Youth
To young to see what the world means.
Somehow it is all too much, And your emotions rage.
You are lost in thought, Yet not alone.
You can't keep the illusion.
Your spirit in sorrow from that dark depression within.
Wonder what you will become, Magazines and reality television run your show.
Go to the mall to buy a ton of new clothes.
Make yourself unique... So you follow the trends.
Become a drone to fashion, Be distinct and try to fit in.
When you grow up, I hope you can be in a new comfort zone.
Not need the approval of a million clueless friends.
Who would love to maintain control of your priceless soul, And make you sin.
Be who you truly are.
For no one can tell you who that will someday be.
Beautiful child, Dry your eyes.
I believe in my heart that your dreams will be yours, You just have to try.

I see your muse came to ya this spring morning as well! Thanks for sharing and for being such a GREAT soundboard for my poetry entries here. It was March 25th the first time I posted my first poem "A Gypsy's Heart" And I've really seen improvement with every one I written. With you feedback and the rest of the coolest crew here at MC.Org forum...I've really found my wings of poetry writing again! Thank you!! Peace Sunflower Gypsy(Shawna)

Sorry...I am running around the house trying to make it warmer in here for my son and myself. It is not raining, but it is cool out. The hardwood floors just make it cold. I keep logging out.
I am happy that you are finding your voice and that you are improving so much in your writing. That is wonderful thing.
I don't know if you would say my writing is 'muse' related in any way..LOL I just love writing, and that makes it easier for me. I can just go inside myself and find the words. I write what I feel...every emotion has a voice. Creating the characters is as simple as loving life and wanting to share.
When I first started on this board, I never had shared my works. This still really is the only place I share. Hubby bought my poetry book, but has not turned a page in it. My parents and my family have not even bought the book. I guess to each is there own, and when it comes to my creativity...they don't understand me. Strange huh? I thought so, but I am alright with it now.
Anyway...You just keep writing. You are doing so very well!!!

Beauty of You
Time goes by...
Each day offering something new.
Lessons learned.
Adding to the beauty of you.
That's the beauty of you.
Come on and spread your wings.
Show the world what it's never seen.
Be at peace with who you are, Your inner beauty will carry you far.
Never look back, At what may have not been.
Your future is bright.
Know you are not chasing the wind.
Open your heart.
Spread your wings to fly.
Have no reason to doubt, Your talent can touch the sky.
That's the beauty of you.
Come on and spread your wings.
Show the world what it's never seen.
Be at peace with who you are.
Your inner beauty will carry you far.
Just never forget who you are.
Special, unique and true... That is the beauty of you.

This is something I wrote awhile back...dreaming as I am want to do. StareThe silence as he stares deafens you with all he says echoing in your head secret promises that you are his if only for that moment when his gaze meets yours standing before him in the crowd of adoring fans eye to eye in this moment you are lost and you are his ...seems my dream is about to come true... Jet, it's nice to see you here, come more often, nice work! Is it about somebody we are familiar with?...just a guess

Since I am a dreamer...a passionate woman...and a true romantic at heart...Enjoy!
Lost In Bliss
The darkness of the night is forgotten, Along with all her fears of the day.
Tingles of complete awareness, Quickly replace the sharp biting of the cold night air... across her exposed bare flesh.
She can feel the heat of his breath, Move slowly down the graceful column of her neck.
He pauses for a single moment, Above her thunderous racing pulse.
Anticipation builds inside her, She feels close to losing all control.
She cannot think.
Lost to any and all rational thought.
His moist lips, Brush her soft skin in a seductive sweep.
It is playful, Yet with deliberate intent to make her loss all that is left of her sanity.
A soft cry escapes her, A simple plea.
His masculine hands turn her body to face him.
She looks up into his eyes of liquid blue.
So clear are they...
She is captured by emotion.
Not caring about anything else in the world.
Living for only them.
Feeling only him.
He leans down, Taking her mouth as his willing captive.
Lost in bliss....

OUR LIGHT OF HOPE ________________
The light came through my window so bright I was almost blind...a peace came over me as this light consumed my heart.
Click went to music player...and his voice swirled through out the entire room...painting ever wall with bright shades of yellow.
His harmonies are the reason we are here...Marty thank you for your soufulness and your words of peaceful contentment.
The light your bring to us...will connect us here with friendships for life!
May your light burn bright forever!

Follow Your Heart
Wash away the tears of the past, And see the future in a brilliant new light.
You are more than what they see...
Not just some dream, In the chaotic reality called life.
Forget that the world is laying on your shoulders... If you keep this up you will break.
Just move forward, And make your own way.
Can't live in the past... Or dwell in your tears.
It is just you, Now face all your doubt.
You have carried that burden for too many years.
Live for each day.
Follow your heart.
It doesn't matter where you have been, What you have done, Or if you sinned.
All that matters is who you are now.
See what you want.
It is so clear.
You can have it all, Even after a lifetime of fear.
Push harder.
Make the try.
Your friends will catch you, Should you fall from flight.
It's worth the pain... Not the price of fame.
But if this what you dreamed, Then you will only succeed, Just strengthen your heart.
You can never forget that this is you own life... Live it now or just fall apart.
Live for each day.
Follow your heart.
Honestly... It does not matter how your day ended, Just remember that there will always be another fresh start.
You can forget all your past.
This is not the end.
Just strive to win.
Live for each day.
Follow your heart.

Thank you Shawna.
I was inspired by Palari on that one. Something important that she reminded me of, when we spoke on the board last night.

Hi Shawna. Thank you. I was suprised I even had that picture in my files! I was so happy to find it. I made a copy of it, and have it in a frame on my bedroom dresser. Makes me happy to see them both together.
I was going to post something, but I just got home late and I am tired. I had some last minute things come up. I will post tomorrow, if that is alright.
Have a great evening everyone...

Thanks to having cable...A reality television inspired poem...LOL Glory GameWash away the pain of a thousand years, With a single word from your lips? That just does not happen. You have wished for to long to have something, That you have not earned. While others bleed, And have fought for what they have, You have just yearned. Lies. Stealing. You can't win a game, When you cheat everyone without a regret of their pain. Take the flame... Burn so bright... Without honesty you will never be able to maintain the light. Feel the power and the fame? What is left in your awful game? Make the rules up as you go, See for how long the other's will follow you. Will it to happen... What do you have left? Push away those who would love you, Enjoy your glory game. Sacrifice all for a moment in the spotlight.. Hope you don't fall to maintain what you have left. Open your eyes. See the world. The pain will not go away from those you hurt, Why can't you learn? You have to work for every thing you want to get!

I wrote this for my son... My son his first day home with me... My Little Ray of SunshinePeople told me how things were going to change... That my life was never going to be the same. I just closed my eyes, And my heart danced in joy waiting for that single day. First time Mother, I didn't know what to buy... So, I bought one of everything in sight. Quickly did the month's pass by. With each kick I felt, A tear of joy I cried. I couldn't wait to have you at my side. Placed my hand always at my belly, To hold you near. Promised in my heart to you, You would never have anything to fear. Despite many people laughing, I placed headphone's at my belly, And gave you music to hear. I told you many stories... Promised to love you, And to give you the stars and sky. No matter how far or near, I would always try. My body changed, I knew yours did too... I didn't have to see you to know that was true. I waited patiently, For the chance to finally hold you. I longed to simply adore you. When that day finally arrived, I had no doubt in my mind... You were my little ray of sunshine. With your first breath, My soul came to life. Now time continues to pass us by. With each new change you make, I stand by your side. You are growing into a little man. Determined to be a 'rock star'... I believe that you can. My love for you will never change. No matter what you do, My pride in you will stay the same. People told me that my life was going to change... That my life was never going to be the same. I am glad that was so true... My little ray of sunshine I would be nothing without you.
