LOL... You know I agree with you. I wrote "Reflection" when I was at the laundry mat. I was sitting across from the dryer, on top the the folding counter... watching my clothes be tossed and tumbled around... and I saw my reflection in the glass. That made my mind wander off and I came out with the poem.
And, it is a summer that will never end!!! It is so hot and dry... what happened to rain? or at least sweater weather? I am in shorts and a tank top today.
Great poem Blue... it was funny.

Thank you Liz. I like you new piece as well... ... Character pieces are not that difficult for me to write anymore. I just have to commit to that moment, and to the words of the person I am creating. It's like acting on a stage. The character is not me, but I could still relate on some note. The feeling of being lost and emotionally hurt... and that dread that comes with not knowing what comes next. That is what I drew out of my past and placed into this character. The rest is just about letting the words flow, and the story be told.

Wow... I just realized that it has almost been two years since I started this thread... and look at what page we are finally on!! 80!!! If I recall at some point threads will start to break. So, before we risk losing any of our works, I have decided to create a second home for us to all move to. I just wanted to take a moment to reflect on how far this journey has taken me... My first post here was on December 11, 2006... it was my first time sharing my work with anyone. Now two years later I am a professional writer, who has come to realize that through support of so many... that my voice matters. I thank everyone who has joined our thread.. and I am hoping that everyone will continue to share on our new thread... "Got Poetry? II"... so let's start filling those pages
