Tis the season for me to write yet another goofy holiday poem! This time I got a little 'Weird Al Yankovic-ish'.....I call this one "Christmas Tree," and it's modeled after Marty's "Trees." So make sure you've got the tune of "Trees" in your head as you're reading it.
Hope you like it! If not, please don't throw TOO many tomatoes at me!!
Christmas Tree (my Christmas version of "Trees")
I don’t wanna go through Christmas
Without you getting a surprise
And I have got it all wrapped up
Don’t shake the box, that’s how it’s got to be.
It’ll be you and me
Under the Christmas tree
And Santa will give us some presents.
It’ll be you and I
Watching the sky
For a sleigh with reindeer flying down from the heavens.
We give, and we receive
In a season that brings us together
We eat more candy then we’ve ever dreamed
And get a stomach ache we fear will last forever.
It’ll be you and me
Under the Christmas tree
And Santa will give us some presents.
It’ll be you and I
Watching the sky
For a sleigh with reindeer flying down from the heavens.

Nice work Christine Here is one from me... it's dark... but, I am just coming out of a phase of writer's block. AloneRunning colors, On the surface of a pond. good work steph! i love it.. i have been feeling a little down lately... today was my last day at school and im a little sad to go.. and i have been dealing with some emotional stuff lately (you know).....

Life isn't easy Christine... although, many people wish it was at least simple. I have had a lot of stuff going on too in my life and around me. I hate drama (believe it or not) and try to keep my life as simple as I can, but sometimes things just don't go they way we plan. Just have faith and keep looking forward. Things pass.... it all is a matter of time. I will keep you in my thoughts young lady. {{{Hugs}}} ~Steph

Christine and Steph - good works from both of you. Hope you both are doing better. Life is a roller coaster ride, that is for sure. Just hold on tight and wait. Embrace the good, and learn from the not so good. Well, at least try . I try to find something to put a smile on my face each day. Anyway, enough of my ramblings. Let's decorate some more  How about a wreath for the door?  |

thanks guys.... i have had some new inspiration as of today to write a new note.... someone from highschool came back into my life today.... and idk if its good yet or not... but so far so good... its just something i have been needing lately... and something i never expected....
