I especially love Marty in this lower register and at the very end this sort of raw/gruff sound to his voice..super sexy. Me too! I call it the "Marty growl."

According to someone on another board, Marty gave Suzie McNeil a tune to use, and she put Christmas lyrics to it. That tune was the one for "Everything". It became her song "It's Christmas Time". You can hear it on her MySpace: www.myspace.com/suziemcneilmusicGood work to the sleuth on that board!

Just wanted to add that at first I was surprised by "Everything", because it is more pop than rock, but Marty is able to pull that off, too. He is such a versatile performer, and no one can say that all his songs sound alike. His voice sounds great, and the message of the song is one that I really needed to hear right now. I hope he does play it for the kids at the CanTeen show.

"Everything" is such an "Inspirational" song. I'm so glad Marty decided to share this song with the world and he chose the most Perfect time to share it too.

You're absolutely right Rachael! It seems like a lot of his new music is really taking a positive tone verse some of the older stuff which seemed to have a lot of angst. I like both because they both bring a very different energy. I suspect our Marty is in a very good place right now (why shouldn't he be..everywhere Marty is, is a happy place!) and his music is his way of expressing that.

Does anyone have a song list for the new lh's CD "Let Me Go"? I'm wondering if any of Marty's new songs are on there. And is there a general release date?
I lovelovelove the songs on the music page! "Everything" is absolutely perfect. Yeah, I'll be carrying my laptop around like a boombox plugged into my headphones until I can get it on my iPod! Love the growly "Just Go"... and "That's Life"... and "I See Stars"... and Marty in general, LOL.

I'm pretty sure there is no track list or release date as yet. There was a pre-sale update today saying that the pre-sale would be over soon, so there might be some news once that ends.

Marty said in an interview that they will start recording the LH Let Me Out album next month. So my assumption is that they have not finalized what will be on the cd, and we will not see it for some time.

I listened to Suzie's and it is cool.....amazing how the same melody can have 2 different songs. However, I swear I've heard this melody or something VERY Similar....maybe it was in a movie or on a holiday commercial. Did anyone else have that same deja vu feeling?

There is not one song that MARTY sings that i do not like. HE IS ONE OF A KIND.
When I see programs like the Grammys, it ticks me off that MARTY is not represented, he is soooooooo far better than most of the nominees. My wish for him is that he gets the recognition that he sooooo deserves.
His new songs are the best. LOVE THEM.

Just listened to the songs again. That's Life has changed a bit in this version. I'd still like to see it with a bit of the raw, angsty feeling. Let's face it, life is not always so cheery and upbeat. If I wanted upbeat, I'd listen to the Jonas Brothers. (oh wait, that'd be Teenbeat! ) Love, love Just Go!!!!

Just got done listening to Everything (over & over again) and was reflecting just how much it has impacted me over the last couple of months. My life has been extremely challenging, alot of change, alot of pain & alot of choices. This song & the way Marty expresses himself/voice through it continues to touch me just the same as it did the first time I heard it back in January. This song is timeless. It stills makes me smile, it still brings tears to my eyes, and it still leaves me with such a hopeful feeling. Was just reflecting & felt the need to express my thankfulness. He'll neva know just how much it has encouraged me. Thank you so much, Marty!

My new favorite that touches my heart is Honest I'll Wait. It has so much meaning in my life right now. And the way he performed it on that morning show was just breathtaking. I think the best is yet to come. He is growing as an artist and is so generous sharing so much of his unreleased music. Very special.

I have been lucky enough to meet him twice, and I think he is, by far, one of the most gracious people I have ever had the chance to meet. I am with ya hammersister!
