Holy crap!! Both your pictures are freaking KILLER! WAY WAY better than mine. I was scared to take them after the Rob Zombie looking bouncer threatened to cut off my testicles if I dare snap another photo, so I had to be careful!!! Here are just three more for the night, I have to go to bed and will deal the rest tomorrow.....

I am buzzed on jack daniels right now, and just took a shower, I wore that Kiss shirt from last night all day today because it's got the SUZIE SMELL!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am NEVER washing that shirt! Or wearing it for that matter....... OK, here is my review, I submitted it to Cindy K for the site. MARTY CASEY & LOVEHAMMERS – 1/27/2006, VIPER ROOM, HOLLYWOOD, CA. When I first heard last month that the Lovehammers were going to play a midnight show at the legendary Viper Room club in California, I just knew I had to go!! Especially after seeing them live for the first time at the Paramount Theater in Seattle on January 19th. I was fortunate enough to meet 3 Lovehammers that night. (Everyone but Dino!) And I got my picture taken with them and also some autographs and I gave Marty Casey a dog tag that I picked up for him at a Naval Air base after Thanksgiving. The dog tag is silver and it says “Marty” in black down the front. Marty really liked the dog tag and has wore it at every single show on the tour so far. It’s really cool when you see him wearing something you gave him. Ok, back to the Viper Room. Just prior to the show, about 24 Hammerheads gathered at the Rainbow Bar and Grill on Sunset and had good drink, food and conversation for a couple of hours. We then hopped over to the Viper Room. When I got inside, I about stopped dead in my tracks because the place was TINY!! The Viper Room has a small stage. It was at this point that I realized that this show was going to be something “special”! The venue was adamant about NO PHOTOGRAPHY. But people had their cameras anyhow. There was some band playing on stage when we got there, and I had no idea who they were, but they were not bad. The vocals were barely there, something was not right. If the vocals were clearer, I would have enjoyed this band more. But two songs and they were done and then it was time to GET HAMMERED!! Well, the boys were late. I stood about half way back and was standing there and thinking I just had to get closer, so I somehow wormed my way to the front of the stage and stood amongst fellow hammerheads. We were packed in like sardines. It felt like you could not fit another person in without a shoehorn. And boy was the heat sweltering in the Viper Room. Thank god I left my left my leather coat at the hotel room. The beer I was drinking helped cool me off some. But we had to stand there for over a half hour until the Lovehammers arrived. They played a show with INXS the same night at the Gibson Amphitheater at Universal Studios. So they were held up somehow. But they were rushed in, in pairs. First Bobby and Billy came in and went behind the stage curtain. I had a perfect view of this. The crowd cheered on when the guys came in. Some girls were peeking under the curtain to get a glimpse of a Lovehammer. Marty was the last to come inside and legions of girls screamed at the top of their lungs and also screamed out “MARTY!!!” They tuned their instruments behind the curtain for what seemed like and ETERNITY and then the show began with a bang. Billy’s opening guitar riff from Straight as an Arrow started them off and running and Marty started jumping all around. He would sing in the middle, and then go over to the left hand side, and then to the right hand side (Where I was standing) and he would try to make eye contact with everyone in the crowd. It was really cool. After Straight as and Arrow, Marty said sorry for being late or something to that effect. Girls were pawing at Marty’s feet, legs, thighs, belt and stomach and he looked down at them grinning ear to ear and said “C’mon ladies, this is not a Sex Show!” and some distant voice yelled “It COULD Be”. They played for almost 70 minutes I think. A little longer than the Seattle show, and plus they played 4 different songs that they didn’t play in Seattle. Marty really connected with the crowd and said, “I recognize some faces, some faces I do not recognize but would like to get to know those faces better” and then he said “He was going to try to get eye contact with everyone there at least once”. After a break between songs Marty asked “Has anyone seen Suzie McNeil, Suzie are you out there” and I looked around and saw 4 or 5 hands raised in the crowd. Marty wore the black t-shirt with Speed Freaks, Hollywood (in red), which he took off (after the girls were begging for him to take it off the whole show). He turned away from the crowd and took the shirt off and threw it and then turned around and all he had around his neck was the dog tag I gave him in Seattle. It was a memorable moment for sure. Other highlights were when some fans passed their bra and panties up on stage. The band REALLY looked like they enjoyed that. Towards the end, they played “This Town” and had Jeremy up on stage playing second guitar. Jeremy is their merchandise guy and a very good friend to the band. Someone told me he used to be in Brides of Destruction, but I am not sure about that. The Lovehammers owned the night at the Viper Room. The sound was PERFECT. It was LOUD and CLEAR. I really wished that they would have played for 2 hours. I so wanted to hear more of Ultrasound. They played “Throw my Head” though and that was a treat for me. Every song they played the crowd sang along as well as yours truly. It was a very cool thing to witness. In Seattle they opened with Ultrasound and played “Ring of Fire” (the Johnny Cash song). At the Viper Room, they played the very dark Stones cover “Paint it Black”, which gave me total chills from head to toe. I did not want the night to end, but it did sadly come to an end. They only did one encore which was better than none. So we hung around and went outside for air and I ran into Suzie McNeil and told her that I loved her. I asked her if I could have my picture with her and she said “Sure”. She was a very sweet person. I now know why Dave Navarro coined her “Sweet Suzie McNeil”. Some of the Lovehammers surfaced as well and I got to talk to Bobby Kourelis and get my picture taken with him and I had him sign the cover of the new CD for me. I then met Dino Kourelis for the first time and he knew who I was already. I got my picture with Dino too. Marty, I guess, was around the back of the Viper very briefly and I talked to some very lucky hammerheads that were able to meet him and get an autograph and a quick picture. It was all over around 2:10 am when we watched Bobby and Dino and two other guys drive off in a SUV on their way back to the bus to head to Las Vegas for the next INXS show. I want to personally thank Marty and Lovehammers for making my trip to L.A. worth every single penny. I breathed in the experience and will never forget it for as long as I live. This band RULES in concert. I highly recommend that everyone goes to one of their shows. It’s like amazing beyond words. In closing I want to send a shout out to all the crazy fellow hammerheads that made it to the Viper Room and thanks for being so real.
