Strange coincidence. I was just talking to a friend - we were at Healey's last weekend to and we saw Jeff Healey play jazz. That's where the RockStar Party was last December. Jeff has lung cancer. Do you guys know him? He's pretty awesome on guitar. And trumpet. |

The way I look at opening acts, every band was an opening act at one point. So, I just might be surprised by the next 'artist to watch.' We definitely found some last summer.  Exactly!  WATF has a few songs from their upcoming album up at purevolume and I really, really like what they have going on. It's fun.  |

I still look back at the Columbus show as one of the best nights of music I've ever seen. And it was just such a perfect night from start to finish.  |

Hi again RJ! I didn't hear that about Jeff Healy. That's awful. Yeah. Such a shame. He's only 40. My friend is a musician and some of his musician friends jam with Jeff in Toronto sometimes. He just found out from them the other day. I also know Dave Murphy (of the Dave Murphy Band) who is house band leader for Jeff on Thursday nights at Healey's. I'll probably check with him. They're supposed to tour England together in May. |
