Me, too!!! Yak, there's a PM waiting for you about this. Now I have to decide what to wear ... I still think a Trash & Vaudeville T-shirt is the right way to go. Marty wore one at some point during RS.

I am going to CBGB's. Work just let me have the 13th and 14th and 15th off...
I just have to figure out crashing situation. My friend Deb lives in Brooklyn and works on Wall ST, but I am not sure if she has room for me to crash on her couch or not.

Sounds good to me! We'll make it LH-day instead of V-day!! This is eerie, but just 1-2 days before the CBGB announcement I was looking at tops on the CBGB site to possibly wear to one of my shows!! *insert twilight zone music*

Hubby suggested that since we would be in NYC to see the LH concert on 2/13 that we should check to see what other bands were in the area. The first place he said to check was the CBGB Club to see if they were even open for business. We thought it would be cool to go there before it closed. We checked and there was nothing posted for the days we would be there....so imagine my surprise when, a couple of days later, I read about the LH concert there!!! I told my husband what a spooky coincidence.....Looking forward to meeting up with you brennak. We can plan our strategy for how we will keep Marty "warm" once he takes off his shirt........

Please post where you all will be, just in case I get to run in and say hello for a minute.

Hi Velvet,
Seems like you'll be coming in to Grand Central, since you live in CT. The closest subway is the 6 to Bleecker Street. Get in the last car on the train. You'll exit onto Bleecker and be exactly one block away from the club!

I have never been on the subway, looked at the maps once and it was too confusing We have always walked to theaters and restaurants. Hope to meet everyone there. No doubt we'll all be squeezed in together!

Hey rockbeast!! Glad you are joining us, although so far there is just 4 or 5 of us, but as the day gets closer I hope more will show interest in getting together before (or even after) the show. Because I am an Asian woman, Thai, Chinese, Japanese (do you like sushi or sashimi?) is fine with me! I guess majority will decide....looking forward to meeting you!

kon ba wa rockbeast-san.....so you were born in Japan? Cool....I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, but now live in Pennsylvania. You said you have been in the CBGB club. I was told it holds about 250 people but from the pix it looks like a very small room....how many people do you think it can hold? Also, I am so surprised that there still are tickets left..but then I said that might be a good thing for us fans---more breathing room than at the viper....

domo arigato takketyyak although we moved from Tokyo when I was 2 1/2, so I only speak scochi (spelled right?). Who told you it holds 250? ?? I would think more like 150. But it WAS in 2001. Do a google search for it and you can see pictures of how small it is. I am surprised there are tickets left too, and they are only 12 dollars!! I am also very excited to see Neal Carlson (Rockstar INXS) and his band Boga Roda, or is it Roda Boga. Something like that. LOL Did you go to the viper room and did I meet you?
