Amy I have to disagree on one thing a lot of us knew them before Rockstar and maybe the music is all for them but Marty needs to remember that without his fans he has nothing. I do not mean to sound rude but as with any business without a customer you have nothing. I am really sad to see that he will be touring with this other band because it is no longer something that I can do with my kids. They really looked up to these guys!! And I think the fact that the lovehammers have been together for so long going and doing this is really a slap in the others face. Someone needs to remind Marty not to burn bridges~~Rockstar, solo tour and now this how much more can he expect his band mates to take??

Amy - . I wrote the exact same post about 2 hours ago and then deleted it, not wanted to provoke anymore responses.... But it seems to continue. We can't control how we feel, only what we do about it. And to the person that is so sad about losing music, where did it go. I have 45-50 Marty Casey Lovehammer songs on my iPod. They will be with me forever. And L'Strange just arrived in the mail so I have it on CS as well.. yeah. So let this board be about supporting Marty Casey. So I am going to start a new thread for us to declare our support of Marty.

all i know is my favorite band is no more. Please ...... stop making assumptions. Marty is spending time right now with L.A. Guns doing an album and then a tour. It is not written anywhere that Lovehammers is "no more." Please just sit back and enjoy Marty's new creative outlet. If Marty would have billed it this way saying hey I'm going on tour with LA Guns b/c they're in need of a singer it would be one thing but he said he "joined" LA Guns as the "new lead singer". I think I'm pretty right at *assuming* he won't be back with LH's unless this gig falls through and they take him back. Also, music IS lost. I doubt we'll ever hear Guns or C'mon Baby recorded by LH's and they are the only ones I want to hear playing it. I'm done complaining... it's not going to do any good. Good luck Marty in whatever you choose to do. Thanks for being on Rockstar so we could see what an amazing front man you are and for turning us on to your former band where you all were amazing together. I'm so happy I was at Hammerfest seeing you and the guys ROCKING OUT together playing the songs I love. Best of luck

Scott --we are so on the same page. Personally, I would love to hear Marty sing about sex. Drugs and Rock n roll are good too!

I think we all need to sit tight and see what's coming down the pipe for both the Guns and Lovehammers. We don't know if this is a temporary situation or what. Marty didn't say LH was breaking up or that he was leaving them, just that he was joining another band, one that happens to have a good friend of his on bass. I think no one really knows just what is going on-this was all very sudden for just about everyone involved. I'm not saying people can't be shocked, surprised, angry, pissed, whatever you happen to be feeling, but I think we all need to sit tight and wait for more information before we pass judgment on this situation. Both bands haven't said too much about the whole situation, so I think we, as fans, should wait for more information about the directions the bands, especially the Lovehammers, are headed. DITTO

I doubt we'll ever hear Guns or C'mon Baby recorded by LH's and they are the only ones I want to hear playing it. Baby C'mon will be on the new LA Guns album as per the Manno interview last night. Here's the link: http://www. q101. com/blogs/home. aspx?BlogID=84 I'm kinda sad about this, as it was already an LH song for me since they had played it at several shows.

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I registered as soon as I found out that marty casey joined LA Guns. I've been a fan of LA Guns since 1987. and reading these posts have been a real eye opener. I'm sorry, but I've never heard of the Love hammers, and I see that they have some very loyal fans. but please give LA Guns a chance. coming from an LA Guns fan, I think Marty will be the perfect singer for LA Guns. trust me, you are going to see an awesome live show, and will be impressed by Tracii's guitar skills. he was born to play the guitar. I'm very excited about this.

Tony! We are a little possessive of Our Marty. I have listened to LA Guns music and I agree he'll be perfect.

Tony..... the idea of Marty working with LA Guns has been growing on me more and more as these few days have gone by. There are a few LA Guns songs that i know that i am really looking forward to hearing with Marty's voice.... this is with no disrespect at all to LH because i still think Marty and LH are THE PERFECT MATCH!! I'm just a little excited to hear this different direction he is going in as well..... A little change is good every now and then.......

A telling post by Dan on the other forum:
"Hey, Palari, I think you are a great individual, but you have no idea what you are talking about. Marty lost the reality contest, what he went out and got was a missed chance at fronting INXS. Do you think he would have turned that down if he won? Believe me, he would have ditched them in a heartbeat.....just like he did this time."

Tine -- enough with the negativity! You can't control what other people do and say, you can only control how you react to them.

I thought this was martycasey.org and I thought this topic was cut the guy some slack?
I think that if people are unwilling to support Marty's decision and the path that he is taking, there are plenty of other message boards out there.

Well Said Chi town!!! I started this thread for people to TRY to understand Marty's choice, but i guess like Amy said, you can't control what people say around here, only how you react to it, so my reaction will continue to be as supportive of Marty as I can possibly be.
Tine, i understand how passionate you are about Marty and LH, but like i said earlier in a thread, people need to just digest stuff and think before they speak. We need to be better than some of these people spewing hatred around. We know who the true Marty and LH fans are and who aren't. I dont' think Marty or LH would want us bickering back and forth like this.

OK, well I've had a think and a read of this thread & many others around here and I've calmed down a bit since my initial reaction! I'll listen to the stuff released with LA Guns and give it a go. I wish Marty & the LH guys the same as I try to wish everyone; love, luck & happiness.

Long ago I remember having a Japanese import CD of a L.A. Guns live concert. Now, if I could only remember where it is.....
