Great pics yerbamate! Still hoping someone got a shot of the moon that night! Linda left out the part about why she is thinking about the walker. As we were moving through the crowd after the show we were stopped by an older gentleman (about 150 years old) that said he was a deadhead and asked us if we were too. Linda was a bit taken aback but we told him NO we were HAMMERHEADS! Really got us thinking about a few years down the road and how it would look if we are still chasing LH around the country. Guess we should be a little encouraged by the fact that you can never be too old! That's okay Linda. I have a few years left. I can pick you up from the nursing home and won't mind helping you with your walker as long as you can keep up while I run for the front row!! Heck...maybe medicare will pay for one of those cool motorized scooter/wheelchairs so you won't be too wore out to enjoy the show.

We Deadheads aren't THAT old. And remember, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison (three of the all-time greats) died before Marty was even born. They all would have been over 60 if they were alive today. A song from each one was covered on RS (badly, in all cases). And there would have been no Michael Hutchence if not for Morrison. If you ever see footage of the Doors, it could have been shot yesterday. Okay, off to take my Geritol now.

Wendy, It wasn't the Deadhead part I felt bad about--it was the fact that he zoomed in on me so quickly as being of his generation!! The man looked ancient!! However, as I told CJ later, I had my home made T-shirt on with the pic of Marty hanging from the rafters at Joe's. The man pointed to that as he asked me if I was a Deadhead, so I figured if he could look at Marty and mistake him for Jerry Garcia, then maybe his eyesight wasn't so good!! Made me feel a little bit better...... On another note, speaking of the late (great) Janis Joplin, we caught some of Jerry Lee Lewis the other night, and mostly had a good time listening, however...........could NOT listen to him sing Bobby McGee. In my mind, that belongs to Janis, and only Janis!

Ah, now I get it. If he mistook Marty for Jerry Garcia, then it means it isn't only his eyesight that is failing.
And Jerry Lee Lewis doing Bobby McGee? Ouch!
I still find it hard to believe that Janis, Jimi, and Jim all died at the ripe old age of 27. So did Brian Jones. Weird ... all of them had at least one name that started with a "J" ...
