Star, another great work of yours! I would love to feel that free, but unfortunately there are so many boundaries around me...but I'm happy for you

Because we should honor love enough to give it a proper burial when it dies.
Wake Love
Mourn the loss forget tomorrow Mourn the loss cloaked in sorrow Bury your feelings that’s how it goes Say goodbye and throw a red rose
Say a prayer for the dearly departed Suck it up, the broken hearted Love is fragile and dies too soon I sit quietly my brain to gloom
Chorus Dust to dust – the end has come Ashes to ashes – loves death is here Dust to dust – nowhere to run Ashes to ashes – please clouds do clear
Bridge He took my hand said it would be ok Then held me close – survive the day It’s ok to cry, the tears do not fight Death of love always begets twilight I need some comfort, please stay near And tell me when the clouds will clear
Wake lost love – don’t be a coward A single mourner in a silent hour Take care the heart forever broken Hope for new love, words not yet spoken
Chorus Dust to dust – the end has come Ashes to ashes – loves death is here Dust to dust – nowhere to run Ashes to ashes – please clouds do clear

Another great work Boston. You are a wonderful song writer. It is nice that Love can be given a proper burial when it dies. Many prefer to keep it with them in their souls...allowing the pain to rot inside them. Sometimes, you just have to put things to rest. Even love.

Thanks Star. This and Insane Love were very hard to write and very special to me. Hard to believe that I have come so far in the last 6 months and willing to share with others. Life certainly is full of surprises.

Boston, It's very beautiful and sad at the same time...I love it I've just recorded a new piece of mine...it's also very slow and sad, I can see them as a perfect match.

Dedicated to Tara. A good friend who left us this week. Love you, Tara.
Tears of a Woman
Do not watch my cry You cannot help You have no answers I need to lift myself
My tears are from strength Your mistake to think weakness Need to release the hurt inside And make room for sweet wishes
Chorus I cannot fall Who will pick me up? Tears of a woman Shed throughout time Tears of a woman Gods gift – she will survive
I have wisdom to follow the path Strength to carry all that I have Patience to forever hold your hand Create that needed soft place to land
No matter – will move us forward And love you beyond forever Please give me time to heal Shed tears so well deserved
Chorus I cannot fall Who will pick me up? Tears of a woman Shed throughout time Tears of a woman Gods gift – she will survive
Chorus I cannot fall Who will pick me up? Tears of a woman Shed throughout time Tears of a woman Gods gift – she will survive

I like to think of this latest piano piece "Contemplaion 1" as a Tone Poem. It works well as a companion piece to Boston's writing. In addition, at the link you will find the instrumental "Outside The Window" which Star put lyrics to on another thread. They can both be found at this link: www.esnips.com/web/IWOmusic*Hosting Site Has Been Changed*

This one I wrote as a character. A tragic relationship that is at the breaking point, and both people are emotionally hurting each other. Finally one of them has decided to end it, and walk away.
Breaking Up
I have stood here for much too long...
Staring at what is left of our once 'happy home'.
There you are...so proud.
Coming home late every night.
Refuse to kiss me, I am still here.
Never touch me, I remember doing the same thing to you.
I know the truth.
Am I the stranger?
Are you?
I will not be subjected to this punishment of my heart, just to make you feel better.
Don't I have needs?
I had them before I met you, maybe I am not supposed to have any of those now too.
Why is it that I am wrong?
Society waits eagerly to tag a bright scarlet letter on my chest, and I have done nothing wrong!
...or have I?
I don't understand reality any longer... I cheated and so did you.
Fine!...Are we even now?
I just see a brighter future for myself... you just aren't in it any longer.
Oh,I forgot... I am not allowed.
How long have we been together?
It feels like years, and it has been too many for both of us.
I am supposed to stand by my failing relationship, pretend that everything is perfect.
You left me long ago.
Our bed a grave...
I wake up every morning six feet under, wondering why I have to endure so much pain.
Hold my breath.
Lie to the world.
I refuse!
I will walk away...this is our breakup.

Star, if it's such a thing as a conversational-monologue,this is a perfect one! I admire you for not being afraid to experiment

Ok...here are some of mine. They're really short.
Shadow
She goes to the deepest, darkest corner Away from all society Afraid, alone, unloved There’s no one there for her Hair covering face Head in between knees She disappears in the light She’s a shadow.
Ballerina
First position Now a twirl She leaps through The sky She’s a bird She’s calm And relaxed With her Pointed toes And tutu She’s beautiful With her enormous Smile She’s a ballerina
Lost
I’m lost I’ve got nowhere To run or hide I see all these face Looking at me Like I’m some Kind of freak Or just a stupid kid With raggedy clothes Messy hair I’m lonely I’m lost
Herself
She’s running As fast as she can But she can’t seem To get away from The thing That’s destroying her Life One day at a time She’s running As fast as she can From Herself
Peace
I am a prisoner Of a war between Life and death Good and evil I may always be locked Away in my cell Unless people can stop fighting I am a prisoner Unless there is Peace.
Lie
He’ll never come clean No matter what He doesn’t want to go To jail to pay the price Of the crime he did Two innocent people died A mother and baby Deven She fought for her life Scratched and kicked Until time ran out Poor Deven Just a few moths old Thrown from the car window And rolled down a hill Joggers found her Called the police Now he’s here The one that killed them And he’s not coming clean He’s just lying
