Loved reading these reviews. Please read this section, knowing that it is my opinion and not meant to offend anyone. Now I must add that I had a hard time reading all the Ted bashing. Whether of not LH's appreciate his mannerism with the fans, he is still their tour manager and working very hard to keep things together for the band. I had the opportunity to chat with Ted before the m&g and talked with him about his job, other bands he has worked with, etc. He is actually a very nice person with a difficult job. It is never easy to be the person people don't like because of what your job dictates. There were clearly rules established for the m&g's so that all the fans could have a moment with the guys and get a cd signed. I would guess part of the reason for the m&g's is promotional to get people who never saw or heard of LH's to go buy the CD and get it signed. Now many of us have the cd (or multiple copies ) so bringing an older cd liner, MOMM, L'strange, Ultrasound for signatures was seen also. (I noticed that lots of people had other items signed, but they needed to be "out &ready" as Ted kept drilling to everyone) At the shows I attended, Ted only yelled when someone was taking extra time and holding up the line. I was told to move along, and did. Even though we each only got a moment at the m&g, remember that the guys have been touring since January, playing a hard 45 min set, then sitting for up to 2 hours to meet each fan. Earlier in the tour I read that the m&g's were more relaxed and people got more one on one time with the guys and opps for pictures, but then some of the m&g's had to be closed (venue security issues) before everyone had their chance with the band. Ted is working the line so that everyone gets their moment for a quick greeting and a signature. I am grateful to have had a moment than none at all. This may not be what LH's are used to. They love their fans and although I can not speak for them I bet they would probably be happy to spend hours hanging with everyone. But the venue security only allows so much time for this to happen, crowds, fire hazard, etc. I personally took the time to thank Ted for all he is doing for the band and keep them safe on the road. As Dino would say "keep it positive!"

You're right, Velvet. Ted is just doing his job. He was nice to us at the Charlotte show. We did what he asked us to do and we all got our moments with the guys. He runs a tight ship but that's his job.

ok, I may have been a bit tough on Ted in my review but it is really all in fun. I even said that he was only doing his job which I know can't be an easy one but I definantly think at times he could have been a bit nicer. What he did on the bus made me laugh. I only wanted to kick him cause he was cutting off my Marty moment.
In case anyone missed it, I went back and added pics to my story.

Beautiful! I LOVED your review and the picture of you going in for Bobby is priceless!! The look on his face! He doesn't know what to think... very sweet! Have you EVER seen a band where EVERY member is SO ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Marty love introduced us all to them but since I have also fallen for Dino, Bobby and Billy! Billy's curls just SEND ME!!! He is a doll! What awesome reviews/stories/pics! Thanks to everyone for sharing... I so hope I have my opportunity to say 'hi' in MN. I will be sure to have all my ducks in a row so Ted won't yell at me!!

INXS--JD is Gross That's all I have to say. OMG!! I feel ya on the "gross" thing - and I told Dan later that I felt bad for the mic stand. Actually, it was after that, that I kinda lost respect for JD totally and didn't want to see anymore INXS!!

The purse is great! In retrospect, I'm sorry I didn't have something with me that made it clear during the m & g how much I love these guys, especially because I got all tongue tied.
As far as Ted is concerned, I have to agree with velvet ... we are very fortunate that MCLH are making themselves so available to us, and they do it night after night, which I think is amazing. There's an article linked to off the MC.org home page where Marty says they already have to register at hotels under assumed names because fans are trying to find out where they are staying. Showing them the love is one thing, stalking is something else. All it takes is for one out of control fan to screw things up for the rest of us. Maybe Ted needs to change his style, but it is his job to protect the band, which is only going to get more difficult as time goes on.

Plus you have to remember that Ted gets really annoyed and freaked out at Marty when he gets to climbing on things!! So, I'm sure Ted is just as schizoid as we are at him for being a so-called pain in the behind!!
(Have you ever SEEN the way Ted's veins pop in his forehead when Marty starts climbing?? It's really funny!!)

Hey Atlanta Fans, Just want to thank you guys so much for your pix and reports. Every time I think I have heard it all, seen it all, it just gets better --these stories were great. And I'm still lmao over the look on Bobby's face when Beauty told him he'd better hug her!!! and not jealous of all of the bus fans, really. i'm fine....

Thanks, Velvet for the comments re: Ted. His job is a hard one. He has to look out for the boys. What we want as fans is not always possible. Ted has to keep the line moving so that the greatest number of fans can get a Lh moment.
Re: getting things signed I think it's definitely a good thing to bring MoMM, L'Strange, or Ultrasound CDs, or any Lh T-shirts that you have. You can buy them through Lh.com or from Dan on ebay. As velvet said, a lot of people are getting the free postcards (that Street Teamers give away) signed instead of buying a CD. Ted is just trying to look out for our guys. We all want as many CD's sold as possible. We want to see them at the top of the charts, where they belong.
So I think we all need to cut Ted and the security guards some slack. Their job is a tough one. But, their goal is to protect Lh. In this day and age, crazies are everywhere. We want our boys safe. :~)

Vickie that's awesome! I knew I should have stuck with you! LOL
As for Ted, Ted should do his job more politely and I won't change that opinion. No amount of doing his job had anything to do with sneering at me about whether or not I bought an album.

Your opinions are yours to have. It's a free country. In your own post, you say: Ted says to me, "Oh, you didn't buy a CD?" That doesn't sound too terrible to me. Neither does his asking you to keep the line moving. Perhaps Ted was a bit too intense, but it has been a hectic tour. Perhaps, he could have been more polite, but that can be said of everybody. I'm glad you enjoyed the concert and got your moment with the boys. If someone wasn't in charge and keeping an eye on everything, then those moments wouldn't happen.
