Well Said Chi town!!! I started this thread for people to TRY to understand Marty's choice, but i guess like Amy said, you can't control what people say around here, only how you react to it, so my reaction will continue to be as supportive of Marty as I can possibly be. I don't see anyone trying to understand anything. All opposing views are immediately shot down. Please explain how being a cheerleader helps anyone to "understand" anything?

Welcome to tony!
It is always nice to have some new blood over here. Thank you for coming and posting as a L. A. Guns fan. We are anxious to learn more about the band and the fans. We really appreciate your willingness to give Marty a chance. Can't wait to get your feedback on the new songs and the new sound.

Remember when Brad Pitt left Jennifer Aniston for Angelina Jolie? Oh my....Brad...how could you do such a thing? Jennifer was everyone's "FRIEND"....and you two were a match made in heaven.
Apparently ....not!
Did Brad make some bad choices in movie roles, sure...but it was his decision, he saw something in the role and wanted to challenge himself.
And my point...you may be asking yourself.
Well Brad the Actor is still supported as are both of these women. Brad the man, needed a new life...and he got it. Do we curse him for that? No...cuz you only get one go-a-round in this life and you might as well be happy and be true to yourself.
Try to seperate this all.
Marty, the singer of a band called the Lovehammers gave 20 years of his life to the group, these guys are childhood friends, they made great music together, they had their ups and their downs, the best of times and maybe even the worst of times.
Marty must have been in turmoil...trying to decide what to do. He put himself in a situation where he knew he would shock people, hurt some, anger others...but at the end of the day, he is a man, a man with a talent, who decided his path should go in a different direction...and who are we to stop him??
Sure, don't get me wrong...I feel awful for Bobby, Dino, Billy and all involved with the Lovehammer family, it must feel like a marriage falling apart. I sure hope they can heal and always be friends....
Do I like this decision of his? Doesn't matter really, does it? Won't rant and rave that my feelings should be satisfied at the expense of someone's life!!!
What is a fan? Someone who supports a talent. Marty is very talented, nothing has changed there.
I know nothing of the Guns...but I'm willing to see what they offer. I will not judge Marty's decision...I don't walk in his shoes.

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I registered as soon as I found out that marty casey joined LA Guns. I've been a fan of LA Guns since 1987. and reading these posts have been a real eye opener. I'm sorry, but I've never heard of the Love hammers, and I see that they have some very loyal fans. but please give LA Guns a chance. coming from an LA Guns fan, I think Marty will be the perfect singer for LA Guns. trust me, you are going to see an awesome live show, and will be impressed by Tracii's guitar skills. he was born to play the guitar. I'm very excited about this. Thanks Tony - we're hoping it's a good match too. I hear LA Guns fans are pretty loyal/rabid/passionate also. This may make for some awesome shows...good band, crazy fans... I'm looking forward to hearing the new music.

To quote a man that we admire:
I might be lost in my hands heartbroken But my aim is true I might be long gone but I'm still taking chances Trying to get home to you
There's got to be something more to the riddle Do do do and yes it do And Im trying hard to understand...yea There's got to be something more to the middle Do do do and yes it do And I'm trying hard to make it back
I have a choice listen to those voices Singing in my head And I heard what they said change or you'll be dead So I spread my wings... to fly
I might be lost nowhere to be found I might be somewhere in the middle of doubt I might be low but always high I might be... yea
They played this after the interview last night - thought it was appropriate.

Bravo, Henry!!! Thanks for posting that.
Here's another:
"Nobody's safe 'round here no more Drag this lonely boat from the shore Cut the ropes that bind me To save the ones behind me Nobody's safe 'round here no more
No time to wait and see I live this life for me
(Chorus) Rise and fall Climb the walls Won't stop till I have it all Persistence Resistance One man can make a difference The battle's inside of me The fight's begun but not yet won And I won't become One more casualty
The need to find my destiny Drop my anchors set me free You don't know how it feels Till your hand's on the wheel Drop my anchors set me free
<chorus>
Nobody says we're free We're drifting through the questions Swimming for the answers Try to keep my sanity Till I reach my destination And bring you here with me And I'll make you believe I have control But if I lose myself How can I save you?
<chorus> "
They played that song before the interview started. I've bolded some parts for emphasis.

It's funny because I thought as an interviewer she stunk, but she certainly knew the right songs to pick.

LOL....Yeppers she got slammed for being too laid back...she had good questions, just seemed to lack enthusiasm. I thought she was tipping afew at first..... She did pick very appropriate songs for the interview!
