GOT THE NEW CD!!!!!!!

I got my CD today -- So Excited!! I still can't believe these guys personally autographed 3000 copies of the "special booklet" for the fans -- who else ever does stuff like that!

The CD is awesome -- I love it.

I'm glad it came today, I was getting worried (I know, I know, it was only released "officially" today -- but I couldn't help it)

The CD and signed booklet arrived in separate envelopes (yellow bubble envelopes) from Sony in GA. I live in the middle of no-where in Eastern Oregon so hopefully all you NW fans out there get your CDs today too. Good Luck!

Got my cd today..WOOHOOOO!!! I guess Billy was taking a nature break when my booklet was signed because his autograph isn't there. I LOVE the cd, of course. It's a little too "studio-ed" (for lack of better term) in some parts for my taste but it still rocks! Too bad the little thing at the end of "Riddle" isn't on the cd, I love that part. Good thing I have the dvd for back up. This is the first cd I have ever owned that I love every song...usually I have 3-6 faves & skip the rest. It is/was a beautiful day here so I was out & about with the windows down & LH cranked all the way up.

i got some copies at best buy today but it was in the back shelf made them put all of them in the front by the new cds it was funny i think they thought i was working for the band lol

Every once in a while, you can have just a perfect moment in time. I do believe this is one. My DH got a Bose Home Stereo System for Christmas. My CD came in the mail today. And DH won't be home for another hour or so. So here I sit, pasta, wine, and the guys. What a moment.

I notice some differences in this and the MOMM, but it all sounds great to me.

Loving the new CD! I was going to go out at Midnight to get it, but didn't know if it would be stocked yet. Knew in advance my store would have 3 copies( I work there)but some of our other locations had as many as 12 or as few as 2 or none! What is going on with that?? A friend from another store called me around 8 this am, saying the electronics/music guy in her store knew nothing about it, had never heard of them. That of course seems so strange to me! How could he not know!!? Anyway, got to work early, found the vendor opening a box, she too didn't know anything, I spotted one in the box, and made her find me the other 2, so I scored all 3!! I love the cd! I was trying to decipher the credits, do all of the guys collaborate to write these? Congrats to Amy and Cindy. I hadn't read this thread until I got the cd, (jealousy) and saw their names on the thank yous! Wonderful! Someone's been paying attention to all of their hard work!

Don't read this if you haven't got the CD and u don't want it spoiled or anything. Here's my honest opinion on the CD. I LOVE it so don't take the criticism to harshly...cuz I love the CD and will listen to it 24/7 lol BELIEVE ME LOL Again, DISCLAIMER...this is simply my opinion, i'm definitely not a music expert. I just like debating and stuff, and I love to review albums like this. This is JUST my opinion. And

1. I understand what u guys were saying about the "smoothing" out of the songs. It iiiisss gonna take some getting used to. But it helps that I understand why they did it. Some songs were in need of some smoothing out, some weren't, some were smooth out a little "too" much. But I can see why they did all that...to appeal to those where are hearing them for the first time, to sound a bit cleaner...ect...

2. I honestly think the best songs on the album were the second half of it. LOL I like the whole second half better than I did the first. (tracks 6-11)

Okay Casualty= It's a nice song, I dunno, its a tiiiny bit on the corny side (IMHO) but it's nice! It'll probably grow on me.

Hold On= This was okay. Liked the original better actually, but this is cool too.

Trees= LOVE IT. Obviously

Rain On The Brain= Once again this was okay

The Tunnel= I dunno, I know a lot of people liked the extra lyrics in the chorus, but I thought it sounded a bit to "cluttered"....I dunno how to explain it. This was one of my fav songs from the Lovehammers, but I don't really care for this new version. It's not bad, I just prefer the original. Oh, I did like "I found ur, hiding places, in the bedroom..." lines...very nice LOL

Eyes Cant See= Gotta get used to it being smoothed out like that. And my favorite part...the music break down and the "face to face" whispering was taken out which kind of bummed me out lol Everything else was cool

The Riddle= No complaints! Love every minute of the song! (wish the "yeee haw!" was still there, but that's completely cool) LOL

Clinic= Again, no complaints! I think this is the best song off the album, the rawest sounding (if that made sense). I loveeeeee Marty's vocals in it!! WOW!

Call Of Distress= Again, the impact in the chorus was toned down, kind of a bummer. I loved the break down at the end though "you, my room will remind you..." IT had a different sound. Love it.

Straight As An Arrow= No complaints. Love this song...completely...totally LOL

Clouds= It's growing on me! I like the new sound with this song, a lot

So there you have it. I'd love to hear you all's opinions on the album on a song by song basis.

Yes I was thinking that while I was listening to it. I realized how "attached" i was to the original. But if THIS CD were my "original", I probably wouldn't like MOMM or L'Strange as much.

Got my copy at the Tower Records - $11.99 - on Sunset Blvd. in W. Hollywood. I called before going in - they received 30 copies. It’s displayed under new releases, in alphabetical order (C, not L), but not at eye level. However, anyone going there will be able to find it. :-)

Love every song on the album but I do miss the Face to Face part on Eyes Can't see-it was my favorite part of the song. And I agree about the Tunnel. Too much mixing going on. But it is smooth-more mainstream I guess. I still love everything they do but I like it raw too-LOVE CLINIC. What am I saying?!?!?! I haven't heard a Lovehammer song yet I that I didn't love! Now if I could only afford (ebay) to get my hands on Ultrasound.

Hi, haven't been on this site for a while, I was trying to patiently wait for the cd to come out. Today I walked into my local little music store and there it was!!!!! YEA!!!! I bought it immediately!! It's awesome. Now I hope I hear more of it on Los Angeles Radio... It's really good....I am so excited..

I like the new versions, but also the old versions. I kind of like the fact that we have the "original" songs in their original state, like having the pilot that kicked a series off. Hopefully, some people will also buy the other ones to hear the raw sound, and that adds up to more sales for the guys.

Ok.. I got my CD..yesterday.. and haven't stopped listening to it yet..

I have it in my truck.. so when I am out..I can listen to the new versions..

and then I have the old versions.. d/led onto my ipod..which I walk with everyday...

I like the fact they are different.. because I feel like I have double the songs .. and what could possibly be wrong with that? LOL!

I think it's way better then the old versions. Before I thought the songs were good but they sounded incomplete to me like something was missing. I knew that once they were recorded professionally in a major studio that there sound would really come together and it has. I liked all the songs before but now I love them.

Ok, I didn't get my CD's yesterday either. I pre-ordered them from Sony (two separate orders). I got the shipping confirmation on the 19th. The mail doesn't run for another hour or so. I've waited too long!

ETA: I know I've already said mine haven't arrived yet, but I just needed to complain a little. lol

And, if you go to a store that doesn't have any, ask to speak to the dept. manager and ask them when they will be getting some more. Let the stores know that the Lh CD will sell!
