LOL... Well I don't know anything about "Martybucks", but I can help take care of the reputation points issue. Let me start you out with your first one, the second time around

Ok, I am not quite at my vacation destination point yet, but in anticipation of that very romantic place, a little something for the heart.
Say It
The three most important words in the universe We all desperately want to hear The purest most amazing gift To whisper in someone’s sweet ear
Sacred words that should not be said lightly For they are entwined in honor and trust When in earnest should be given freely Three words that define life’s quest
We have spent so much time dancing Not wanting to expose our true thoughts We use every other expression But have not dared to spill our hearts
Tomorrow is always a mystery Never knowing what each moment will bring I want you to know my true feelings I want you to know everything
With angst I muster the courage to tell you For no one should be embarrassed to say Those three words that mean everything Baby, I love you in the purest of ways

I really should be asleep, but lately my old habits have kicked in and I am staying up way too late at night (or morning...LOL). However, I am glad that I did. I had a chance to come here and read your new poem Boston Excellent piece... I love romance. 'Love'... such a simple word, yet a very complicated emotion. It lives as wild and free as the eagles that soar high in the skies. I always think it is a blessing when two people share that emotion for each other. Thank you for sharing that poem with us Boston. And, once more... safe travels to you and those sharing your journey. (* Fixed typo... before Blue brings out the red pen...LOL )

Thanks Steph, I am glad that you liked it. Yes, such important words and yet we so often are afraid to say them in fear of....what?
I fly at 9 am in the morning. I too have fallen back into bad late night hbits. Thanks for the good wishes. Have a good week.

Have a great trip Boston... I think sleep is over rated...LOL No. I have always found some comfort in the quietness that comes with the night. It is a different pace for me... and I have time to just think to myself. During the day, I am running around between tasks and just being 'Mom'. There is hardly any time for my mind to wander off. So, most of my writing has always been written in the night. You have a great week as well. Thanksgiving is coming I am cooking this year, here at my parents house. Last year I was in Chicago, trying to catch snowflakes in my mouth, while waiting for a taxi in front of Joe's Sports Bar...LOL So, my parents requested that I be put to work this year. I don't mind. My Grandma Lucy made our dinner every year, until she passed on when I was 9 years old. After that, I took over. She had raised me beside her in the kitchen, and taught me how to cook since I was really young. Having never wrote down a single recipe, I was shown how to cook her dishes from memory. Thanksgiving dinner is simple for me to make at this point. It is also something that I feel very blessed to be able to do for my family. And, it reminds me of my Grandmother... I miss her and my grandfather every single day. They always seemed to understand me... even when no one else did or tried to.

wow good job guys! i have had some catching up to do if i say so myself!! alot of poems since i last posted. sorry i havent had much time for my own creativity lately with school starting to get hectic and all. but i was able to come across this most amazing song today.... i find it fits very well now a days.... so here it is:
"If Today Was Your Last Day" By: Nickleback
My best friend gave me the best advice He said each day's a gift and not a given right Leave no stone unturned, leave your fears behind And try to take the path less traveled by That first step you take is the longest stride
If today was your last day And tomorrow was too late Could you say goodbye to yesterday? Would you live each moment like your last? Leave old pictures in the past Donate every dime you have? If today was your last day
Against the grain should be a way of life What's worth the prize is always worth the fight Every second counts 'cause there's no second try So live like you'll never live it twice Don't take the free ride in your own life
If today was your last day And tomorrow was too late Could you say goodbye to yesterday? Would you live each moment like your last? Leave old pictures in the past Donate every dime you have? Would you call old friends you never see? Reminisce old memories Would you forgive your enemies? Would you find that one you're dreamin' of? Swear up and down to God above That you finally fall in love If today was your last day
If today was your last day Would you make your mark by mending a broken heart? You know it's never too late to shoot for the stars Regardless of who you are So do whatever it takes 'Cause you can't rewind a moment in this life Let nothin' stand in your way Cause the hands of time are never on your side

Hello there stranger I was starting to worry about you. It's good to see you on the thread, and no worries about not posting something 'original'. Get through all your school stuff first, and whenever you have a chance, feel free to post. In the meantime, thank you for sharing that with us. Some lyrics are very much like poetry... that was one of them. Take care... and best wishes on all your studies and upcoming exams. I am sure that you will do great!

LOL... Well I don't know anything about "Martybucks", but I can help take care of the reputation points issue. Let me start you out with your first one, the second time around Thanks Steph! Really....no Martybucks? Martymoney? What about Martymiles? OK, enough of my silliness. Liz -- beautiful poem! Yes, the late hours of the night are more conducive for me as well. But my creativity does not operate on my schedule, nor does it even seem aware of a clock. LOL. So, here's something I just wrote: ReturnI want to return To the place where I was before. I didn’t think I’d ever look back With regret Once I walked out the door. I want to feel The way that I used to. My head clear My heart free Only wishing to be with you. It seemed right at the time. These plans, these visions All made sense in my mind. But darkness and loneliness were waiting by the roadside; Not what I was expecting to find. Lying naked and vulnerable On this stone-covered street. I know that there’s light But it’s hard to open my eyes And I struggle to get back on my feet. I am walking home…. A stranger in a familiar place. When I knock on the door Who will you see? Will you even recognize my face? I want you to let me in Again And lock the door so I can’t get out. This is how you can set me free; This is what my love’s about.

How thoughtful, Steph! I also do most of my grocery shopping at "SaveMart," so a gift card for there would work too! Here's one for the holiday: ThanksgivingBe careful you don’t end up burning the turkey-- You’ll wind up with something that’s tough like beef jerky. If you’re anything like me, when it comes to the stuffing You’ll eat WAY too much and disastrously puffing Up like a silly ol’ puffer fish. But what can I say… It’s my favorite dish. Marshmallows covering the candied sweet potatoes; Green beans, yellow corn, And my specialty – stewed tomatoes. Warm, fresh rolls with butter, Jellied cranberry sauce, Mashed potato mountains With the gravy spilling off. I’m wobbling from all that gobbling But I’ve got room for pie; What…who wants a big piece? I should take it? Don’t be shy? Despite all the indulging I’ll remember to give thanks; And oh yes…there’s that other thing -- I mustn’t forget to wear LOOSE pants!

LOL@ Blue and Iwo.... I kinda have to agree with Iwo... I am not a stewed tomato fan, but then again the way you make yours might change my mind. Who knows... Everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday... no matter how you spend the day or what you eat
