Hi, What an amazing show! Where do I begin. Well, I first ended up going to the Gibson show. The band put on a high energy set. I wish they could have played longer...I found it too short. But here's where my story begins. Last week, I had won tickets to the Gibson show & backstage passes. I had a quick meet & greet w/ INXS. Little did I know that I could use the pass for the remainder of the night. So I decided to take my chances & tried to see if I could go back again. To my luck, no one stopped me & I kept walking. I actually ended up seeing MiG back there, but the LHs were no where to be seen. While the INXS show was going on, I began walking & found my way to their tour buses & ended up meeting Dan. Thanks Dan for your company. He is such a sweet person, he let me hang around the buses until the band would show up. Dan, you're so cool! Well, I think about 15-20 mins later...guess who I saw coming towards the bus.....it was MARTY! I could not believe it. He approached me and gave such a nice sweet hug and we took a few shots together & got him to sign my CD covers. He actually remembered me from the Rockstar show! That truly amazes me about him, how he remembers even if it was for 1 short minute. That just made my night. I actually ended up missing the whole INXS show...but it was all worth it. I also saw Bobby & got a quick pic. I was gonna try to wait around for the others...but decided it might be wise to head off to the Viper. Can you believe it , it gets better than this? I ended up meeting Claudia/Sweetcheeks there & there I was up front row to the stage. It was the BEST! What was also cool about the show...was that I got to meet some gals from the boards, RockBeast....hehehehe =) The LHs finally showed up & put on an amazing show. All I can say is that this was the best concert, nothing else can top it off. My eyes were totally focused on Marty....he would just look at each person with such intensity. He made every effort to look into the audience, so that he could personally thank them. His eyes are just so sharp, deep & intense. Anyway, after the show, we ended up meeting all the band members & took photos again. I had such a blast! I'm just so sad that it's come to an end. I hope they come back to LA soon. See ya Virginia aka Martyfanny

Thanks everyone! It was the best. Words cannot describe it!
What can I say....all they say about Marty is true. He truly takes his time to appreciate his fans. He tries to meet each person's request.
The last time I had seen him was at the Rockstar shows, so it was so nice to see him again & be able to spend a short moment with him.
All I can say is that he has such a genuine & giving heart!
Rock on Marty & LHs.

Thanks so much. I wish I had photos to post, but I have only a 35MM camera and I don't know what kind of photos I took. I regret not having a digital camera. I shall be prepared the next time. We were told that we were not allowed to bring our cameras in,but they never checked. So many people were clicking away. Marty mentioned after the show, how it was amazing how many photos were being taken. Those flashes must have distracted him.....What a sweety! Alright, its time to get out of this house & venture out... =) Virginia

OKay I'm up now. COffee in hand. So I'll try to give a recap of the Viper. Except that it is hard to describe the sensation of being in that room. Which was the overwhelming feeling of being surrounded by the music not just from the stage but all the people who love the music.
This will be kind of stream of conscious because I know you all want information ANd if I try to organize my thoughts--I may have to leave before I get anything posted.
Can I just start by saying I'm kicking myself for being the master of being in the wrong place? The viper room is such a small room--I stepped out and was waiting outside while everyone was connecting with the guys inside. Then BObby and Dino stepped outside for some pictures and I'm like--oh there they are--and I move over and just as I get close they disappear again---Saw Marty as he stepped into the SUV and drove away. OKay I'm just letting my lack of personal encounter go and will let others tell you about the fricking hour they spent with the guys in the room while I was clueless. I've got to work on my awareness skills and also my pushiness. I tend to be pretty laid back.
Okay now to avoid focusings on the negative and take away from the amazing show.
The room was packed. I mean packed! In general everyone was cool. I was hanging with Mrs Bud and Chanvre and their hubbies--chatted with others around while waiting. Everyone was so cool.
It was actually funny before the guys got there--I was in line for the ladies room and everyone was chatting about what board they were on--and this poor women looked at me and said--board? am I missing something--I told her you sure are--and told her about the different boards especially this one. She didn't even know we existed--just a fan from the show. Boy was she funny. It was like were speaking alien to here. SHe looked so confused poor thing.
Anyway back to the show. The show didn't start till about 12:45a. If you haven't been to the Viper I have to explain tht there is a door that opens onto SUnset and the stage is surrounded by a curtain right next to the door. So at about 12:30--You'd see one of the guys slip in the door and behind the curtain. It was like--okay I know they are behind that curtain.--Can I take the contents behind curtain number 1?
They take to the stage.
Dino got his wish--there were panties flying at him. (I think he posted somewhere that they hadn't gotten any panties--yet.) Marty made point of saying--I don't know why you are sending me underwear--I don't wear any!)
There was a point where there was a problem with Billy's amp and Marty said--in the excitement he had kicked a hole in the amp. So while BIlly rewired Marty had to chat with the audience--Made a comment about wanting to be a stand up commediene at one point but that he wasn't funny.
Not sure if it is was at this point or another in the show--someone must have been encouraging him to strip and he said--this isn't a sex show.
Billy got rewired and they were off.
Songs: IN no apparent order and I'm not sure I got them all Staight as an Arrow Call of Distress THe Riddle Clinic Throw my head The tunnel Rain on Brain (god did they play this here or at Gibson or both? I'm so Confused.) Better off Walk Away Trees Paint it Black encore: This town
Okay I'll stop post this and do a part 2.

As some else reported Marty made a point of saying he was going to try to look at each face in the crowd and connect with each person as thanks for coming.
He also at one point said he loved that we all knew the lyrics and were singing along.
Dino said that they have been playing for these groups of 3000 people but this room was special. He said you guys are insane. (In a good way.) They seemed so happy to be in room where they could really feel the love.
Marty said. I see some old faces and some new faces. I want to get to know you all.
Marty walked out into the crowd and disappeared into the madness I could hear him singing but couldn't see anything except ocassionally the microphone high in the air. He walked along the tables on the along side of the room. He several times stood on something (the Speakers?--couldn't see) and held on to the top curtain and leaned out into the room.
What a connection with the crowd.
Susie McNeil was in the house standing behind me--and yes Rockbeast got his picture (I'll let him tell you his story!)
I can't convey how special this experience was. If you get a small room chance with the guys take it. Gibson was good but they didn't have the fans with them. the people around me were into it--but not on their feet. I think they impressed a lot of people here but people were there to see INXS--and actually I thought the guys got a lot of respect for an opening band everyone around me was listening bobbing heads and not talking--which while I would have preferred to be around dancers and people I could rock out with. I felt they liked the LH's show.
But in the VIper --wow sea of energy surrounding you--too much fun! Amazing. Words don't do it justice.
Sorry folks gotta go. Hope this tidbit of info holds you over until others post.

Hey cjspas. I can so so feel your pain!! I couldnt end up at the right place at the right time if I paid someone a million dollars to put me there!! I have a great slogan for you. I use it all the time (cause I have to). "Some people have one of those days, I have one of those lives". Same crap happened to me at the Aragon in Chicago. Got within kissing distance to the guys and never got to speak to Marty (never mind get my picture with him or the guys). Anyway, glad you had a good time. My concert is in Detroit on 2/8. BTW everyone, yes I would like some cheese with my whine!! lol Rock On!!

My comments from the Tour Towns board:
The guys got to the Viper Room pretty late, and didn't go on until after 12:30, I think? The room was PACKED. There was no room to breathe practically, but the energy from the crowd was amazing. I was a couple of feet from the stage (rocking out with mursbud and cjspas!). The guys were right in our faces!!
Memorable moments:
-There must have been at least 3-4 pairs of panties thrown on the stage when the guys first came out. Someone gave Marty a long-stemmed rose, too.
-Marty came out into the audience and sang in the crowd (he was right next to Jodie!) He was also climbing all over the booths, too.
-He said that througout the night he was going to try to look every single person in the eye to make a point that they "really "f***ing appreciate us being there."
-When they came out for the encore, Dino looked out at the crowd and said "You guys are f***ing CRAZY." Something along the lines of this was the best time they've had so far this tour. And the "chicks were hotter", too.
-Someone right next to the stage grabbed Marty's pants (trying to take them off! woot!) and he just stood there for a second and was laughed and said, "WOAH."
-When they first came on, he was scanning the crowd for Suzie McNeil, who was standing in the back of the room. Poor thing, I hope she could see! She's really short!
There are more but my brain is overwhelmed so I know I'm missing details! I don't remember the exact set list, but they performed for about an hour or so. The crowd was insane, singing, dancing..it was such an amazing experience. Much more so than Gibson. I can't even articulate it properly. Man.
Afterwards, everyone gathered out side (basically we got kicked out because the club was closing) and it was really cool to meet and talk with the other fans. Everyone was SO COOL! Bobby came out for a few minutes and dear God, that man is STUNNING in person. His smile is the most beautiful I think I've ever seen. He looked at me a couple of times, because I think he knew I was trying to work my way over, which I finally did. BUT, right before I got up to him (i was next in line!) to get a photo, he got swept away back into the club. SO CLOSE! Arghhhhh.
I saw Marty inside talking to Suzie, but didn't know that we could actually go back in there or I so would've. I was expecting the guys to come out and hang with us for a bit, so I, along with everyone else, was still waiting outside in the freezing cold. After about 45 minutes, the club completely cleared out and Marty walked outside to get into the car. I was standing right next to it, and my heart was racing, thinking, "oh my god. this is my chance!". But when he came out, I think he was a little taken aback that there were so many fans still waiting. He looked like he felt REALLY BAD that he had to leave so quickly. You could see it all over his face. Aww. A few people trampled me to get to him, and he gave like two autographs. I was so close that I could touch his face if I wanted, but he was in such a hurry that it was impossible to get a moment. I couldn't believe I had actually missed my chance. TWICE!
Basically, my overall opinion is that these guys are the real deal, man. They're so into their fans, and creating a bonding experience with everyone there. Their energy and passion are so contagious and inspiring, and now I don't see how I can enjoy ANY other music because nothing and no one will ever compare. Ever. I'm a little depressed today because I had it in my head that last night was THE night to actually meet them. Oh, my heart.
I got some pictures, but people were getting kicked out for using their cameras. Jodie and a few others were fearless so they have tons of photos to share, I'm sure. Either way, I had a most excellent time and will never forget it!!
I'm sure everyone else has more interesting recaps...sorry. I just wanted to share a little piece of mine.
XO

Went to both shows and agree, Viper Room was a once in a lifetime (hopefully not) experience. I did like the way Marty spurred on everyone when he ran into the crowd and climbed up singing and later said something like "get off your butts LA!' The Viper room was just awesome and sounded great - they really do sound better live and the energy level is incredible. Suzie was behind me too and at the end tried to move up with her friend holding Suzie's hand up, trying to get Marty's attention. Waited outside and missed the meet part, only saw Billy and Marty get into their SUV. Next time!

I dropped the cheap disposable camera off at the 1 hour photo place. I only got about 7 shots at the Viper Room and I don't know how they'll turn out. I had to keep putting the camera away because a guy kept coming into the audience with a flash light and taking camera away. So I would snap a shot and then quickly put it in my pocket and then have my arms in the air so as he came by--he'd be looking at someone else. Hopefully they'll turn out--we'll know in a couple of hours.
At the gibson--there was a security guy around me the whole time and there were empty seats next to me and in front of me so I didn't take shots there but I know others have photos from there.

AMAZING!!!
so this was my first show to see the guys live, i was fortunate enough to get an extra ticket from Kelly and was able to meet about 25 or 30 more Marty/Lovehammer fans at Rainbow on sunset...it was awesome...
The show at viper was indescribeable!!! I was scared to take pictures for the fear of getting thrown out but it looked like stobe lights were going off so i took my chances and took a few. I will try to post them...I'll have to ask someone how.
Marty was awesome!!! As everyone said he was looking intensely at everyone in the crowd, and we were all singing along and dancing and doing the waving motions with out arms....you could tell they were really loving it as much as we were.
My feet were numb from not being able to move them the crowd was so tight but they could have fallen off and I wouldn't have cared...The guys were in awe on how excited we all were.
I desperately wanted to meet Marty, I met Dino, he was very nice. I'm not really an autograph type of girl, I would rather have a picture or a "moment", Finally when the guys were getting into their SUV Marty was right in front of the car door signing an autograph and I handed him one of my business cards (make-up artist) and he just automatically started to sign it, and I told him....that it was for him to keep, AND he looked at me so sweetly and said "thank you so much", and leaned in and GAVE ME A KISS!!! (now that, that I'll take) ha ha.
I am hooked...I mean I was before, but now that I have seen them live I can see why I met so many people here in LA that came from every other state to see them. Now the question is... where so I go next??
Thank you Marty, thank you LOvehammers... Thank you again Kelley.

Thanks for all the great reviews. You all are so lucky especially at a venue like the Viper Club. I think I will try to hold out for another concert like this. Had to cancel my KC concert to see them and INXS. I am sure the LH's will be headliners soon.....I will wait for this.

im here the show was beyond awesome I just made it home. Left LA at 6am/
Where to start... God it was awesome I am not A Bobby girl, A marty girl or anyone person's girl I am just a freaking complete hammerhead that loves each band member and the music. I have never grooved so hard.
I have pic's of Jeremy on stage with the guys and his autograph also: I got time with all the guys but Marty.. But when he came in the ground he did touch my face.
I got more Dino at this show then any other and he is beyond awesome.
These guys Rock.
