I really wanted supplies for my trip to New Zealand. Simple things like clothing for the summertime and socks. I also wanted to get a chair for my apartment. I have a nice couch but need a proper chair that feels right for sitting and playing guitar comfortably. No arms and a slight lean back to just chill out and strum. That will be my gift to myself. You always have to get yourself something for Christmas RIGHT!!!!! Absolutley! Gift to myself....a trip, a trip to someplace where it snows for NYE. [/IMG]
Wish I could see you there gain this year.

I want to se some of those oldie Christmas tv shows with early early animation. They are so cool to watch and really are amazing. Just something about them that makes you feel like a kid! It wouldn't be Christmas without watching National Lampoon Christmas Vacation. ;D It wouldn't be Christmas for me without eating cold, salty ham on toast for breakfast and then have my mum chase me away telling (more like yelling with a smile) me the ham is for lunch!

Blind Boys of Alabama are amazing. We were fortunate enough here at IU to have the Singing Hoosiers and get to hear them sing some really great songs. They sang everything from traditional Adeste Fideles...which being raised Catholic really reminds me of the big midnight christmas mass...to more up beat songs like Too Fat to fit down the Chimney!

Does anyone who lives in a warm climate miss having snow on the ground for Christmas. I was in Mexico a few years back and really felt I needed to see some snow. I guess it all depends on what it was like when you were a kid. We could all use some heat in the midwest. It snowed here Christmas eve 4 years ago. The only real snow here in about a hundred years. Must be why I love it so much, i've never had enough of it.

One of my favorite Christmas Albums is by "The Fab Four" (Beatle impersonators) - they take traditional Christmas carols and put them to Beatles tunes. I first heard it in a bar in NYC and got the CD's for myself. Lots of fun a Christmas parties....

I have to head out everyone. I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays and Happy New Year. This party was REALLY fun and we will have to do it again. Thanks for setting it up!
The KIDS SEE STARS gift has really made my year and thanks to everyone that helped make that happen.
I'm really in a great mood after connecting with all of you. This just feels SO GOOD!
All the best,
Marty

Every year different Australian singers get together and record Christmas songs for the Starlight Foundation. I buy the CD every Christmas and its always fantastic.

a great Christmas song is "Peace On Earth" - Bing Crosby + David Bowie. Such a unique pairing of singers makes for a GREAT Christmas song!! Here you go!
