I'm 34. i haven't been able to sway my mother, though, she's a country music fan, so she don't count. ha

It is definately his intensity onstage. He just lets it all out and puts everything into his performance. You can tell that he takes everything he does seriously and works just as hard off stage too. Plus, he has integrity and a good work ethic. He really impressed me with how he would just jump on the next assignment they got and hammer it out right away. And of course he most definately, positively has the IT factor. Otherwise how would so many of us normally sane women be losing our minds over him???

I think the main thing about him is that he seems down to earth even in the midst of this new found fame. His passion and love for what he does shows in the performances and I love that. its the intensity in his eyes, voice and body language when he is on stage, its his innocence(?) and shy way when he is off stage. He's the total package, sweet, intense, smart, funny and passionate all at once.

He has A BEAUTIFUL SOUL. It comes thru in All his performances! But it most assuradly comes across in his more intense balladeer songs where he does his LESS IS MORE Performances.
And Those EYES OMG.....I melt everytime I see THOSE BEAUTIFUL EYES! he's so beautiful, with an edge and a charm- Sarah McLachlan

I've really got it figured out this time. When he sings and looks into the camera he looks up and down like he is looking you up and down. He really knows how to work the camera. It's so hot. That is exactly what it is. He has more talent then that obviously but it is what makes us girls/women just hot for him.

Canadians - you rock! (The philosopher is coming out here so be forewarned) My musings lead me to the idea that art and creativity come directly from the energy source of who we really are. To be a true artist is to tap into that energy and bring it out through ourselves to the physical world. Which one of us is not creative in our own way (and I suspect we all are or we wouldn't have posted here)? And when in the throes of our own creativity, which one of us has NOT ever felt inspired and energized by what we were doing? However you describe this feeling - excitement, passion, amazement - there are probably a hundred words that don't do it justice. I suspect that we all see this creative energy when Marty performs, and recognizing what it is, we are drawn like moths to a flame as we feel that same part of ourselves respond to it. Marty had some help of course; the whole package of Rockstar allowed us to watch an artist grow in a way that one seldom has the opportunity to do. But man, he took that opportunity and RAN with it. And it looks like he dragged us along! So yes, I can't wait to see what he does with this - I think he's discovered a lot of things in the past few months that are new to him too. As for me, I don't know how it happened, but the part of me that responded to Rockstar (and ok, particularly Marty) is making me feel reawakened and energized. So - maybe I'm on my own here (grin) - but can anyone else relate? Really enjoyed your message Brought some light to what I was going through hehehe The Moth Theory I was feeling a little dazed on those Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights Great analogy maybe the "Moth image" would be a good one for the T-shirt Thanks Franny2 for helping me brain storm

He captivated me with his eyes. It was the first thing I noticed. I was just sitting there and all of a sudden I found myself REALLY watching him. I felt like he was singing to just me. The way he looked in the camera. It drove my husband crazy because I couldn't wait til the following week to see him again. My husband was like...."I don't get it, what do you see in him" ....I couldn't answer one specific. The total package. I said he transforms himself into this ultimately sexy man that I just can't look away from......those are my thoughts...

To me, besides Marty's utterly gorgeous blue eyes, is the vehemence of emotion that he brings to a song is so seductive. ahhhh... he beholds the arrhythmic writhing of my human heart ...

Hey girls! Yes, he is one fine man...I have to agree with the comments about stage presence, intensity, etc.... but for me, when he sings a slow one, it's the way he holds the mike...has to be the only time in my life I wished I was a piece of electrical equipment... Also, wanted to let everyone know who is commenting about wanting a CD of his RockStar performances, go to msn music, and you can download (for 0.99 per song) all of his songs from there....enjoy!

I was 'that' close to actually removing it after I wrote it - I was so focused on trying to put my thoughts to words, that I was afraid it sounded way too serious and 'intellectual' - not really the way Marty affects most of us is it? ;D Actually, he doesn't really make me feel that way either - it's just that he gets me right "there" and when something hits that spot I've just gotta express myself!!!!!

I hope you don't mind but I would like to copy and paste that comment into my Marty scrapbook. I so relate to everything you said. I loved watching Marty's journey. the "Marty Working" moments were my favourites. I loved watching him process. He is so smart and he was totally maximising the opportunities that came his way. He grew week to week, just got better and better. He would receive each criticism as a gift and then go and make best use of it. It might be a moment at the mansion, or the way he sounds when he says "without further ado", the conductor or the creep, the songwriter or the rock god. They are those moments that cause a sharp intake of breath and a bolt of heat to the heart (and parts lower). He's got a million of them. He is the real deal ladies and gentlemen.

T - I would be honoured if you would put my words into your scrapbook. On one condition though....I'm taking some of yours! Talk about nailing it girl! You made me realize even more why it is I like him so much. And I quote Palari, for those who have not yet seen it: "It is his generosity as a performer I think. I have said this before but he always gives us something of himself. It is always real and honest and so personal. It is like he trusts us with his pain, his sorrow, his joy, his anger, his hope. It is as if he knows that we will receive it all and share it with him without judgement. We will just love him. That, and he is a seriously delicious man." And to quote one further (I absolutely love this one): "He says "Welcome to my cauldron" and rewards us with himself." Yes Palari, Yes Yes! That's the Marty Magic!

I honestly can't say one bad thing about Marty so far. I love his voice, his eyes, his smile ALOT, his back (have you seen the picture of his back...WOW! that's hot!), but.........I think I love his profile the most...how weird is that. Yeah, I just love everything about Marty...
