little swoosh sound that means I've got mail.... It's urgent. It's from Versace. They have been trying to reach me for days about a press conference and gala dinner but I couldn't be reached. (teehee, I was in Chicago!) I have 30 minutes to get my butt downtown to the press conference, no time to arrange a one on one interview and I cannot attend the dinner as I have other plans. Regardless, I took a wristband along and took a stupid pic. Sorry I couldn't give a wristband or a CD to her (I did bring them along). She was whisked in and out of the conference by a phalanx of body guards and assistants.... Oh well, next time!

Good on ya chk!! It's not many people who are as adventurous as yourself.........I know I'm not........... The pics are amazing......thx for sharing and giving us a glimpse of life on the outside............

Hey guys, well, it was a three-day weekend here in HK, which in our house, means time to pack. So, tell me, have you ever seen a Chinese ink painting and wondered why the mountains look like they do? Well, the truth is, the artists were just representing what they saw -- strangely formed hills along the Li River in Guilin China: There are so many unusual rock formations there, that they all have names, derived from what they look like. This is The Wristband at Elephant Hill: and here it is at Camel Rock: Also in Guilin, we took snaps of the Wristband with Buddha: and in a pagoda on Solitary Beauty Hill: It also turned up at the Sun and Moon pagodas:

The four-hour River journey takes you to Yangshuo, a village once very sleepy and now teeming with backpackers. Here is the wristband on the Li River cruise: and on West Street in Yangshuo:
