domo arigato takketyyak although we moved from Tokyo when I was 2 1/2, so I only speak scochi (spelled right?). Who told you it holds 250? ?? I would think more like 150. But it WAS in 2001. Do a google search for it and you can see pictures of how small it is. I am surprised there are tickets left too, and they are only 12 dollars!! I am also very excited to see Neal Carlson (Rockstar INXS) and his band Boga Roda, or is it Roda Boga. Something like that. LOL Did you go to the viper room and did I meet you? I called the club store and asked the guy that answered the phone how many people does the room accomodate...he said "I guess about 200-250"....I just assumed he knew, but I agree the pictures show a very very small room. Is there more than 1 room for performances at this club? Not sure about the spelling of scochi....LOL...my Japanese is limited to about 10 words....You probably know more than I do! BTW, I am more of mama-san than a chickie, but can rock like any chickie can!!!!!!!!! No, I did not make it to any of the California concerts, tho I did try to buy tickets for the Oakland one. My vacations are picked a year in advance so it is very difficult for me to "just getaway" on a moment's notice...I was hoping the LH would come here to western Pennsylvania soon...

Rockbeast, Dude, I forgot to thank you for your reviews and your pictures of all the LH concerts you have attended so far. You are a wonderful writer/reviewer...I especially love how emotional you get...THAT IS WAY COOL!!!!!! ALL the mega-Marty fans have posted wonderful pictures and reviews....I thank all of you for your contributions!!!!! Hopefully I will not suffer brain-fade if Marty takes his shirt off at the CBGB Club and will be able to post my own personal review.....Just have to remind myself to keep breathing, keep breathing....

YAK, Rockbeast and everyone else who wants to hook up before the show: I love Thai and Japanese, too! Would you like me to scope out a restaurant near CBGB's that has decent food? There are a lot of them in Greenwich Village. Are you willing to walk a few blocks?

Yeah that would be great, I will ask my friend Deb who lives in Brooklyn if she knows of any place, and I am ok with walking.
Yak- awww thanks, I will help you not pass out and remind you to breathe.

Remember it's Valentine's Day. Places to eat may be crowded.

Rockbeast,
Where does Deb live in Brooklyn? I live there, too!
There are several Thai, Japanese, and Chinese restaurants within half a mile of CBGB's ... question is how much you want to spend! There's also an AMAZING vegetarian restaurant called Gobo that I can recommend hands down; it won't match any of your expectations about what veggie food is like ...the style is New Age Asian. We also have to decide if we just want wine and beer or a full bar (different licenses in NYC).
Vstreamer definitely has a point about Valentine's Day, but I can always make a reservation if we know in advance how many of us there will be.

adding to this thread too....I am coming to NYC for the CBGB show! Hooking up w/ mondegreen.....and then interested in getting together for dinner as well....open to all sorts of Asian cuisine....love it! Keep me in the loop! And yes very good point about the restaurants being busy for V Day....reservations will be a good idea!

Wendy (aka NYC Transit Queen) Hi Wendy, what would be the best way to get from the JFK (couldn't make La Guardia) to where the club is located? Hope this question makes sense... LOL Thanks!
