It makes me kind of sad that it's just Marty they interviewed. I love the man and all, but I want to hear from all the boys.

I love reading Marty's entries-makes me realize how much I miss reading his blogs on RSINXS. He made me laugh out loud talking about Jodie following the bus-what a girl. I can't believe they are going to be in People magazine-so excited !!!!! I swear, this week I've been spending more time checking this board then I have spent breathing. My husband says I've been "Hammersmashed" and he is so right !

For those who don't like to travel to other sites, here's what Marty had to say about the encounter w/ Jodie
We left the radio station and drove for a couple of hours. When we pulled the bus over at a truck stop a girl ran up and said she had followed us all the way from LA to get autographs. We couldn't believe it. We thought she was insane.

LOLOLOL Marty said they thought I was insane...but I TOLD them I wasn't a stalker! This is too funny. Can't wait to see them tomorrow night. I think I might re-think what I'm wearing - might need a shirt that says "Insane Truckstop Jodie" lmao! sorry guys (LH), hope I didn't scare you cuz I have a feeling this is just the first in a series of bus seiges! Two words come to mind...Restraining Order.. Just kidding. I think they loved you or he wouldn't have mentioned it. It sounds like he doesn't understand why so many people love them. He's in for a surprise tomorrow night.

Here are the 3 diary entries that are there right now. January 26, 2006 The Tour Begins!
In all the years of big dreams and working twords getting a major label record deal and a world tour, It is actually even cooler than I even imagined. The tour started out with a bang when we arrived in Vancouver and there was a group of fans with signs and cameras flashing when we stepped off the plane. Felt like the Beatles landing at JFK Airport in the 60's. We had no idea there would be a crue there to welcome us and it made us feel GREAT! Thanks for that. We played that first night and the crowd was into the show and had a ton of energy. Alot of the Rockstar:INXS big wigs were there to wish us well on the tour. INXS came down to our dressing room after the show and we celebrated the beginning of the sold-out North American Tour and popped some champaign. INXS has been unbelievably cool to us every show and is schooling us in the art of touring. We have alot to learn. The second show was in Seattle and it was the first time I ever visited the town. I went for a run to check out the town and got stopped a couple of times by fans of the tv show. One girl was going to the show that night and had her Lovehammers MOMM in her disk changer. I'm still getting used to people knowing who I am. We had a phenominal show that night and got to hang-out with the fans for an hour or so after INXS finished their set. We rolled out of town that night after the show and headed to Oregon. We had these kick-ass hotel rooms that looked out over the ocean. Soemone had written WE LOVE THE LOVEHAMMERS in the sand outside of our room windows. It put a big smile on my face. We played a small room that night and then met fans outside the venue for a couple of hours. I love meeting all the fans and getting to hear your stories about the show and how far you came to see the performance. Lovehammers have the best fans. We are the luckiest band in the world. We have gotten so many great gifts that make our travels so much better. All the comfort foods from our Coast Host Valerie and journals and letters and bracelets, gift cards, medicine, teas and on and on. I got to hang with my uncle, aunt and cousin for a few hours and drive up the coast for an afternoon and chill on the beach. I liked the rainy weather cause the air was so clean. Breath it in. We headed to San Fran for a day off and our sound engineer Brian showed us around town. We went everywhere. I love that town. We played the next night in Oakland in the most unbelievable venue. Hand carved wooden walls that went up 75-100 feet. We had a small stage but we tore it up. After the show we met with fans and then partied with Tim Ferris on our bus. Andrew came by and we talked about how we were having the time of our lives. J.D. and I caught up for a bit backstage. We took-off for LA the next day. The day our CD was released. We did a ton of press stuff and I went to Tower on Sunset and bought a copy of the record. It was a great feeling to see it there on the shelf. I thought of how unreal life has been for the past year. The show, the major label deal, the tour and fans the new friends. My head is still spinnin. Billy bought the band dinner and we celebrated. So cool to go through this experience with lifelong friends. Helps keep your head on straight. The next morning we performed 4 songs on the Mark and Brian Show. These guys a great supporters of the band and some of the funniest and coolest dudes to hang with. They are a total trip. We were so psyched to meet them and do the show. Such a huge honor to be on the radio with them. We left the radio station and drove for a couple of hours. When we pulled the bus over at a truck stop a girl ran up and said she had followed us all the way from LA to get autographs. We couldn't believe it. We thought she was insane. Last night we played in Palo Caalifornia outside of San Diego. The crown was great and we signed copies of our cd's for a few hours. The venue was in a casino and it was cool cause everyone hang-out and gambled and would stop by to say hi to us. We got to meet lots of fans and actually talk for a minute. We almost sold-out of cd's we had with us and were really glad to hear everyone is digging the new album.
More later, I gotta do an interview with People Magazine and go to soundcheck. I can't believe Lovehammers are gonna be in People Magazine. Who would have ever have thought that. And the insanity continues.........

WHAT'S UP! Ok my psycho friends - I have some time before we hit soundcheck to let ya'll know what's been happening.
Quick recap: The record is out, the shows have been great, met tons of new fans and INXS has been awesome to us. So far, everything's really freakin' cool.

DUDES!!!!! HEY DUDES! This is the first time I am writing in this journal, but don't worry my little kiddies, I will get you caught up on everything! Ok, so the tour started in Vancouver - CRAZY!!!!!
We are in the airport and the drug dogs start sniffing me and won't leave. I was getting a little worried, but then realized that I was wearing the coat that I wear to take my dog Frankie out in,a nd usually have food in the pockets. Well, the dogs won't leave, but I just keep acting normal, and happen to go to the garbage to throw out my gum. Next thing I know, I have security all over me asking me what I threw out and asking me why the dogs are into me. I tell them about my dog food, and they say that their dogs are trained and don't act that way for food. I look down and see the dog eating a cookie off the ground - at that point, I knew I was ok. So they proceed to tell me that I have narcotics on me and that if I just tell them where they are, everything will be cool. Probbaly one of the funniest things I have EVER heard. They pretty much just picked me out cause they new I was in a rock band, and figured I may have something. Little did they know that I am not into any of that stuff - never have. They eventually took me in the back room, interogated me, then let me go after checking my bags, etc.
WOW!!!!! what a great start huh!?!?!?!?! So I walk out and see the rest of the guys talking to these great fans we met that came to welcome us to Canada. That made my day, and made any interogations worth the trip.
We did a few TV and press stuff the next day, then off to our first gig! I wasn't nerous about the show, but I am playing new gear - we all are, so I was hoping that all the shit work properly. Knowing we had Dan, Randy, and Brian (sound guy) running the show, I did feel a little more confident. We are also using in ear monitors for the first time, so that is totally different than what we are used to. Soundcheck was cool, we are haning out in the dressing room, and then 2 bottles of champaign are sent to our dressing room from INXS. THEN, those dudes come int o our dressing room to welcome us and let us know that they are there for us if we need anything. Honestly, the only thing I can say abotu these guys is CLASS. These dudes are legends, and they take time out of their busy schedule to make us feel comfortable?!?!?!?!??!?!?!? WOW, excuse my language, but all I can say is UNf**kING BELIEVABLE - these guys are the real deal folks.
The first show was ok. We are still trying to get used to the type of venue we are playing and we realize that the crowds dont really know our songs yet, cause the album isn't out, BUT I think people are starting to get it. We did Ring of Fire at soundcheck, and decided to play it - we have played it every night since............
Pretty much everything after that is a little cloudy - LOL!!!!! Gig, bus, gig, bus, gig is pretty much what we do every night. I think we are getting more comfortable playing, and the crowds are getting more comfortable with us as well. When we start the show, the house is about 90% full which we totally appreciate people giving us a chance. By the end of the show, people are getting what we are about, and I think most are into it.
We have been trying to meet all the fans/friends after each show any way we can. We have certain restrictions and have to be resectful of the rules, but we still need to be out there with everyone. SOOOOO, find us, cause we will be there - whether it is standing in the rain in Vancouver or Seattle, or in the Cabaret room in PALA, we will be there and we want to meet ALL OF YOU!!!!
MOST IMPORTANTLY - nobody has thrown any bras or underwear on stage yet - what is everyone waiting for!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
talk to you soon! we have a lot of Podcasts and pics that we want to share with all of you so stay tuned!!!!

Thanks so much DG for posting the diary entries here. It saves me the trip and cuts down on my surfing time (something that's turning into an issue now that I've got like 3 different commitments besides work). Hmmm underwear eh? What a coincidence, I just bought some news ones recently
