Thank you Feather. I called him that when he was a baby. Or really "My little ray of sunshine on a cold winter's day"...he made me feel so complete. It is amazing what love a child can bring into your heart, they don't even have to try. My baby is going to turn 4 years old in June.~sigh~ They grow up so fast.

This poem is about a character. The man was weak and fell in with the wrong crowd, and he made mistakes. Now he can't seem to escape his past...
Walking on Water
Paid the price for so many mistakes.
I have swallowed my pride, And changed my ways.
River of tears have fallen from my eyes.
No more are left.
I have nothing to hide.
I never said that I could walk on water.
I never claimed to have an easy life.
What you see before you, Is just a guy that has struggled to survive.
You still speak about me harshly.
Never offer a kind word.
Forgotten by the wayside... I tell you Momma, I have learned.
If I could go back, Take away all your sorrow... So hard I would try.
I never said that I could walk on water.
I never claimed to have an easy life.
What you see before you, Is just a guy that has struggled to survive.
I have asked for forgiveness, Don't know how many times.
Went to pay my penitence at church.
Begged for mercy, Let my heart bleed for all the pain and lies.
Why can't I feel like I can be forgiven.
What is this torment I must carry through life?
I was too weak when I did it, That doesn't mean that I wanted that life!
I never said that I could walk on water.
I never claimed to have an easy life.
What you see before you, Is just a guy that has struggled to survive.
I never once said that I could walk on water.
I was just a guy that struggled to survive.

THE FLIGHT OF LOVE _________________ Blue-eyed doves flew straight over my head.. Their song full of light and love...with a energy that surged through my soul. Their peace lifted my spirits and visions of my destiny made themselves clear as the blue skies that covered the universe that day. Petals of red roses rained upon my shoulders of velvet. Love had touched me that day. __________________ peace Sunflower Gypsy

Lost in Life
Come along.
Take my hand.
I will lead you to a different world, Far from everything, Trust me if you can.
You can spend this lifetime, Dreaming of what could have been.
Live for the moment.
Run faster into the light of life.
Don't fall into sadness.
All your dreams are in your reach.
Throw all caution to the wind.
Your mind is lost in all you have heard.
So filled with doubts, And incredibly unsure.
That is your choice...
Perhaps even a lesson to be learned...
You control your heart, Let it fly higher than a bird.
Why spend a lifetime, Lost in life?
Make your break.
Find your way.
Being lost in life, Is no place to be... I'll drive you insane.
Find your way.
Free your soul.
Create a new path for your life, Brighter than any flame... Let it burn in your hearts control!

Thank you Shawna! I have another one to post. I will have to do that tonight...
I promised Michael (my son) that I would get off the computer soon. I just made him a goldfish animal balloon on a fishing pole ,with a reel. He is content with that, and the Hummingbird balloon hat I made him...so he is watching the Disney Channel Movie waiting for me.

Here's new one for ya.
THE SOUL OF TWO STARS _____________________
Soft warm winds flowed through his sun kissed locks and as he stood on the beach of dreams... a vision came to him.
A vision of emerald jeweled eyes, as kind as the most delicate flower.
Her eyes always brought a calmness to his heart.
His blue eyes of peace consumed every fiber of her soul.
She brought him joy and would forever be infused with his core of dreams for all eternity. ____________________________ Sunflower Gypsy

Shawna and Star, very intricate design of words,...you are both word's painters, yet in your own individual technique. Thank you for sharing

I had a strange song in my head...and I just went with it.
Oblivious
See what you see.
You can't see me.
Your oblivious.
Tell me what to say.
Tell me what to think.
Don't hear my words.
You don't even care.
Oblivious...
So oblivious...
Oblivious to me!
What do I need to do to make my self clear!
I wouldn't stay here and be "repaired"!
I have nothing wrong with me, Get out of my hair!
I am not like you, Thought that is what we shared.
Stop.
Oblivious...
So oblivious...
Oblivious to me!
Can't feel me.
Not wasting another minute, For you to change me.
I wouldn't try to change you... I thought you loved me.
Ripped out my heart, Just to give me a new one from some five and dime company.
That is your solution, To my wild heart that yearns to be me!
Oblivious...
So oblivious...
Oblivious to me!
I am walking out this door... I am setting my noose free from me.
