i went to Tulane U and graduated in 82. The graduating class had a party on the big riverboat down there- ya know the Natchez...the one that's always pictured. They hired a band to play. Guess who? U2?!?!??!?!

Oh, and I absolutely LOVE old U2 and Police. I still have an image of U2's War album on the wall of the record store...with that black and white shot of the kid. And even old bootlegs from pub's in Ireland. The War album is one I have framed, as well as the Joshua Tree. Oh, Joshua Tree!!

there were fewer people there than at a small LH concert. standing directly in front of them...hardly a stage. Glooooorrrriiaaaaaaaaa

By the time U2 got to Ashtung Baby, they were losing me. Too mainstream and conventional leaning...and when Bono started wearing feather boas and those fly glasses, that was it.

By the time U2 got to Ashtung Baby, they were losing me. Too mainstream and conventional leaning...and when Bono started wearing feather boas and those fly glasses, that was it. I love Achtung Baby. It's one of favorite albums ever. Sorry- and love the shades. Although when he started it I thought he was out of his mind.
