As some else reported Marty made a point of saying he was going to try to look at each face in the crowd and connect with each person as thanks for coming. He also at one point said he loved that we all knew the lyrics and were singing along. Dino said that they have been playing for these groups of 3000 people but this room was special. He said you guys are insane. (In a good way.) They seemed so happy to be in room where they could really feel the love. Marty said. I see some old faces and some new faces. I want to get to know you all. Marty walked out into the crowd and disappeared into the madness I could hear him singing but couldn't see anything except ocassionally the microphone high in the air. He walked along the tables on the along side of the room. He several times stood on something (the Speakers?--couldn't see) and held on to the top curtain and leaned out into the room. What a connection with the crowd. Susie McNeil was in the house standing behind me--and yes Rockbeast got his picture (I'll let him tell you his story!) I can't convey how special this experience was. If you get a small room chance with the guys take it. Gibson was good but they didn't have the fans with them. the people around me were into it--but not on their feet. I think they impressed a lot of people here but people were there to see INXS--and actually I thought the guys got a lot of respect for an opening band everyone around me was listening bobbing heads and not talking--which while I would have preferred to be around dancers and people I could rock out with. I felt they liked the LH's show. But in the VIper --wow sea of energy surrounding you--too much fun! Amazing. Words don't do it justice. Sorry folks gotta go. Hope this tidbit of info holds you over until others post. Nice recap! Thanks! That's why I wanted to see them at the Metro so bad before the tour. You just can't compare seeing a band like this in a small venue compared to a bigger theater. It must've been really incredible seeing them in a small place like the Viper Room. Oh man.. I can't believe that Suzie was there. Like Rockbeats, I have a HUGE crush on her! He must've been in pure heaven!

I feel worse than you. I was at the Pala show and actually saw Marty walking through the casino ALONE in a beautiful long black coat. I called his name and ran up to him. At the exact moment I reached Marty, a guy standing at a card table with his girlfriend turned and spotted Marty. Marty stopped to talk to him and I stood beside him and gave him a hug and held on to him for a second or two and told him my name. He said "Hello. How are you?" turned his back, finished his conversation with the guy and walked away!
I felt like a complete idiot. The couple looked at me like I was stupid and turned their backs and I'm just standing there going "DUH". I think I would have rather not met him than to make a fool of myself as I did.
It was so traumatizing for me I could not even look him in the eye at the meet and greet. Just tapped his wrist and asked where his wristbands were. He said he gave them away. I walked away and that ended the whole miserable experience with him. On the positive side Bobby was amazingly sweet and I flirted some with Billy which was fun.
So dont feel bad. You could have MY luck!

Amy, sounds like Marty needs more wristbands! Melj, someday you'll be able to look back at the time you were hunting rock stars in a casino and laugh -- but I understand why you can't quite yet! Thanks to everyone posting Viper RoomGibson stories. Sounds amazing!

As everyone else has already said, the Viper Room was a wonderfully intense show. I was at Highland the night before which was just as good, but my anticipation on meeting Marty kept me form fully enjoying the show. Since I did get to meet him at Highland, I was truly relaxed at Viper and just enjoyed the show including the music and of course Marty's stage presense which was just out of this world!
Even better was the fact that I got a chance to meet so many of you in person! The dinner at Rainbow before the show was great. Everyone there is so cool and it was a blast hanging out with people who felt just like I do about Marty and Lovehammers!
If any of you got pics at dinner, please share them as I never took out my camera during dinner.
Looking foward to a another So CA rocking evening!

Went to the Viper with hammerhubby and rocked out with cjspas and chanvre & hubby. The show started late but kicked butt! Wish it had gone longer. The room was small and crowded. Wall to wall hammerheads packed in like sardines. We had 5th row seats at the Gibson and saw them really close up, but this was incredible. You could see the sweat pouring off their faces. The energy was awesome. The guys really worked their butts off on stage. They put all their heart into it. Marty even grabbed Dino's hair.
Was outside with countless others waiting for a meet & greet. Feel bad that so many missed out, especially the fans who traveled so far. Did connect with Dino. He and I had PM'd a few times and he remembered me. Dino's the sweetest guy. Caught one of Bobby's drumsticks at the Gibson and he signed it for me after the Viper show. Didn't have a pen because I wasn't expecting to get any autographs. Jodie came to my rescue and whipped out a sharpie. You rock, girl! Told Bobby that Jodie was the one who had followed the bus and then I shrieked like a 14-year-old groupie, "She's our hero!" (Hammerhubby thought this was a bit over the top.)
More later as I think of anything. We stayed overnight at the Bel Age and left early (with only five hours sleep). Met 4reeds outside the hotel. I'm dragging now for lack of beauty sleep and have to get ready for a formal dinner tonight. (Lucky me!) Hope I don't fall asleep at the table.

I got my pictures back and they are ridiculous. (although they might give a perspective of what the room was like--a little Marty in the back of the picture in a sea of bigger heads of the people that are standing in front of me.) Sorry guys!
I know there are others who aren't going to be back at computers till tomorrow that were closer to the front who probably got great shots!

Okay, Im going to give only my personal story because Penny was with me and she is so much better at this than me.
This was my first lovehammers concert. I got up at 4:00am yesterday to fly to L.A. I arrived in the morning and Jodieca came and picked me up at the hotel so that we could go and get Penny, Chitownchick and Penny's friend D. Our luck, the 405 to the airport was SHUT DOWN so we were stuck forever on the highway. By the way, Jodie likes to read maps WHILE she is driving on the highway so keep that in mind if your going to drive with her (love you Jodie)!
Finally got the girls and headed to the hotel. Went by the viper and bought shirts and scoped out the place. It was so unbelieveably small! We were dying. There was not a single bad seat in the house. Club is all black with three booths on each side of the stage and a bar. We scoped out EXACTLY where we wanted to sit then left to get ready for dinner.
We met so many other fans for dinner. There were 24 of us for dinner at the rainbow room, and everyone had a blast! We took pictures, had some drinks and some food and talked about our love of the band.
We headed over to the viper at about 11:00. There was a band playing and the place was PACKED. Band was good. We squished right up to the stage to the second/third row of people (literally 4 feet from the stage) dead center. There was a very annoying drunk girl who me, Jodie, Chitownchick and Penny had to deal with, but it was all good.
All of a sudden, the back door enters and we see Bobby, Dino and Billy enter one at a time behind a curtain. Then we hear Marty's beautiful voice behind the curtain and one of the girls up front opened the curtain and there was Marty in his speed freaks shirt, blue pinstrip pants with black belt, black soldier jacket and sunglasses. We all started screaming!
Opened with Straight as an Arrow and the crowd was rocking! Marty was so funny and panties started flying towards the stage. A girl to the left of the stage was dancing on a table in her negligee! Craziness ensued! Marty made the comment about how he doesn't wear underwear and then someone gave him a rose and he was like "a rose and underwear- what am I Tom Jones?" It was very cute. Some of the ladies were begging him to take off his clothes and he was like, "in time", and "I'll do it if you do it" and "this isnt a sex show"-he was very snarky.
Did I mention he was like three feet from us? We were out of our minds. Penny was calling everyone so they could hear and I was dancing and screaming. Marty looked at every single person in the audience and when he looked at me I felt like a puddle of mush. You heard the song set list and we couldnt have asked for a better set of songs. Marty was jumping on the speakers, came out in the audience to where we were standing (next to Jodie!) and I got to touch him and he was jumping with everyone. Then he was off in a shot (that boy is fast) over to the booths.
The rest of the songs were amazing. Everyone there knew the songs and you could tell that the band was loving it as much as we were. Marty did all his classic moves, mad conductor, head banging. As for his state of undress, first the jacket came off to reveal the speed freaks t-shirt. Then, I think a song or two before the finale the shirt came off. Holy Mother of God. 1/2 naked Marty. Sweat hitting us in the audience. It was surreal. Marty was kind enough to give us the back shot (you know, when he stands backwards and extends his hands to the sides, and, well, I was done.
They rocked! Then, when they came back and did an encore of "This Town" it was absolute madness. Jeremy, the merchandies guy was up there playing guitar. Dino remarked that the viper show was better for them than the shows where they played for thousands (Marty remarked on that too how he loved the intimate setting where he could see everyone). Bobby was just unbelieveably gorgeous and amazing as usual. Billy was fantastic as always and threw his hat out at the end of the show. Bobby threw a drum stick.
It was over WAY TOO SOON. That is my only complaint. The show was only about 45 minutes and it seemed like 5 minutes and they were gone.
Like everyone else, we cleared out of the club. Saw Suzie McNeal on the way out. She's much smaller than I thought. Once outside, Penny decided to go in to the bathroom. We were being told that the guys were gone. People were starting to leave. I was so bummed! Me and Chitownchick decided to go get some water and I told Penny that if she saw Marty inside she better call my cell.
Im in buying water and my cell rings. Its Penny! She hangs up before I answer it. I yell to Chitwon- come on! Penny called, she must have found the guys! The bouncer didnt want to let people back in and no one knew they were inside. I got in, so did Chitown and as I walked in there by the bathrooms was Penny and D and MARTY! I was dying.
Part 2 to follow.....

I have only had 3.5 hours of sleep, I couldnt sleep much at the extravagant and comfy hotel I was in due to all the SUZIE LOVE. As you can see, Suzie and RB were feeling no pain. We were all pretty drunk I think. HEHEHE

yep, I do have two of bobby and one he is with Jodie and she hates herself in it, so somehow I have to get it cut in half so she is out of it. They both look HOT to me!! And Jodie took a GREAT pic of Bobby and I, but she is in Vegas right now for the show and she will be posting her pics on Monday. LOVED JODIE!!! Thanks for the drink sweet cheeks.........she is a LIVING DOLL literally. There were TONS of beautiful women at the show last night. It was rather overwhelming. Penny, klly, Danielle, Jezza, and everyone else you really rock. Pongraphic was very cool, but I didnt get to talk to her much. She was sort of shy!! Awwwwwwwwwww. Which I am not... I will talk to the street lamp.
