Woo hoo, Dr Who love! I loved The Doctors Wife, I think that's been my favourite episode of this season! "I love it when he calls me old girl". I guess it's not fair to talk spoilers down here, the pirate one I wasn't too into, but that's been the only one out of the episodes that I've not wanted to watch again straight away!

I need to get caught up! My oldest child has been meeting with a group during lunch at school on Fridays and watching Dr. Who episodes. I don't think they are in any particular order, but OO's definitely been watching some of the more recent doctors. Oh, by the way, to make it sound all official, they call their meetings something like "British science fiction television appreciation". LOL! :-)

So far it's a definate 2 for 2 on the amazing episodes - Rory is awesome and you'll like seeing his dad on episode 2! Yup, time for a new companion around Christmas I think. Matt Smith is doing an amazing job - he's a fantastic Doctor and now the manic-ness has died down, he's fast becoming my favourite. Nothing against Mr Tennant, but he did drive me mad with the gurning from time to time!

Dinosaurs on a Spaceship was cool!! Rory's dad! It took me a few minutes to realise it was actually the Weasly dad form Harry Potter This ep was like a return to the RTD days. Fun, over the top and not deep or complicated...just a fun and stand alone episode. But if Mr Moffat is true to form the deep/complicated eps are still to come. Looking forward to it!! I just love being in the Whoniverse!!!! eta: I haven't even had a drink and I still can't spell

So far the 3 episodes have been so different and yet brilliant in their own right. The seriousness and sheer genius of the first episode was brilliant, I loved dinosaurs on a spaceship - Rory's dad made that for me! So funny (and he's in next weeks ) and I liked the 3rd one, the western (which I hate westerns) - the story wasn't new, but I liked how it was done. I still get excited when the titles run and guessing the picture in the doctor who logo is pretty cool too!

That episode is generally getting the lowest rating out of the season (can you call it that when it's 5 eps?). All of these have pretty much been stand alone eps - no big arc, I think the Moff has listened to criticism from the "general viewer" and made things simpler. You're in for a real treat with the slow invasion.

RTD always made the show with families in mind and he never forgot the kids, which is probably why Moff only got to write so many eps whem RTD was in charge. I really think alot of kids would have struggled with the storyline on the past two seasons (as good as they were). Fives eps as a season I'll forgive DT for the five ep year...but not Moff

I know what you mean - if he's got too much of a workload, he shouldn't have taken the job on, even if he always was my favourite writer! Blink/Family of Blood/Human Nature anyone? I hope you enjoy your next installment - can't wait to hear what you think about it!

I'm glad you loved the last one - I loved Rory's Dad - he made the episode for me! Just sitting there, documenting his findings on the cube. I've found this - that shows the Pond's timeline: www.thedoctorwhosite.co.uk/timeline/ponds/There's also this - www.doctorwhobbc.com/video/what-happened-with-rorys-father/ an ending that wasn't filmed of what happened to Rory's dad. Hope you like it. I think the Moff got it right with these 5. I'm a big Moff fan and loves it when he just tells a story and doesn't confuse matters (although making you think is never a bad thing!). These stories have been brilliant and now - can't wait for Christmas and seeing how things go!

Yeah we did - loved the "There's an Ood in the Loo" we had to explain to Mike & Jan after Asylum of the Daleks about Amy & Rory splitting up, as that wasn't explained in the episode. I guess now the countdown for Christmas begins - not because of tinsel & snow, but the next Dr Who!

Hi Britt - excellent to find another Dr Who fan around here! It's getting frustrating, waiting for the rest of this season, but the Moff says 2013 will be the year Dr Who takes over UK TV - so I guess I'll have to be patient. Feel free to join us in the basement - that's where most of the chat happens these days.

I find it odd that I find out the date it returns on here rather than on our own BBC. But yey - the rest of the season! can't wait, loving the new companion so far. I find her more likable than Amy. It took me a while to like her, but instantly loved Rory! How weird am I?
