I am highly tolerant and have a very open mind, but I am finding more and more . . . that I am less and less interested in meeting INXS. I made a decision a while ago to spend my time and energy on people who add value to my life. It's not that I feel there is no value to INXS, and I do enjoy their music . . . it's only that I don't see anything in them that improves or expands my world. This interview has done nothing but convince me more of this. If they were right in front of me and I had a choice, I would walk right on past them until I got to what has really mattered to me lately . . . and I would say a big hello to Marty and the Lovehammers!

Well said, Franny. That's exactly how I feel about it. I'm not really surprised by JD. We already knew he has issues. I think I'm most disappointed in Kirk. He seemed like a decent guy and is certainly old enough to know better. Why on earth would INXS choose to disrespect Marty just as they're about to head out on tour together? Not only is it unkind and immature, it's unprofessional.

Thanks exactly what I felt, Julianah...Tim I'm not surprised by, I think his fuzzy hair has tooks over his mind long ago and it seems to be trying to control other people's minds as well , and JD's JD but I was really disappointed in Kirk's behavior.

...I generally like the members of INXS (aside from Tim and his evil 'fro and JD) and Kirk always made me smile during the show (the finger-dance to Trees was cute) so I was more than a little hurt that he agreed with Tim and JD on their take on the PV writing credits --- I'm glad Gary wasn't there nodding his head too or I'd have thrown my computer and cried

Aye I agree with everyone but to some degree I am not downing INXS at least until after the tour right now they are giving Marty a little bit of a hand " little " I don't want them to feel like the LOVEHAMMERS fans are downing them. Marty and JD are friends to a degree so even if I can't stand JD I will at least wait until the tour to see how they treat the Lovehammers and how they react to the Lovehammers fans. Time will tell.

I watched the video clip, I't was a bit disappointing. If Marty and Jordis helped with writting Pretty vegas I would expect JD to give credit where credit is due. I expect there to be some rivery (sp) between Marty and JD because they both rock!!!!! I can' t wait to see both of them in concert in Detroit, MI. I also love Suzzie (Sweet Suzzie) I would love to see her again. Rock out

I hate it that INXS is going to get MY money twice!!!
I am going to wear a Lovehammers sweatshirt, Marty's pic on back AND front. It will be a big pic.
I am going to stay and watch the dreaded INXs and JD (short for JealousDog) just in case JD goofs.
I am utterly disgusted with him. How on earth did INXS decide to show that awful birthday party with JD sitting bareassed and barefrontal on a contaminated cake??? What a turn off.
JD reminds me a a spoiled little boy.
And I am surprised at the Band and their attitude. I hope Gary Beers does not have that attitude as I have always liked him, period.
I am upset, mad and hopefully when the year stint is over JD will go packing. While the Lovehammers will have gained a zillion more fans.

I cannot even compare SWITCH to the LOVEHAMMERS CD. Marty is so much better.

I watched the entire video clip and would like to add my two cents with a couple of observations/comments. First, I agree with Tooks--I was stung by Kirk's behavior and comments. It seemed very un-Kirk-like to me, and very surprising. But the whole interview seemed strained or forced or something. Maybe it was just a bad day (best case scenario), but their body language, especially JD's, spoke volumes to me. He was physically turned AWAY from Kirk almost the entire time. He looked uncomfortable and impatient, like he couldn't wait to get out of there. Also--and I've noticed this in other interviews--he never refers to the band members by name. He always points and says, "This guy..." or "These guys......" as in something like, "If it wasn't for [points] this guy sitting right here.........." I just think that is strange and uncomfortable-sounding.

As for an interpretation, I can't say what all of that means, but I'm positive it means SOMETHING, maybe if only that they are trying to force a closeness that they don't yet feel (again, best case scenario). Trouble in Paradise?? Hmmm........ I just hope if that's the case, they work it out before they tour, so that everyone--LH, INXS, and all fans--can have a great time! Because if not, I will be PISSED!!!!!

Just watched the video.

1. JD looked like he had ants in his pants, and what's with the karma thing, I am sure that if they thought that Marty and Jordis didn't have any input in PV then they would have fought it, the karma thing is going to be going the other way around JD!

2. Is it just Australians that have "flavour savours"? (sorry no offence to aussies, just saw the aussie MTV Video awards last night and seeing Shannon Noll with his and then Kirk and Tim with theirs, made me laugh) By the way, love that Shannon Noll song with Bryan Adams.

3. Pretty disappointed that INXS won't be downunder till about June, just hoping and wishing that LH make it down with them (and that INXS egos don't make them ditch LH because they are getting more applause hehehe!)

I also got the impression JD is trying to be something or someone he is not.??.. What I love about Marty is .... he is what he is and never has pretended to be something else, even when INXS wanted him to change - he still stayed Marty. I can't wait to see the Lovehammers and Inxs in February. Rock Out!!!

OK here is my 2 cents,

disappointed - yes, surprized - no. There seems to have been this kind of attitude since the show ended. (maybe because they got a lot of flack for no choosing Marty )

But....to the best of my knowledge, Marty has never said an unkind word about J.D. or INXS (in any public forum anyway). And although I have never been a J.D. fan and my opinion of INXS has certainly NOT improved, I like probably everyone else here want this tour to go well.

This tour is exactly what the Lovehammers need as a part of the process of getting the band known to the public at large. So I for one will keep most of my feelings about what they said to myself.

I also agree when going to the shows everyone should be wearing Lovehammer & Marty Casey T-shirts and wristbands and buying plenty of their merchandise.

I guess the bottom line is, what ever is good for our guys is what matters most. Besides we have already seen who has the most class.

I think JD is ADD. He fidgeted and looked all over throughout the whole interview. (And the nose picking thing - on TV!)

Did anyone else think it was weird that JD was squished into the corner of the couch by Kirk? At first I thought maybe the chair was too small, but when Tim arrived I saw it was a big couch and Tim had lots of room, but JD couldn't even put his arms at his side. I guess that shows his place in the pecking order. I actually felt sorry for him. Maybe Kirk is demanding favours from him.....it was Kirk who was crushed up against him the whole time

Be careful what you wish for.....seems JD may have to continue to do alot of ass kissing !!!!

Very observant takemeout! He was all squished in the corner of a large couch wasn't he. JD definitely couldn't sit still whereas Kirk looked very comfortable and hardly moved. There was a lot of nose picking going on too, even Tim had a turn!

Just thought I'd add my take on this interview.

My distaste for JD is still as it was from the first time I saw him on RS:INXS, he is still the brown nosing, up himself pig he was thru the entire show and is moreso now than he ever was!

He does not like to give credit where credit is due and his comment about Marty who.. ? only shows how threatened he is by Marty, he knows the Lovehammers are a real threat to outdo INXS at the concerts. When he says there is rivalry between the 2 of them it is because he is scared of Marty doing better than him in the long run and we all know this is going to be true.

INXS, I feel, are trying hard to sell JD as the best thing to happen to them in a long time as they aren't gonna come out and say they made a mistake by chosing him. They are playing on the publicity to try and make JD something he isn't, and that is a great singer! I know he (JD) has his fans and they are welcome to him. I am personally very happy INXS chose him and not Marty for obvious reasons.

The main thing I got from this interview, reading between the lines, is that after this leg of the tour I am sure they will dump Lovehammers as their support act as they ALL feel very threatened by Marty and Co. and don't want the support band to outdo them which will happen at some venues!

I apologise to anyone if I have offended them with my above thoughts but I tell it as I see it.

I haven't seen the interview yet, but i would like to ask a couple of questions. 1) Didn't some members of inxs admit that they really didin't like jd in the beginning?
Does anyone feel that there might still be some truth to that? Also, what are the terms of jd's contract?
Did anyone happen to notice the look on dave's face when inxs picked jd? To me he looked alittle disappointed. I always felt that he was rooting for marty.

Yes, you are correct, some of the INXS band members didn't like JD in the beginning and I am sure there are still some feelings of dislike between them. As they say 'first impressions...'.

I think I read somewhere that JD has only signed a 12 month contract with the option to extend it at INXS request.

And yes, I did notice Dave Navarro's look when JD was chosen, I am sure Marty was definitely Daves choice but in reality Marty is too much of a nice guy to be the lead singer of INXS, JD fits the bill so much better and they are welcome to him.
We want Marty & Lovehammers for ourselves.

I've lost what respect I had for INXS (minus JD, never had any respect for the elvis impersonator).

It will be very painful to give my money to that band...but will still do it for the sake of the LH!
