I know some of you were talking about how bad the security was. Well, here's my story.......
My friend and I took the train from Michigan. Got into town late, so we took a cab to the concert. Got out of the cab and as it was driving away, I realized that I left my cigarette case in the cab. Thats where I was keeping my ticket for the concert. Totally freaked out. We yelled at the cab to no avail. Went inside to see what could be done. As my friend talked to security, trying to get me in, I stood against the wall and balled my eyes out. The security ladies must have felt sorry for me because they let me in without a ticket. I heard from the natives that It was a miracle I got in. We rocked out at the concert. Screamed and sang every song. Didnt get a picture with Marty because the Aragon security people kept yelling at me to go to the back of the line (probably because I was the tallest one in the bunch, 6'2"). I had been standing there, 2 people away from the front, (never saying a word) and wouldnt give up my place in line. I got to hold Bobby's hand as he asked my if I would be alright. I said yes and then got bumped off to the right. (Marty was to the left) Anyway, as you can tell, I saw the good and the bad in the Aragon security. Guess everything happens for a reason. I will try again in Feb in Detroit. Rock On Hammerheads.

cfeelvr -- ironically the one time i lost concert tickets and cried my eyes out to be let in was to see INXS and Adam Ant! (Yes it was a while ago.) Anyway, it worked fo rme too -- glad you got to go to the show. Good luck meeting hte boys in Motor City.

It was such an awesome show, and everyone I met was absolutely wonderful. I love all you guys! Anyway, it was great to talk to Marty for a couple of minutes, see one of the best shows ever, view a bit of mayhem at the bar, and just have an awesome time.

I brought in two throw-away cameras with me, hoping that would force me to take more pics, but only took 3 or 4. I'm so bad about taking pics, and I don't know why. I guess I just get caught up in the moment. Anyway, I'm not sure if even those came out OK, so I guess I'll have to wait and see.

I know someone took a pic of me talking to Marty, but I can't remember who it was. Whoever it was, you rock! I'm just sorry I can't remember who it was, but I look forward to seeing it.

Were you with a girl named Kathy? I know I took a picture of a girl and I have her e-mail. Is that you?

I don't think any of the girls I was with were named Kathy. I was with a pretty big crowd, and was staying across from Kim and Tara at the hotel. This was a pic someone took at the meet and greet before the show.

Well I'll be Penny!! Should we now call you Lucky Penny!?? I FINALLY got through all your posts...could you DRAW the story out any further? LMAO!! You're worse than I was after the Metro. But GIRLFRIEND! WOW! I am sooo impressed! See what a little intention'll do for ya?? Your experience is just the coolest ever. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for calling me so many times! I must say I about DIED when I got out of the Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe movie & saw you had called 3 times...I almost started crying & my new friend that is a boy said WHAT'S WRONG!? All I could think was Penny had Marty call me for my birthday & I missed it! & I was just going to go jump off the nearest 405 freeway overpass! ...anyway Penny thanks for trying to call during my fave songs! You are the best, AND as I see it, I think the crown has now been passed on to you! SOO SOO cool! I'm on like page 16 so still have some reading to do but had to just bow down to the Goddess of Marty comedy (hey can I be your partner??) ... it's so fun reading everyone's stories! thanks everyone! Lordie do 'I' have my work cut out for me to top the Aragon afterparty when I can hopefully stalk down - er, I mean accidentally run in to - the boys in Vegas......I think if I sit next to then at the blackjack tables I'll be doubling down on 21! LOL

Oh, you guys remember "D"? She wants to know if I had a good time on Friday.

Uh, yeah, I guess. It was okay.

"D" was my friend that knows the band. The reason I went to the afterparty. The one who introduced me to Marty.

I had found another person at the show that I know and she happens to know the band. I am going to be really vague about this stuff, for fear that she will NEVER let me tag along with her again. Plus, I don't want to blow my cover as "cool friend of the band" chick. Although that may have been out the door when they remembered that I was the one that was stroking Marty's leg. Anyway.

So my friend Jackie wanted to leave, so D asked me to stay and hang out with her and her friends - who also know the band. She didn't know that Marty and co were downstairs signing stuff so we head down there. Security brought her right to the front of the line and Marty vaulted over the table when he saw her and gave her a huge hug and a kiss and they talked for a while. (I didn't hear what they were saying but I'm sure it was all about me.) All the other guys came out to talk to her too and that was really cool.

If ANYONE knows I had a good time, it should be her!
